Lovely example never owned one brilliant cars and ahead of their time when launched with hatch back and five gears. Had two Allegos both E series one 1500 one 1750 never, ever let me down even though both vehicles lived outside. Used to go on holiday for two weeks and both would start first time after being idle for all that time. Only got rid of the last one as I got a company car I was heartbroken but there you go! I would be more than happy to own any E series car today more than adequate for a daily driver. Hope you enjoy your car looked in nice condition. Did it pass the not. All the best.
@@3500P5 SU carburetors will provide quicker starts when choked. Prolonged cranking will cause sufficient heat generation to fire off the mixture. Choking provides a richer mixture instantly that requires less heat to ignite.

Rod change and about the earliest 1750 in existence I think. Martin is restoring a cable change at present
