That's true for 2000 years. Because all land north of the Himalayas belong to China, and all land south of the Himalayas belong to India. The average elevation of the Himalayas is 20,000 ft and it forms a formidible physical barrier between China and India. That's why not a single Indian ever live in Tibet for 2000 years.

What? "Tibetans are fighting for a free Tibet from China?" Was Tibet invaded by China? Not. Tibet is the territory of China. Is part of China. A country does NOT Self-Invade. In any case, RECOVER and UNIFIES. The Chinese territory of Tibet, was separated for 37 years, as a result of the Buddhist monks (Lamas), declared their autonomy from the Government of China, for not serving them, both due to the distances that separated them and later, due to the fall of the Emperor Henry Puyi (last Emperor of the Qing Dynasty). In reality, in 1913-1945, there was no gov’t and therefore they could not serve Tibet or anyone else. All China was at war! (Look. Only between 1913-1949: ‒Xinhai Revolution, with the failed coup of the new Empire. ‒Second Xinhai Revolution. ‒National protection war. ‒The internal struggles of the warlords in China. Then: ‒Union for Protection against Japan in World War II. [And here an incredible fact. Can U imagine Chinese people only armed with a sword doing a deep-night attack against well-equipped Japanese army? Well. Yes, that's the real event… ]. ‒Second Chinese Civil War. ‒Fight to take back Taiwan. The Island of Taiwan turned into a US Military Base). You saw it? All China was at war! Furthermore, the Gov’t of Tibet was not a political government, but a Religious one, led by a Dalai. You may think that Mao invaded Tibet to annex it to China in 1950. He did not. In the UN statutes it is established as "Casus Belli" or Reason for War: "The armed invasion of a sovereign country". You cannot attack anyone without waiting for the intervention of the UN, or total war from its allies. No one can be invaded without "Casus Belli" and that is a Fact. (Okay… Except with the US. We can. LOL). Furthermore, Tibet was never a member of the UN, nor is Taiwan a country recognized as a member of the UN. In conclusion, Tibet was, is and continues to be the territory of China. And more about "The Chinese Invasion of Tibet". Do you know why the United States did not grant political asylum to the Dalai Lama? Do you know why no country in the world granted him political asylum? Cuz the Dalai Lama is NOT a Ruler or Statesman. He is a religious leader. No one elected him and he does not represent anyone outside of his circle of Buddhist monks. A Dalai Lama is chosen by "Reincarnation". A Dalai Lama does not take the "Office" by inheriting it by Dynasty, nor is he elected by Vote. Now, Tibet was never a country. It was an autonomous territory, but it was part of China. So now you know: a country does not invade itself in any case. It is RECOVERED and UNIFIED. Finally: Tibet is not only landlocked but also isolated high above mountainous areas. If, IF not be part of China, Tibet would be one of the poorest and backward countries in the world, probably can only survive with International aids. Tibet has no farmland, manufacturing is not possible due to the mass transportation difficulty. Liberated by China is really a blessing for the Tibetans. Not only they don't have to be Lamas slaves no more, the Tibetans can also enjoy economic thrives. (Now read this and find out what Lama Buddhism is for Tibet: "Drepung Monastery was one of the largest landowners in the world, with its 185 manors, 25,000 serfs, 300 large pastures, and 16,000 shepherds. The wealth of the monasteries was in the hands of a small number of high-ranking lamas. Most ordinary monks lived modestly and had no direct access to great wealth. The Dalai Lama himself lived in abundance in the 14-story, 1,000-room Potala Palace. At the end of the 16th century, Altan Khan of the Mongol "Turnet Tribe" founded his own "Empire" and supported the religious movement of the Dalai Lama, thus Buddhism being the predominant religion among Mongols and local Tibetans. In the seventeenth century, the Jesuit Antonio de Andrade managed to cross the Himalayan mountains and penetrate Tibet, becoming the first European to do so. By then the Emperor of the Tibet Empire, Altan Khan, had died and the Government was De Facto, in the hands of the Dalai Lama. The Jesuit Antonio de Andrade documented the fact that the Drepung Monastery was one of the largest landowners in the world. But the wealth was NEVER distributed among the Tibetan people, who were always slaves… until 1937. This is true). It should be clear that: 1.- The Tibetan PEOPLE never fought for their Independence. Those who promoted an Independence of China were the Lamas Monks, cuz the people were then illiterate, superstitious, very poor, enslaved and ignorant. And 2.- Today, it is not the Tibetan people who are fighting now for their Independence from China. That is just Propaganda. The Tibetan people are Chinese and they are very proud and happy to belong to a great country. China is Tibet, and Tibet is China. This is Fact and not Propaganda.

@@salvadorvizcarra769 Do not be a blind supporter. Learn the true History. Tibet belongs to Tibetans, just like Xinjiang belongs to Uyghurs.
China is looser when it comes to freedom to its citizens. Seems as if people like you are worth experiencing Tiananmen square incidents!

@@trueravan U R Confused. Propaganda has Confused you. Tibet? In Tibet there is NO conflict. Tibetans currently live very proud of being and belonging to China. There is no conflict. Tibetans are happy and without problems. Now: Uyghurs? Okay. We (the US), we killed Muslims in Afghanistan. We killed Muslims in Iraq. We killed Muslims in Syria, Somalia, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, Libia, Irán… But we are very concerned about Human Right of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, even though we know that China does NOT kill the Muslims of Uyghur. Look: In 2008, prior to the Beijing Olympics, China was accused of violating the Human Rights of Muslim Uyghurs, which involved a worldwide Boycott to cancel their Olympics. Eight months before the Olympic inauguration, a United Nations (UN) commission was sent to investigate these alleged violations and found no evidence of the alleged arbitrariness against Uyghurs people. Therefore, the Olympics went smoothly. For the rest, Xinjiang is one of the 5 Autonomous Provinces that make up China, and Xinjiang it is NOT a Sovereign country. The "conflict" in Xinjiang is due to the separatist pretentions of ethnic groups in Turkey and Turkestan of Islamic court. And Finally: China does not enslave its people, nor any sovereign people. China is a Nation of Peace. China does NOT attack anyone. China does NOT invade anyone. China does NOT intervene in any neighboring or distant country. To this date, no Muslim country on this planet has PROTESTED against the "Abuses" that China submits to its Uyghur brothers. None. No one has protested: Not Algeria, not Benin, not Burkina Faso; Chad, Ivory Coast, Comoros, Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Libya, not Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, Guyana, Suriname, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brunei, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, India, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Albania, Bosnia or Herzegovina. None have protested against China. So don't listen to the Propaganda. Finally: The Events of Tiananmen: In China, 33 years ago the Country Project was debated among the most conservative Maoists against the followers of Deng Xiaoping, It was, during the Tiananmen Square Events (1989). Since then China put aside the Economic Model called “Communism” and now China has a Free Market Economic Model. This Model is just like the US Economic Model. This is why China is an economic power today. Now, 33 years ago the Internet did NOT exist. (Google started in 1999, and Wikipedia in 2001). There was only television news. People like me, we saw outraged a brutal repression by the Communist Regime. But, the television stations did not explain what the heck was “Communism”, nor did they explain what the heck happened in China. I hated China. What I saw on TV were selected scenes of uncontrollable riots and youth beaten and jailed, but in REALITY, all China was peaceful and calm. These "terrible" events only happened in Beijing, and not in all of Beijing, but only in Tiananmen Square, which ended when the battle tanks (Tanks!), appeared to dissolve everything by force. Do you remember the photo of the “Tank Man? Well, right there the protest of the young university followers of Deng Xiaoping ended. From that year on, China changed, but no one in the West noticed that change. Today the names of 14 dead young martyrs students are written in the Plaza. Thousands more students went to prison. It was the "Cost" of the change. So much was the change in China, that during the Beijin Olympics in 2008, no one took advantage of the Tiananmen Square Event for Propaganda. The US could not use it for Propaganda. China was different. And it's still different thanks to Tiananmen in 1989. Now… They shot theire own people? Yeah right. In the same way that we shot our own people in the Capitol storming, in Washington.

What? Was Tibet invaded by China?

See why: During the 50's, 60's and 70's there was never talk about the "Problems" that China had with Tibet, Taiwan Island, South China Sea, Inner Mongolia, Hong Komg, Xinjiang, etc. It is from the year 1989 that all these "Problems" appeared, since in this same year the economic growth of China began. However, it would not be "Strange" all this, if we knew the processes of the Propaganda. This Propaganda, which has managed to confuse the Western world, presenting a terrible China, but in fact, this China does NOT exist.
