SAMMO HUNG is so UNDERRATED! After BRUCE LEE, he is the GREATEST! Not only AS a Martial Artist! Also as Action Director and Director! Even RICHARD NORTON said: "Sammo and Jackie are the THE MOST SMARTEST GUYS, whose ever worked with him"! THERE WILL NEVER B ANOTHER BRUCE LEE! BUT THERE WILL ALSO NEVER B ANOTHER "3 DRAGONS" LIKE HUNG, CHAN AND BIAO!!!🐲🐲🐲👌🏼❤️ SO BADASS💪🏼🙏🏼
why does Yuen Biao always have the most spectacular kicks? In this series alone (Lucky Stars) he's had 2 or 3 very spectacular kicks, and another one in Dragons Forever if memory serves me well. Some of his kicks are so clean and spectacular (and powerful, too if you were to be on the receiving end), it's almost like he's the protagonist of these movies :)
Not only kicks! His flicks are AMAZING in "DRAGONS FORVER"! All of the 3 DRAGONS are specially in their OWN WAYS! Jackie is probabely the ALLROUNDER! Sammo has the most experience as Actor, Action Director etc! And I think as he has the most KNOWLEDGES in different Martial Arts styles - AS THE ELDEST! And Yuen is absolutely talented ATLETHIC!
Twinkle twinkle Lucky stars is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and STUNNINGLY AMAZING Starring the legendary Sammo Hung Kim Bo, Yuen Biao and Jackie Chan Way much better than the so called American imitation and knockoffs
yeah, that would be great. A set of the whole series. I know nothing about the rights to these and whether putting them out is an issue because of the rights or if it's just a matter of negotiating with Fortune Star, getting remasters etc. I have heard from people who put out blu rays that Fortune Star is difficult to work with, but I don't know anything about this first hand. Anyway, yeah, this comment is too long, but I totally agree. Winners & Sinners and this one especially are such great movies. Blu rays of these movies do exist, I think in Hong Kong and Japan. You can import Hong Kong versions via YesAsia or eBay, but I would much rather have a label like 88 Films or Eureka or even Arrow or Criterion put the effort into a really good release.
omg, I clicked on this video and realized I haven't watched a HK flick for like 20 years! Whoa, and it brought back memories of Yasuaki Kurata in other films. Then there's Richard Norton who I wish his abilities would've transferred over to an American audience. And the 3 brothers are always fun to watch. The Lucky Stars series was fun as well. The 80's and 90's were an amazing time for HK cinema. I like your channel btw. When did you get into HK films?
Agreed on all of this! Glad you like the channel. I've been watching HK movies since the mid 90s, first Jackie Chan, then Wong Kar Wai, John Woo and beyond. Although I would say I didn't get heavily into HK cinema and really invest in watching as much as possible until maybe 12 or so years ago. Before that it was just part of my general interest in cinema.
not sure why this got recommended by the algorithm, but what amazing fights. Also, was 5:13 perhaps the inspiration for a certain young author at the time who went on to create his novel series about a certain dark elf and who was notable for his solution to the double thrust low?
When Norton and Chung Fat (the moustached bad guy) first came into the room - the scene isn’t included in this clip - I was always amused at how much they looked like Hall & Oates!
@@hkcinemasociety -- It's like a bonus laugh that the filmmakers may or may not have intended (although each new time I see it I'm more convinced they did it on purpose). I'm surprised someone hasn't synced up a snippet of one of their songs to their entrance scene.
I liked the old SFXs it very sounds as I still missed the very old versions because can't forget what and how it was before it was re-edited into new versions as I just learned 2010 they made and used new SFXs due to fighting sound waves and weapons too and others

He had sustained an injury while filming a stunt. His character was supposed to fight Richard Norton’s. They had to change the plan (and let Sammo’s character take his place) as a result of his injury.

Fighting sequences, actors and acting are simply outstanding!!!

These Fights Are Amazing.
When sammo double wacked the guy in the head with tennis rackets was the real deal lol

All of Sammos Movies are great, and Richard Norton was Amazing in this. I've always liked both of them.
One of my favourite films as a kid!! These guys are legends
Hopefully to watching this Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao and I can see Michelle Yeoh. and there's Richard Norton and there's Dick Wei.
Chung Fat was there too
Getting slapped by two tennisrackets surely hurts.
Awesome movie
I really wish either 88films or Eureka Entertainment could remaster and release this on Bluray along with My Lucky Stars, & Winners and Sinners.

Presumably you folks have seen the announcement of the new 3-film collection? 👍
@@Coolestmovies Yes indeed! It's a Christmas miracle. Already got my copy preordered. Cant wait!
This movie and dragons forever is when all 3 reached their prime and wanted to show how they perfected their own styles
So Sammo fights Kurata Yasuaki with Tennis rackets?
He does indeed
That hurt him a lot especially hitting him in both ears.
Sammo is great with any weapon lol.. Jackie was really tired and hurt at this time in real life after jus finishing his masterpiece police story.
Eres la luz que iluminas mis días sammo execelente noche mi amigo 🤗😘

Richard Norton is a fantastic martial artist!
