@@waxy1962 There are many parts of the world that go down to -15. Even once if someone needs to be somewhere. Their car must be capable to bring them where they need to be when they need to be there at all times. Otherwise, the vehicle is not practical.
As an EV owner no we wouldn’t be able to match a time of a gas car for a trip of course. To be honest I wouldn’t take my ev on a long distance road trip, but I always rented cars for road trip’s anyways. I still enjoy my Tesla and would never want to go back to gas anyways

My car delivers a range of 570 miles and cost me 41K. Yeah i think I'll keep my jaguar XJL and leave more than well enough alone......

@@waxy1962 I make the 831 mile trip from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville 3 times a year not including other mid range travels. I have no use for a short range car gas or electric. I brought a large full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make, i fuel up (once a month) at 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours. Range 570 miles which supersedes any EV. My jaguar XJl is paid off at 41K. Reliable in any temperature and is more than very comfortable but a pleasure to drive. Now i have piece of mind when i travel knowing that i not only have the ability to keep moving, but when i do stop, its usually for anything else but fueling. Keep the EV. I just don't have the time to stay awhile.

THe key word in every one of these cars is WILL...So thay arent even made letalone on the road...anyone can spue numbers of things that arent even built yet....At least Tesla and Rivian have vechels going down the road and showinng actuall numbers in practice....Don't spue me a bunch of crap ...just make the dam thing and proove it's numbers.

How about being able to fully charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent in the same amount of time it takes to fully fuel a regular car at 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours? If your EV loses power and gets stuck on a snowy road, there is no way to quickly replenish the power. Your only option is to have your car towed or leave it there and go home.

I have an EV. Its great; however when u go on a trip over 100 miles plan a lot of extra time to and from your destinations....
