After the inspection, the buyer said that he is buying the car without any negotiation. We are friends to this day and he is consulting with me for the maintenance of the car :)

We all know what happened: BMW Gods chased away bad weather in Sweden so the M5 can have another life breathed into it. Being Sreten's close friend I'm also grateful to Michael and his family for warm welcome and being honest seller. Sadly, that's becoming rarity these days.

I love the M5 and this is a great video, but my favourite part of this video is the fact that in Europe you can go to a train station and get a fresh healthy sandwich and a coffee, unlike the fast food dog crap that we get at every corner here in North America. I was in Germany a little over 10 years ago and I loved that!!

Seeing Europe males me so sad cause I miss it so bad. Was in the Military and traveled all over Europe, it was so gorgeous! I loved everything from the paninis, the coffee, the Gelato, the food,nthe European architecture, the museums, the clubs and of course the women.

As a trainee, i used to do PDIs on new BMWs and whenever an M5 got bought in, it was tradition to creep and then give it a blast of revs. It would be closely followed by a cheer from the lads. Happy E39 memories. Beautiful car.

Its so scary! I've been wanting a bmw wagon for awhile but I just don't want the problems that come with having a bmw. I'm lucky enough to have someone like an hour away that worked for bmw but still lol. Everyone loves BMWs until they have to pay $2,000 to put in a part that costs $25
I have an 00 M5 and have done all the work myself in my garage. That includes valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, replaced the ABS module and manifold/pump, replaced the purge valve (deep under the intake manifold, differential bushings, front and rear control arms, bushings and ball joints, thermostat, rebuilt the sunroof which involved removing the entire cassette, E60 545 shifter with UUC selector rod, euro xenon headlights....lots of other misc things. It's crazy when I actually list all of that off. It's a lot of satisfying work. The crappiest job was easily pulling the differential out to do the bushings. I had to buy a very expensive special tool and the rear end is extremely heavy and awkward. I also have a 97 M3 that I recently replaced the engine and clutch along with a lot of other work. Definitely a labor of love. My E90 335xi sits collecting dust as I love my M cars and prefer to drive them.

I love these cars, but that's far from what I want. I actually hate how overpriced they are nowadays to the point that even rough examples command silly money. I wish they don't skyrocket like E30 M3 as they'll become unobtainable for most people.

@@M539Restorations I’ve just looked on Autotrader here in the UK. Cheapest V8 is £18k....and the wheel is on the wrong side, in your eyes anyway!
