      I learn best with TAB. That allows me to figure the repeated structures in the melodies. I REALLY struggle to figure things by looking at fingers and spoken TAB , so a downloadable PDF of the TAB of the lesson is essential. Rhythmic notation above or in the TAB would make a serious difference as well.

      @@jeremyacton4569 Hi Jeremy, for the next videos I'll have a more zoom-in shot of the left hand/frets. Tabs at this point in time aren't in my plans but will make an announcement if they come out! I went slow step by step verbally in this video, hopefully this will be a good starting point.     Thanks Don for this installment. Was waiting for this for a long long time. I would like maybe an indication of the guitar playing level requirement that the tutorial is for : Beginner or Intermediate. This is awesome work Don.

      I would classify this as "intermediate" to play it properly in time but that's just my opinion. The reason I don't classify this explicitly is that I don't want classifications to limit anyone's playing. I hope this helps. Thank you for your compliments!

    Bro, you took long to get started on these tutorials.. Good that you finally came round to it. We need a tutorial on Guitar Amp settings for both the Rhythm and Solo guitar for the general Soukous Sound, such as the Bokelo Sandoka cover you did.. Would not hurt also to know how you hold the pick and how you position it on the guitar body for the crisp and fast picking notes

      Hi Sylvester, you can to a certain extent but it will be more work for the hands. The best thing without a capo is to slightly modify the playing so it's easier on the hands. Knowing the basic melody and rhythm and how it falls in place with the other parts is key. That's my two cents. If someone else has a better solution, I'm all ears :)

    Much appreciation Don! I have a question. The rhythm guitar no.2 seems to be different than the part you are playing in your cover video from 2011. If you know that part will you teach it to us please? Also, Massu would be another great tutorial!

      You're welcome. The 2011 version I did had a rhythm part that was my own. In the tutorial for this song, I wanted to be as close as I could to the original. I think a tutorial for Massu as well!

    9:21 so the first pick up starts at low C. Are you saying the second rhythm is another octave higher (middle C)? Does not sound anything like yours on my piano. I know nothing about guitar and just learning piano
