"Anchors Aweigh" is a US marching song composed in 1906 by Charles Zimmerman and written by Alfred Miles in dedication to the US Navy during the Army-Navy football game, and in the following year was adopted as the US Navy's official march.
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. No matter if we agree or disagree, it is still important to document the songs of every ideology, country, and religion.
for veterans day a few months ago, our school allowed the band to play this (no singing though) As a french horn player, it was a challenge.
I am amazed a school today would allow patriotic music to be played.
I remember prayers on the field before every game. Now verboten.
@@Dannysouthernerit depends on what school you go to. I go to a private school (catholic) and we pray before every period and every event. We have military and veteran memorials from WW1 to Vietnam, and they actually fly the US flag in parking lot and front yard. I can’t believe other schools don’t do that, at least the memorials and flags.
