I've only just discovered this 13 years later, but I can say whole heartedly having been a kid who grew up with animusic this is one of the most beautiful dedicational pieces I've seen! The song is so ethereal and lovely and the animations are spot on; it gave me chills and made me tear up with the same amazement I had as a kid, thank you for this beautiful piece!
@ThinkGamer i thought virt was laid off from the company. And that the developers moved on the UE4 to finish the project. any information about this on discord?
@ThinkGamer This is huge news. VirtualTurtle is officially part of the Animusic 3 team? If so, for the first time in years, I may actually have hope to believe that Animusic 3 will eventually be finished.
It’s still being worked on daily. Wayne has several health issues that make computer work rather difficult and painful. We have confirmation, however, that it’s still in the works. More info and rumors can be found on the discord
And as of today I am very pleased and grateful also proud of everyone's efforts and success in making Animusic 3 A REALITY THANKS FOR ALL THE MAN AND LAIDIE 'S Hours that has brought this amazing Visual And countless tracks of sound to the world 🌎. In the next few weeks or months lol we will be collaborating to narrow the winner 🏆 and winners of the first prize sweat shirt and add to our team more staff positions the amount of slots will be announced soon.
Some things maybe, but structurally, a good chunk of their stuff would fail (i.e. Gyro Drums). And, I disagree, many of their pieces would be physically impossible to build (and work) without heavy modification (Pogo Sticks, Fiber Bundles, etc).
The original (first video) you posted had a different version of the song included during a credits scene that was great to listen to. Would like to hear that again.
@@Epsilonlogan Wow, I can't believe you remember that! Send me a message via my Facebook page (Derek Hugger Kinetic Art), and I can send you a copy of it.

I've come along a lot of fanmade animusic stuff, but you really struck me on this one as I almost thought this was the REAL animusic. This is really a video in the way Animusic could have done it, with a high eye for the slightest detail. I am really frustrated that it takes me so long to taste Animusic 3, but you really made it up for the long wait, even though this is not the REAL animusic. I'd almost petition the guys at Animusic to add this to their DVD :)
ATUxRECON Trust me (I am TheRealTricky btw... RUclips is often mixing my names up), if this was a real AniMusic I'd be likely to know, as I have the entire collection and I am a backer of AniMusic 3. It's possible you've seen it before as a lot of people stole this video putting the credit either on themselves or the real AniMusic. And if you are really certain this comes from the REAL Animusic, then come with solid proof (and the only way I can think of now is by hearing Wayne Lytle himself confirm your claim).
Haven't seen this in years but the algorithm just brought it back to my attention - I remember it clear as day! Thank you for creating a happy moment in my internet childhood.
Ive seen alot of fan Animusic animations and this one i gotta say is my favorite. Even though alot of recent ones are visually impressive, they lack originality, borrowing alot of assets of visual details from Animusic. This one however is entirely unique, and i really enjoy it for that.
It's a real shame you didn't continue on this path for your life and at the same time I can speak as to the joy your musical expression brought to so many people, through each and every life you had effected with this one song. Thank you for the 300 hours of your life.
Watching it again... I need to say I'm still blown away bz the beauty and elegance of the steam punk inspired music machine animation. This well surpasses the great pieces on Animusic. Your masterpiece should be well more known. Also the music.... great
Why is this only now being recommended to me? This is AMAZING. I wish Animusic could have continued, however I understand health being the most important. I was very sad to hear Animusic 3 was never coming because of cancer. My band teacher would play animusic so much I bought them both. Wonderful piece and you NAILED the animusic sound.
This video, man, brings me back to Elementary school. Really young. I would love love love to see this remastered visually. Add some physical texture to the environment, polish up some of the metals, and spice it up with dynamic lighting and ray tracing this would be an absolute masterpiece.
I remember being obsessed with Animusic in 5th grade (2006-07) and finding this and your other work (Harmonic Balance and The Eeclie) and being similarly impressed. I'm glad to have found them again; they're a piece of my childhood. Part of my interest and success in music can be attributed to that time, and so also in part to you. Thank you.
The way you did this, the look, the music, the colors. You definitely are an underground music producer and I want more of this! I watch your other videos and love them all. But it's been a long time since you did an animusic style, but hell. If you did an album of this, I would definitely buy it!
Thanks! I did it in my spare time while in college. Start to finish, it took about 300 hours (not including render time). Animusic and rolling ball sculptures were the inspiration. It was created using Garageband, 3ds Max, Photoshop, and iMovie.

Again, after I saw "Harmonic Balance," I say wow. Granite, I keep thinking that there must be a more realistic sound of the balls running against the bars. But than again, those balls also can't realistically hit each target @ the right places & thymes, even in a vacuum. I think I'm lookin' @ another non-Animusic masterpiece here, dhugger.
Oh my god, how did you do this with such polish? An incredible, beautiful, new and original tune never before thought of, combined with animation features worthy of the great Animusic itself! This should be featured in Animusic III.
I love how this video has aged well just like the official Animusic videos. What also helps is that it has a more unique set-up than many other fan-made Animusic videos. I honestly believe Wayne and Dave should have made something like this for Pipe Dream 2 instead of re-texturing the first Pipe Dream setup for Pipe Dream 2. (Like how Gyro Drums in Animusic 2 is very much similar to Animusic 1's Drum Machine due to the setup and songs being nearly nothing but drums but are still different because they use completely different stages and designs.) I wholly believe that this animation is one of the best fan-made Animusic videos ever designed and also the first one to achieve any sort of quality close to the official ones.
@dhugger I admire your efforts. Animusic has it easy so I can't commend them for simply playing music and the animation animates the moment they play something I commend you for the work you put into this and harmonic balance. BTW Remember me? I commented a little to much way back when. because you did such a great job your songs are memorable and they remind me of when I started using broadband internet five years ago.
