Love your videos because its all demonstration with talking to explain. In alot of video's, the person just talks into camera the whole time describing things. I'm visual, so I like seeing how you do things. You do a GREAT JOB!!!!
Nikki, today I discovered you on RUclips. I've watched about 3 videos of yours so far and guessed that you were from a military background by the second video when you were cleaning things in your kitchen with a toothbrush. You verified it for me in this video. Now I understand your methods and why you keep things spotless as well as tidy. I grew up with my dad in the military and also try to keep things neat and clean, but with a spouse who is the opposite of me, it's tough to do. I keep trying. Wish me luck.
you are so classy with everything ,i live to watch your videos, over the years you have shared so many wonderful ideas, that i use daily......I Thank God for your approch of showning new product,a million of people can be doing the samething you doing, but your classy way of doing everything,we love you Mrs,Nikki
You have the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen. I showed my husband and he loves it as well. We both hope to have a kitchen like yours someday. I also love the way you organize your home. You have fabulous style. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Neat idea. My junk drawer is long and narrow and needs help. It currently holds pens, pencils, lighters, hammer, pliers, etc. I’m surprised at what fits in there!
Lovely way to organize good, ole household junk. A rubber band tip. I added years of use to my old straw and wood broom which had a wobbly handle and splayed straws. Unscrew the wooden handle then wrap a rubber band or two around the beveled threads and screw it back in. It is holding like a charm. To fix splayed straws just take a couple of hefty rubber bands bring them down from the handle side and put them over the straw base to tighten it up. Viola, 45-year-old broom is just like new. Love all your tips thank you so much.
Nikki, that's a fabulous idea for a"Junk Drawer "! In my kitchen, I only have 2 drawers. This would be the perfect answer for those items that are needed but at the same time needs to be concealed. I never would have thought to do this. Thank you so much for your creativity.
That has to be the prettiest "junk drawer" ever! Oh, and that gorgeous champagne bucket for your utensils... FABULOUS!!! You are Amazing, my dear Nikki!
Hi Nikki, using canisters is a great idea!! I believe using them instead of organizing my junk drawer would force me to decide what items are truly useful in my kitchen. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs
Thank you Nikki for sharing your tips and thoughts and ideals! We as women's can empower one other by sharing each other knowledge. Because no one woman have the key to everything there is to know in life! So keep up the good work and let the Lord continue on using you in a positive way!
I think this is a really good idea. It makes sense. A drawer closes & u forget so these canisters out in plain sight makes sure u can't go crazy wth too much stuff. It keeps it under control. Great tip!!!
You've done it again! I love how you've created a completely unique system that solves the problem most junk drawers can create. Love the white and turquoise, and how you labeled the bags. Hugs! Laura
Nikki, you have such a clean and classy home...just beautiful. I tell your mom all the time when I see her, how much I love watching your videos. keep up the good work.
I love this idea!!! My husband and I are building a new home and are downsizing and needing to purge!!! I was just laying in bed last night thinking I hate to give up a drawer for junk and here you are, my friend, giving me more good advice over coffee! I even have a white canister set! I can't wait to see every nook and cranny of your fabulous new kitchen! Thank you!!!
This has become my absolute favorite channel on RUclips. You are amazing. I'm about to move in to a bigger home. And it seems the the more space I have the more junk I have. Hopefully I can use some of your tips to organize. Thank you!
I love this idea.. I actually have a cupboard that I keep random stuff in the kitchen. Since I homeschool my 5 kiddos I have school supplies, workbooks, flashcards, occasionally a lesson planner/manual if Im planning at the time. My dining room kitchen (where we do our sit down work) is right in my kitchen so it makes more sense than going to the playroom or another room to get things. In that cupboard I keep all the random things that we need on a regular basis and needs to be easy to get to. I, also, keep the medicine lock box (mine are smaller, my oldest is only 9 and my baby is 18 months so meds keep up top, locked, where I don't have to worry about them), extra hair items and the like so it is super simple for me to take care of the every morning 'mom I forgot to do my hair'. I love seeing how things work for other people :) We all lead such different lives that its nice to see how each person makes things work. Gives me ideas of how I can make things easier and more organized in my home :)
Absolutely great suggestion to store things using decorative canisters. A great way to keep storage decorative yet still functional! Also keeping mini kits for first-aid and other small items is also genius.
I was just clearing out my junk drawer. I sat down for a minute to think about how I was going to organize it and this video popped up in my newsfeed... I wasn't looking for it, but I was clearly meant to see it. Thanks for sharing!
Nikki, you are brilliant. I am in love with all of your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing! We just remodeled our home and I'm immediately going to implement your 'under sink organization ' and this 'junk drawer' idea--oh! And my husband wants a planner, now...good thing I just watched your video for your husband's planner!! Ok, I've got to get back to watching! Thanks again and keep it up!
I was going to redo my junk drawer, so this is coming up at the perfect time. One thing I really like about this, other than it truly keeps the items that would be in a junk drawer down, is that it frees up another drawer in the kitchen. This is also a system that could be used in a drawer in the home office as well. Thanks so much for sharing.
What a great idea! You have the most creative and helpful ideas, Nikki. Thank you for sharing with all of us! Your channel is my favorite for home organization
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your spice organization and your "junk drawer" solution is beyond amazing!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and creative ideas! so happy I found your channel.
OH MY!!!!! That's is! I am getting rid of junk drawer in my kitchen! I never thought of doing something like that. That is awesome! I will have a empty drawer to use for something else. YAH!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this idea. I greatly appreciate it! Blessings and love to you
Nikki! I saw the words "junk drawer" and you instantly had my attention. I love your canisters and the idea is perfect for me. Thank you so much....Hugs & ♡, Cathryn
Hi Nikki! This is definitely thinking outside of the box. This is a brilliant idea. I love how you used the canisters for your junk drawer items. I have a junk drawer about the size of the one you place your spices in but I'm happy to say it is organized now. I have little organizers in it and it works well for us. I like the bags you found at Target. Also, what a neat idea with the rubber bands. Looking forward to your pantry video! Have a great weekend!
I just recently started using food prep gloves and your idea of storing them in a pretty canister on my counter is perfect! Thank you! I am loving all your videos. You show how to organize and have elegance all while keeping within budget.
I LOVE the idea of putting my "junk drawer" items in canisters!!!! I have a kitchen with only five small drawers and I hate having a drawer, even if it is a very well organized drawer, devoted to catch-all stuff.
Luv your ideas! Just wanted to share, Rachel Ray said to loosen any lid, turn it upside down and pound it once on a hard surface. This really works for whatever reason.
Amazing!! I work full time and am a mom of 4 and i go crazy most times trying to find things and just get things done in the middle of everything else going on and watching your videos you make me see how Things can be so much easier by using your methods thank you for your videos.
Love your channel because you are all about class. Im not big on dollar store containers maybe 1 or 2 but not as a system. You use really classy items and it's absolutely perfect for me. Thank you.
Like to rubber band tip! Also, you can also use you rubber gloves to open up jars too!! Place those puppies on and it gives such a great grip that no lid has a chance!! Love your home and organization ideas!!
Thank you so much!! My kitchen hunk drawer has been on my to do list for 3 days. I have avoided it for the very reason that I just had no place to store the extra things. Also I have had many canister sets over the years, and on average only used one out of 4 so I have not purchased any new ones in a long while. Now i will!! Also wanted to let you know your videos have really helped me up my organizing game in my home and all of those little areas I hadn't had ideas for before, have been getting taken care of one by one, thank to you!! 😉
I absolutely love your kitchen, I loved it when you did the reno video, but in this video there are more closeups of the little things like your handles and things like that, just awesome, love it all, you did a great job in choosing your materials and colors.
Omg Nikki you are so organized. There's just no word to describe your detailed organizarion. Would you believe I have the red canisters as you do from Macys Martha Stewart. I do have my cooking gloves in smaller ones. I have my Kcups in my large one and sugar in the other one. There are just beautiful.
Omg!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for this!!!!! I have a deep cute box that I've had forever on my side table. I love it for little stuff you need while hanging out on the couch. I've never been able to organize it! I've tried layers of baskets. Tall cups from the dollar tree to house items, but it never stayed organized. This is perfect!
I love the idea of a "faux junk drawer" :) It's so easy to just accumulate random things in a real drawer where there's more space. I love the canister idea and I can't wait to see your pantry tour video!
I love your creativity!!! I actually just started reorganizing my home and I just love, love, love all the great tips you give out. I like that you think even on the smallest details because those are the once that make the most mess if their not on the right place. I really enjoy watching your videos. 😊☺️. God bless!
oh man!! that is the greatest idea I have ever heard of! I must do that like right now!!! thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the zipper bag things in a cannister
What a great idea - I use the rubber band trick too - if you use a broccoli band, you only need the one because it's thick enough. Btw - I LOVE your tile back splash. It's just beautiful!
What a unique and beautiful system Nikki! I have a junk drawer that I access probably 20x a day so it definitely works for us but I will keep this in mind when helping friends and family! :)
OMGoodness, this is genius. I think I have about 3 drawers that are driving me crazy. I have so many utensils and I really need to get it organized. Love your ideas.
