I like to go .25 on the lemon juice and 1.5 on the pom juice
-The lemon juice I was using was no good. I'm back to .5 but have started using Coconut Rum instead of Bourbon. 🤌

@@KJ-je9pm lol yeah literally every regular episode has a guest, they've done a very small number of summer episodes a couple years that did not have a guest and were half as long as normal.
There are 177 regular episodes, all about an hour long with a guest. There are 12 half length summer episodes with no guest.
Somebody saying "I don't like when they have guests" obviously hasn't listened to the podcast very much.
I’ll never get over how amazed Conan is at how normal people hang out 😂 Gourley’s back yard is a secret high point for him I think
As a bartender, the only thing I would change is that I would muddle the strawberries IN the shaker before pouring over ice and topping with ginger beer, but the color difference would definitely be cooler if you wait to add the strawberries until the end.
I loved the backyard session. Please do a couple more. You three are great in the studio! But the backyard session felt like three great friends, chilling, and talking about life.
Absolutely love Conan O'Brien I've been watching him since I was 13 and he just started The Late Show and not a year has gone by that I haven't watched it whatever he's done consistently. I love the success that he's having with this podcast and that it's a good fit for him and he's out of the talk show game which he basically defined for a whole new era. The fact that Sona has a book that is so successful is amazing. When she got hired as his talk show host assistant I guarantee you she had no idea that she was also meeting a lifelong friend and colleague and somebody who is going to actually help make her life better. And Matt really just kind of came out of nowhere and he's now one of my favorite people and the way he clicks with Conan O'Brien is very natural and I feel like the three of them really are friends and not just people who work together. When I look at a new show or like sports center I imagine at the end of the day these guys go their separate ways but I think a Christmas time Conan Matt and Sona all have a lot of time together. And none of this Empire is built on putting people down or political division or even raunchy comedy. 99% of what gets produced could be showed to it 10 year old. Maybe not the masturbating bear

Just happy Conan is still doing something. I called him the funniest man on TV when he started back in '93... and it continued. Now, the funniest man in Podcasting.
Conan came out of this experience with the determination that he is paying his employees too much.
I think you haven't considered what it would cost him to genuinely praise the crew without following it up with something undermining the compliment.

We'll never know if Conan's "praise" option will a) cause him physical and psychic pain to bestow, and 2) actually lead the praised person to widespread recognition as well as incredible financial and personal success in life.
Should've been his policy with celebrity guests on his show. I'm inclined to think many of the millionaires would've chosen praise. He probably pays podcast guests.

Brain Jones of The Rolling Stones died on July 3rd, 1969, found died floating in his underground pool. At the time of his death, he had a drug problem. It is believed he was on something wondered into his back yard and fell into his pool since he was intoxicated, he could not swim and drowned.

Conan at gourley’s house was a very interesting episode of Conan learning to fight narcissistic jealousy and to be humble. Matt is effortlessly cool and a self loving nerd and Conan hates it.
