Why do English only speaking people get so furious when dealing with the citizens of the country they are visiting? Not everyone in the world speaks English. It's not a crime to not speak English when you live in a country that has another language. If you are an English speaker, pull out the translation dictionaries and brush up on some important phrases, and go with a tour group that has a translator. And here's a helpful hint:speaking English very loudly doesn't make it more understandable. It just annoys people.
Beve Smith : He didn’t say he didn’t speak English, or had never heard anyone speak it. Foreign accents are usually identifiable even if it’s not your first language. Smh 🤦♀️
Sandra Nelson : My understanding is that the tourist was a person whose first language was not English, which is why the OP couldn’t understand. E.g., like someone from India trying to speak broken English very fast. If he could speak proper English, the OP would have understood.
@@TheTwoBeauties Possibly, but some English accents are so thick that other English people can barely understand them. There are clips (mostly on TV) of people speaking a form of English that literally nobody who isn't from their neck of the woods can make out more that a word or two!
Something I have noticed in thinking of the last story, it seems 9 out of 10 times a person posting apologizes for any mistakes in their English grammar being a non English as their first language person their English is better than so many native English speakers posting here.
At my old job we has fake money printed up with our CEO’s face on it and we were each issued an amount of “cash” that we used to gamble with then we used our winnings to bid on items...lots of fun.
1: Dump a drink on an Employee, say adios to your winnings. 2: I cannot believe that it took a car to make that Karen realise that OP didn't work at that store. 3: Least the big guy had the common sense to leave once he finished ranting like crazy and got all red faced till he decided to do the same to the Security Guard only for them to do the same to the big guy only in another language.
I’ve always thought that people make fools of themselves when they speak louder to someone who doesn’t speak their language. They aren’t deaf, they just don’t understand or don’t feel comfortable speaking in your language. I’m fluent in two other languages besides English and I can understand and make myself understood in 2 more. I find languages fascinating. I had a college professor some 30+ years ago that was taking several languages and taking the shortest word for an object irrespective of the language and making up his own language. As I recall he spoke 8 or 9 languages. He was an amazing man.
I've studied some Spanish, German and French. I'm not completely fluid in any of them, but I know that if I were to spend time really studying them I would be able to do fairly well. French was the last language I studied. One day, I was doing my homework and realized the sentence I had just translated was part Spanish, part German and part French!
my work hired one of those casino companies for our Christmas party they are really fun :) and im sure if they worked for them she would not have a job anymore
P.S I drive almost 600 miles a NIGHT. And am so glad it's a fireplace for your so I can listen and not have the distraction of a vid. But like I said in the before comment. That French one had me in tiers. My wife is Canadian French so I see the humor of both sides. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMIMG PLS
Protip: Don't go to another country where the native language isn't the same as yours and expect everyone to just miraculously understand you. The Gift of Tongues is given to very few; for the rest, there's Google Translate (or better yet, learning a few key phrases of the native language).
Man some of these people have a lot more patience than I do. Course when I tell them ( I don't work here ) and they call me a liar to my face. I'm sorry but I would be done popped one of them. And then I would just stand there and keep repeating the same thing. Sorry I don't work here. 😕 just picture them words being said over and over for about a hundred times. 😒
I speak English, but when I am in non English speaking countries I don't automatically assume every person I meet speaks English. I as a tourist in the U.K. And the USA have had to change my normal speaking pattern to be understood ( I am Australian)...
I subscribed to your channel ages ago, but I have to say that constant fire visual was disturbing, particularly when large areas of Australia, where I live, was on fire...thankfully that's over for another year, but I'd have preferred some vision of cool, calming waters...or even snow.
OMG I smile a lot at your stores and helps me pass the time away as I drive for a living. This French one had me laughing so hard if I was not at home to finish listening I am sure I would have to pull over because I laughed so hard. Injoy all of them and I may have one but the end of it has not come. CHEERS AND THANK YOU. 👍👍👍👍
The crazy part is these are the same types of assholes that get so mad when people don't speak English in the U.S. And yet, somehow it's ok for them to not speak the language of another country that *they* are visiting.
i binge watch these o.o i usually work retail/customer service and have had to deal with many karens....legit why they all have the same hair cut......
You have to laugh at the English for assuming that everyone speaks English, it may well be the international language of choice But not everyone speaks it. I've always found this hilarious since my first visit to Spain!!! 😵
Seriously is this channel owned by a non native english speaker and hosted by an american? The thumbnails/titles are often in broken english and the host is obviously a very literate American. This bugs me more than it should I just want an answer
Tourists in ANY country are SO intitled. Even if they are in the same country they are from. My condolences to ANYONE that works in retail.
Two OPs: "English is not my first language." Well, you speak and write it better than a lot of native speakers do, OPs!" Impressive!

The thing I wondered is if English wasn't his first language, how did he know the English-speaking guy had a thick accent?

I love how they all claim to not be stupid but their words and actions prove them wrong.
Do you think I'm stupid?
Well, ma'am, all I can go by is how you're acting.
These stories are always hectic
When "took my foot back" turns into "took my back foot."
You have such a wonderful delivery. Great way to wake up.

Just cause the person is the owner doesn't mean that they will change things cause you say so just to clarify

Yay, More stories !!
I've worked at several casinos, over the years, where I've had numerous drinks thrown at me. Never a dull moment.

I always learn two important phrases: Where is the toilet? and How much does this cost?

Exactly. The "broken record" treatment, like you give a toddler when they want candy too close to dinner.

You should narrate audio books!
Hey Mr Wheel🤣🤣🤣
You need to do a few longer ones so I can listen as I go to sleep and don't have to keep starting a new one.😂

I think it's RUclips who makes up the thumbnails, and some are totally laughable.
All the stores I've heard clear I see stupid 😂
