About 10 years ago, I was riding with my adult son on our way home around 11 pm. We were almost home when he was pulled over for a burned out tag light. The lights came on right before we turned into the alley to pull into the driveway. After looking at my son's license, the cop asked accusingly, "why did you turn into the alley?". He was holding my son's license which had the correct address while standing directly in front of the garage with the house number boldly displayed. Duh. An hour and six cop cars later, unable to find any warrants or any other violations, they finally left. Yes, a burned out tag light required 6 patrol cars apparently.
It's also ILLEGAL to arrest her on her property without a warrant.

There’s no way they are ever going to admit to a bad arrest on your camera while that arrest is going on. My niece ran away one night, i went out looking for her. Apparently i rolled a stop sign right near my house. A cop saw me and initiated a stop, i was right near my driveway so i pulled over in my driveway. He is immediately aggressive and calls for backup. They surround my car with 6 cops, i tried explaining the situation and they said "we dont care you can file a missing person report if we dont arrest you". The one pig wearing a body camera was knocking on my window making faces and taunting me. They kept insisting they were there to help. They wrote me 6 tickets (all dismissed) then left without offering to help find my 15 year old niece. Protect and serve! They recently lost their accreditation and their chief was placed on probation, wonder why.

@@forrestegan I'm not sure if that helps much either. They passed SB20-217 in Colorado in 2020. Has anything changed there? I don't have much data, but at least the number of people killed by police has NOT decreased. I found articles on two officers charged with assault since then. There's over 10000 cops on patrol, so that doesn't seem like a representative number to me.

Having been on this earth over 6 decades I was one of those “back the blue “ idiots until recently. What changed me was the treatment my retirement aged wife received at the hands of the pinellas county sheriff’s office. And that’s what is happening across America…Everyday law abiding people are now hating the cops because of their unprofessional behavior and incompetence.
I'm also over 6 decades on the earth, always was told to trust the authorities. Nothing has happened to me or mine personally, thank God, but I have seen enough of these videos to utterly distrust cops. And authority in general, but cops I avoid now.
I’m just glad people are finally seeing it. Back in the time before readily available cameras, a lot of this police injustice was going unnoticed and unreported. But these videos are enlightening people to what is really going on. The blue line thugs are terrorizing the streets and completely disregarding the law.

People see the cops violating people's rights and they think well they must have done something or they are White Trash, or they only do it to Blacks so I'm safe. This emboldens cops to do it to anyone that next thing they are doing it to a middle class, middle aged woman.
I used to ‘back the blue” also. I have met some very honest and good cops in my lifetime. But in the last couple of decades police all over America have transformed into criminals themselves, and their organizations are now the biggest criminal gangs of all. They act with immunity also. We need to end qualified immunity.
