First off, good luck with the swap. Love the determination although sad to see the titanium silver go, RIP. I just wanted to point out that the rear sub frame may be worth reinforcing now since you already have it down and are installing powerflex. I did the same without reinforcing the front differential mount and somewhere around a year later the beast just completely twisted and chewed the front mount sideways. I ended up buying a new subframe and brought it straight to the welder. What a headache. If you compare to the newer models they have two mounts while we only have one up front. Dinan used to sell a kit to reinforce it ( just a plate and bushing) but I didn't bother with that. I worked with my local guy to get an extra plate welded. Hopefully saves you some trouble down the road.
Oh yes they are indeed!!! And wagons with power are even better! With this, I'll be hauling my V10 M3 to the track. Just imagine how many tires I can fit on those trips haha
Halfway through, love how videos make stuff seem ez but even just taking everything out of the engine bay, prepping and respray I know that shit was tedious haha
Hahaha nailed it! Videos are so quick but yeah, to get it to this part of the build is a lot of hours and physical work. Easy, sure, but time consuming. Really helps when you have a great team with you to knock as much out as possible.
I already gave you a lot of shit about this M5 on IG and here but as long as its a clean build it should be great. Good luck! P.S. You should reinforce the front diff mount as its a known failure point on the rear subframe (It broke on my M5).
Hahaha yes you have, and I'll take it! I know where you're coming from bro, truly I understand and partially agree, but it's too late now! Sorry not sorry! Noted! Didn't really know those are common on the wagons!
