Unbelievably as it may sound what I'm about to say, it's still true: I am against violence. But I'm pro Jackie Chan. When this guy is violent you can't really blame him or take him seriously because he's cutely violent. I mean, even though his fight scenes are realistic and spectacular as fuck, there's also something relaxing (even comedic) about them, and that is a JC trademark. As such, you can't really be against the violence promoted by JC, nor can you take him seriously even though you know he's a good fighter. THIS is why I like him and why he's been my favorite actor since I was a young kid in the 80s. JC's biggest desire and life goal has always been to be remembered for his movies, even after he dies. Well, I will remember him for as long as I live, even though he's still alive (and God helps that he'll stay like this for another 100 years if he wishes to). For me, he's not only a great actor, but a great personality as well. He's won me over decades ago and I don't regret shit. I have grown up with the best of the best (Jackie Chan, the music of the 80s, and AC Milan beating the crap out of everyone in early to mid 2000s). I have good memories...
LoL. I love how Benny flicks his suspenders to style on Jackie. Where I'm from there is an expression that says ''se pèter les bretelles''. It's hard to translate but that flick is exactly the move it refers to. You say this when someone praises himself too much. When someone is too cocky. I really thought it was just an expression. But Benny here does it. Literraly.
@@liberals_destroy_everythin2497 The kick was meant to go by the candles and make them flicker, they weren't expecting it to *snuff them out*, because that's obviously insane, but it happened so it got left in. Jackie actually had a lot of trouble fighting Benny.people forget Benny beat foreign fighters on their own turf.and he was a legendary kickboxer.even Chuck Norris said Benny was the world's best( he's underrated).
Yes i can see some real blows landing.
Love it when he blows out the candles with his kick. My Father's favourite kung fu movie scene.
I don't think I've seen anything yet, but this is the most intense Jackie Chan fight I've seen so far.
A luta final dele no filme O Mestre Invencível, também foi muito intensa.
@@aguiadourada1000 Qual é o título do filme em inglês?
@@TomEyeTheSFMguy, The Legend of Drunken Master.
@@aguiadourada1000 Thank you.
1:30 If anyone doesn't know, here Jackie actually got punched in the face. He doesn't play, he really hurts.
Love when Jackie gets relaxed and is like "1, 2, 3, 4...1,2,3,4" while stretching. Badass
Benny the Jet is a great fighter period , he’s a real fighter , tough mentally , physically and skills second to none!
one of the most insane and underrated moves in action film, was when Jackie dodged a kick from Benny by falling back on that concrete slab and kipping up INSTANTLY. So fast and insane!!!
1:20... that reverse round house kick was fast enough to turn off the candles... holy shit these moves are legit!
House of Mods 210 I was gonna say the same thing.💪😎
Your time stamp is literally 2 seconds off. Misses the entire scene. 1:18
@@streetmagik3105 close enough doucheboy🤷♂️
@@houseofmods2104 "close enough"
Sure, if you're watching in reverse? Good try though.
@@streetmagik3105 😅
There's more action and comedy in this scene than in all the MCU.
@0:23 A simple spin kick but yet looks so awesome, not sure if was the timing or just the way it was done but I always rewound this over and over...Benny The Jet, what an extremely underrated legend.
I loved how he always showed how being hit and hitting hurt because it was real enough to cause a bit of pain.
well , i saw the other day he has 9 black belts in those arts , so he is a fighter to take into account .
I wish we could have got one more scene out of them while they were in their prime.
Dragon's Forever 💪
nothing against modern mma but it was so cool to see things like this back then. it made martial arts like magic a person can learn. of course reality now is more effective but simply not as much fun to imagine. growing up really blows at certain times.
Man I miss the martial arts sound effects! That's wat made these movies so awesome. I live for these sounds! 😂🤣😅🤣😂
One of the best fight scenes of all time.
I saw a bkstage interview w jackie chan n he said that they were both hitting foreal lol
Scott adkins has a new youtube series where he interviews western martial arts legends, The Art of Action. He just interviewed benny and they talked about this scene. The slowed down punch when they are on the carpet/rug as benny was falling was real lol
I was noticing that some of their hits were actually connecting. That's crazy! Normally in old films you can tell right away that they're not going at it for real
Think i remember i saw behind da scene n in the interview i think i heard JC that wanted to make it real a possible lol he to mr Benny U to punch him foreal lol
This fight scene looked like a sparring session love these guys the real deal grew up watching Jackie Chan 1 of a kind and took alot of risks doing his own very dangerous stunts and thanks God he's still with us💯💯💯💯💪💪👊👊👊👊
2:58 my favourite kick in this whole fight scene
Same that and Benny puttin out the candle with his 1:18
Benny the Jet inspired the Ken character of Street Fighter ... perfect!
I think Benny is not the inspiration of Ken in Street Fighter. And where is the proof?
@@joeofmacabre07 is Joe Lewis
Richard Norton
Ken was inspired by legendary US Full-Contact Karate champ Joe Lewis, there's a famous picture from Joe,where he's wearing a red Karate Gi just like Ken. Here: pbs.twimg.com/media/CWcJ8GCW4AAEOdt.jpg
Ryu is inspired by Mas Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate, who also trained on a mountain and then journeyed all over Japan and challenged the greatest Karate masters of Japan to fights.
Deejay is inspired by Billy Blanks, who is a well-known Martial Arts master, action movie star and creator of the ''Tae-Bo" fitness program.
Sagat is inspired by Sagat Petchyindee, legendary Muay Thai champion. He's running a Muay Thai academy nowadays in Thailand.
And of course Fei Long is inspired by Bruce Lee and Balrog from Mike Tyson.
When my birthday comes around, I'm going to try to blow out the candles just like Benny. Wish me luck. 1:18
You can do it ,
Focus , grasshopper ,lol
It was dope
Lol make sure you don't burn the house down! (Just jokes!!!)
Be carefull, your's wife got kick 😂🤣

This is Ken of Street Fighter VS Cheng Fu of Double Dragon.. Amazing 👍
Not a single action hero can move like this nowadays not even Donnie Yen.
I agree. That s why the 80s action films are the best.
Yuen biao can lol
What about jet li?
Never seen this movie but I saw this scene a lot of times. Simply wonderful
Two Legends ! WIOW spectacular skills
I like this scene so much... One of the Best ever... The kick turning off the candles is remarkable... Awesome...
Two of the greatest fight ever filmed awwww the 80s 🤘🏼😎

little known fact: Benny "The Jet" Urquidez taught John Cusack for 20 years.
DENNIS RARDIN .... also David Lee Roth. One of my siblings trained with Benny back in the ‘70s. I believe the Urquidez Dojo was in Van•Nuys at the time. He’s a true pioneer
Nice. Wheels on Meals. One of the most underrated movies in it's genre. Awesomely choreographed fight scenes! 👍👍
When Jackie goes “Hi-Chew” and points are his feet! !????? That the dopest thing ever
I didn't get it,what do you mean
@2:55
The hit sound effects are gold so is the choreography.
First fight is funny then 2nd is serious. Lol. Still great fights from 2 legends
the best 1vs1 fight scene with no special effects I've seen since Bruce Lee..
The Foley guys REALLY had a time with this one.
@ 00:22 that taking off the jacket round house kick was smooth
Beautiful fight choreography. It actually demonstrates pre-ufc MMA techniques.
The first time I look Benny the most things Who scared me is his eye
I love the part when Benny's kick blows out the candles. Chan is a real bad ass but Benny was the real deal.
In a funny way but with real craft...like the Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris legendary fight
it's good that they made Benny basically kick the shit out of Jackie cuz The Jet is a real fighter and that's probably what would actually happen.
thank Bruce Lee for that: prior to him, martial artists in films were actors. Lee was the one to change the industry standard.
I know both of these legends and let me tell you guys this fight was as full contact as it was possible and Benny The Jet who is my Sensei was undefeated for over quarter century and voted by prestigious Black Belt Magazine as the best Full Contact fighter of all time before UFC... 63 - 0 with 57 KO’s ! JT aka Vega from Street Fighter ⚡️
Wish he had a school here in Ga. Ha! Benny was in Road House during the scene when big foot ran over the cars. Also he was the fight choreographer in credits. 👍😎🎸
He lost once to a guy named Prayut Sitiboonlert. But because he lost, his teem didn't accept the fight as official so he could keep his clean sheet.
Police Story, Project A, Wheels on Meals, Armor of God.
Damn, that was a great era.
Amazing
What I said
Benny waists no movement on his blocking or offensive moves. Its quick and with economy of movement. Of course, Jackie delivers excellence as well.
I got to see The Jet fight
3-4 times growing up in the 70’s @ The LA Forum & The Olympic. A true pioneer & really the first American to incorporate Thai techniques
My man Benny!
Two awesome practitioners!
2:38 reminds me of Bruce Lee's fighting style
That was hard for benny to loose haha, damn epic fight. Even Jackie look tall beside him.
Literraly.
1:19 ...., dedicated to Bruce Lee, haha.
What is awesome is that they move full speed and that theyre in full frame allmost the entirety of the fight and they do long full combos!
Never get board of these fight scenes by Jackie killer choreography 👊👊
the jet pounding on Jackie, making him sweat and dig into his magic bag of tricks, superb
The sound effects are so over the top they're hysterical! The punches sound like two pieces of granite being slammed together!
Holy cow i never noticed before at 1:19 Benny's kick blows out the candles lol
holy mackerel!
@@liberals_destroy_everythin2497 The kick was meant to go by the candles and make them flicker, they weren't expecting it to *snuff them out*, because that's obviously insane, but it happened so it got left in. They didn't get a whole lot of extra takes with this one since Jackie eventually told Benny to hit him for real since he was totally unused to working in front of the camera, so he was seriously roughed up by the end!
I know this is off subject but that new FARCRY6 trailer is looking damn good!!
two of the few good fight scenes where Jackie is seen all bruised and bloodied from his opponents strikes.
Yeah both are extreme fighter but finally Jackie wins🔥
Damn the blocking parrying sound effects and the sounds of the limbs moving are awesome! Did they remaster and add new audio to this version?
YES,in the documentary movie titled THE BEST OF MARTIAL ARTS is a different, better fitting soundtrack. It is somewhere on RUclips.
In the first Jackie fights like he's crazy. In the 2nd,it's like he's desperately struggling to come up with something creative/ unexpected enough, fighting someone that's his equal, to win. Improv
One of the greatest fight scenes of all time play weak and hurt then attack when he comes in...
The candles going out was dope
Arguably one of the best martial arts fight you'll ever see. Jackie and Bennie the Jet put on a show that probably was painful to shoot but you couldn't ask for more.
0:47 the mario bros theme.
OH NO!!! :"D HAHAHAHA!
Why didn'i catch that?
i lost all my sides
this movie came out in 1984 before super mario 1985.
My god!!!
Jackie was always hardcore and still is now.He can take all kinds of beatings like a man and still manage to fight back he's bad ass asf I'll give em that.
Never seen this before somehow... this is amazing
Did that dude really just snuff out like 4 candles with one leg kick??? Great scene!!!
I dont believe Benny got enough credit. The best fighter I have ever seen. I don't think Bruce Lee could have beat him.
