I love how the first 30 seconds of this video seemed like an actual conversation between Superman and Brainiac, and then it turned into a typical Solid JJ skit.
That’s how all of his skits are
And then it again seemed like a plot from actual Superman comic... but then it became comic book twist
I thought all Solid JJ skits were structured this way, but maybe that's just me 😅

To Brainiac none of the planets have any worth because they insist on changing. If he blows them up and keeps a sample he has a perfectly sterile and controlled source of information that never changes.
There was a comic and an animated movie where he gets punched through the wall of his ship and lands in a swamp. All the microbes and bugs in the water freak him out.

I think my heart skipped a beat when I heard him say "There is war, there is evil, but tell me one planet that has none". I've heard dozens of speeches about the value of human life and humanity and Earth, but I have rarely heard speeches that acknowledge our faults and stand proud of us anyway. I feel like that aspect is what makes humanity truly amazing: our potential. No matter how bleak and sad our world may seem, there is always the potential to become something better

But at superman's core he is just a Clark Kent, and Clark Kent is human
And he's seen the best of humanity and has been raised by his parents to be a grateful man.

In most comic book universes, Earth is a treasure beyond measure, or the most mind-boggling danger to all of existence, and can toggle from one to the other within days, or be both at the same time.
The irony here is that Braniac is just trying to give Superman every opportunity to pull this off, like a SNL Jeopardy question. "Just say anything Superman, even if it's just a number. ANY number!"
Because Braniac is a supercomputer .. and has already seen everything on the internet. He already knew we were doomed.

I really loved what this show did with Brainiac by connecting him to Clark's/Kal-El's origin and people on Krypton as the former Kryptonian AI who chose to let the planet die of natural cause for Braianc to save itself and become the villain we all know. While I do also like when the adaptation make Braianic a different former alien scientist from Colu who couldn't save his own people, reflecting what would happen if Superman had no humanity as Clark Kent, I still really love this shows depiction of the character and Corey Burton was excellent in the role
Corey Burton nailed the voice. Even though he doesn't technically emote you can just feel the hint of tones even if he's just monotoning and talking in
1. Smug when he's explaining to Jor El that he's prioritised himself over Krypton
2. Frustration when he makes Luthor build him a new body and Luthor insisting on food and sleep.
3. Flamethrowering Batman and finding out it was Superman in a borrowed suit. "This was highly improbable."
