For anyone who thinks you need a studio or a ton of gear to take beautiful portraits, it just simply is not the case. Look a the work of David Armstrong; his portraits were very often with a window as the single light source and they are full of depth and narrative.
Jessica you are a life saver!! Making videos I didn't even think would exist, is so helpful as a beginner photographer. I just bought my very first camera, and you have convinced me to invest in the 50mm 1.4 lense - that should be coming in the mail any day now. Thank you so much for posting these videos!! ❤️
I’m a first time listener. I really enjoyed this low tech refreshing video of your photo tips. Where you and your model holding pink feathers I noticed the slightly blurred bird cage in the background. I couldn’t help but think photographing this stunning model with the feathers and the bird cage in the background might be nice touch. Thanks
Followed your channel for a long time, but this is the first video I've watched in a long time. "Scandal videos" simply don't do it for me, especially as your apparent shyness as a photographer gives me confidence, knowing the quality of what you produce as you try to overcome it.
Thanks for the ideas, Jessica! Definitely a cool thing to do when outdoor shoots aren't able due to the change in weather or other or perhaps simply to practice.
This video turned out so great! I loved all the props😍 Towards the end i though of you making a sketch type video where you direct a model as mr. Jay would on ANTM and in the end both you and model would give you feedback on how that compares to a normal photoshoot. I believe with your sense of humor it would turn out very funny 😂
We appreciate Jessica for all of her hard work and consistency. Seems like she's one of the best at giving photography tips.
yesss and always so wholesome and full of love - she's amazing!
Didn't expect much from the yarn, but it turned out to be my favorite prop. The pictures were so beautiful! Jessica really is an artist
I feel like these ideas really helped me think of other ways to expand or create my own ideas with tools around my house
Omg the feather photos are super pretty -they all are!
Loved this shoot and the depth in the photos with the string are really beautiful. When I think "soft" I think safe.
I love how Jessica treats us like children "by the way, kids: fire is hot, be careful"
I always thought she gave off the strongest 'mom friend' vibes of any youtuber I've ever seen 😂
Yessss, this is the video that I didn't even know I needed 😍 thank you, Jessica!!!
I love when Jessica does this videos
Been looking for some at home photoshoot Inspo lately! Incredible timing!
The string and flame looked amazing! would love to see another studio shoot with more props :)
The tones on the pics is just amazing. Great work and great inspo!
The feathers shots were my favorite
Same!
When I think the word soft what come to mind is fresh cooked cake from the oven soft and fluffy light (delish)!😊
Wow she’s gorgeous! This was awesome! Thanks for the tips !
I would love if you added the settings you used. I always struggle with the settings. Beautiful photos as always.

Thanks Jessica for all the ideas. I have a few dog toys around the house that will now double my photo props.

Legend!
Can you do a review on supermodel me??😊 it just came on Netflix
Super helpful
With a 1.4 aperture, what iso are you using for the lamp and lighter?
Yay
🥰
I like the lighter but I feel like there should be something to light, more of a story telling device than a trick shot
Jessica I have big problems finding clients. Can you help me to find them ? What can I do to attract clients ?
