You can often tell a lot about a person by the company that they associate with. Stephen A Smith being pals with Armstrong Williams in DC with Clarence Thomas and Dick Cheney told me everything about him years ago.
When you interview with these companies they tell you what they need from you and ask can you deliver if you say yes you are hired, if you say i'm my own man and i need freedom to express my opinion, their reply will be every subject has to be approved in the production meeting before they air, do you still want the job
What makes a Black person a "Revolutionary?" Lots of labels get thrown around without defining what's the meaning of these labels. People may be defining the labels differently. Context Matters!
Thank you. I was just thinking about if I should ask this. So if you work in a capitalistic society and you don't employ yourself or work in a cooperative you are not a revolutionary by default? Yeah because it sounds like black and white when it could not be that simple.
I saw that very episode Stephen A did. I also watched LeBatard. The crazy thing is I see where both are coming from. I understand what Stephen A was saying about LeBatard being there doing the same thing with Pappy and Stugotz. The state of what sports talk is going thru is what all of society is going thru. Our news channels, our politics everything is WWE because for whatever reason its what we as a society good or bad hunger for.
For one....Stephen A just wants to please his bosses. Which is a terrible commentary for a people who in some would say are collectively "behind" in ownership. So the answer is none.
Professor Karen, I speak with humility when I make this statement, Professor Karen, unless we have an continent separate from the other where all of us Black people can go and truly be Black is it right to place judgement on how other people navigate their Blackness? I don't need anymore martyrs' I don't need anyone to lose their jobs because they where proving just how Black they can be, I do need them to thrive and leave the door open for the next Black person instead of jumping off the cliff and that space he vacated will go to a White person and the wheel will keep rolling.
@@KarenHunterShow Professor Karen, thank you for thinking enough of my comment to respond. No I live in the US, where my ancestors bleed, where lynched and helped build this country without any reward or generational wealth. Professor Karen I am one of those negros that wears natural hair, I have even shaved my head and now I wear a bald, I am one of those negroes that White people feel sort of safe around but not safe enough to promote. So that is why I made that statement unless we can all leave this place and go someplace that has the infrastructure to house us all than I personally and humbly don't micro manage how other Black people navigate, unless those Black people are purposefully harming Black people in order to pledge alliance to Whiteness.

I admire and respect both takes but I have to disagree with the part about the responsibility and it may compromise you in that W-2 space (paraphrasing). I hold the premise to be true however not the application to S.A.S. He yells and raises his voice and looks at the camera and says “you know what y’all can kiss” to his critics that come from his community all while in that same W-2 space. Had he not addressed his own like that while on the Disney time card I’d agree however seeing that he takes the time and effort to do so to one group and not the others I’d have to say he has the space to speak his mind so when to his own he appears more brazen than addressing any other criticism from another group I have to speak to that glaring duality.
Can you though? Can you be a capitalist and feel that you owe anything to a collective, and work for that collective's advancement and benefit? Are the 2 compatible? We try to have our cake and eat it too. The means, purpose, and the ultimate result of capitalism is division, exploitation and destruction thru complete consumption. It sure is hard for us to make that choice, isn't it?
Great and interesting point, I would say from the past for entertainment and other people that has made wealth from capitalism and have provided funding to the advancement of Blavk Americans it is possible. But I would add to your great system that it depends where is a persons purpose in the movement.if in the forefront like great leaders from the past I they have the absolute to say and move with more freedom vice someone who is funding the movement via capitalism . I'm giving your video and subject a huge thumbs down. I'm not going to get loquacious about it, not after the last counterpoint I made involving Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless received the unnecessary venom that it did. I don't buy your headline, nor your premise. Stephen A. Smith speaks for himself, he doesn't speak for me nor Black America. I'm also not going to get into adjectives about anyone. Nobody here is worth that.
