The fact that the Royal Dutch Air Force has chosen the C-390 to replace its current C-130 Hercules fleet is an answer to the question in the title of this video, I guess.
The C-130 still has an advantage in overall range and that it has 4 engines versus 2. Given those facts, the fact that the Netherlands, Hungary, and Austria chose the KC-390 is only a partial answer to the title of this video. Like the video says, it still depends upon the mission requirements to decide which plane is the best! I still congratulate Embraer for a remarkable achievement, though.
But the KC-390 has more range, better fuel economy and is faster. Having fewer engines is better, it means it is more economical in parts, since you have 2 fewer engines to keep adequate with spare parts, not to mention that the fuel would only need to supply 2, not 4 @@citylimits8927
The big move of the KC390 over the C130 is that it uses commercial aviation equipment that has spare parts all over the world! The C130 has technical assistance all over the world, but only with specific and original parts and this causes a lot of problems if these are missing!
The project initiative came from the Brazilian government. They approached Embraer and asked them to build the plane and said, we are paying it! And so they did! Brazil do have several Hercules....It was time.
Could you explain what kind of support Chile and Colombia gave to this project, please? I knew that some components were produced by Argentina, Portugal and Czech Republic.
I can’t see how it would compete with the C17? Not too sure it would replace the C130J as it has proven track record, and many airforces are still acquiring them. Unlike the RAF who got rid of their fleet.
The C 130-J is a good aircraft, but not the best. In addition to its platform being old, it's more expensive, consumes more fuel, has a higher maintenance cost, is slower, noisier, less technological, carries less and smaller loads... Acquiring a C-130 for in-flight refueling requires an aircraft specifically for this role, while the C-390 is modular and simply attaches the kits you want for the different missions.
What a beatifull edition!!! Congrats!! More than Excelent!
Thank you ♥️

Amazing aircraft. The best in its category. Excelent video.
South Korea!!! :)
Kc390 The best on his category❤
The best on its category, as every aircraft made by Embraer
The C-130J is already in its obsolescence and many Air Forces are switching to the Airbus A400M and the Embraer C-390 Millennium.
C130j suffers from severe technical problems especially the pressurization system.
This is not true!
C-390..... best in it´s class !!!!
Embraer aviation is getting noticed, and if they can make the price low, they will sell a thousand of these. It is a damn good cargo plane.
Embraer is competence and technology
11:15 actually the C130J is the same price and has lower cargo capability then the C390 (20ton x 26ton)
c130j is more expensive
O Hércules já cumpriu sua missão agora sou eu
Não há concorrência para esse avião no mercado dele
Polônia, Coreia do Sul e Índia também querem o Kc-390
Looks like a good plane

Belo pássaro!
🇧🇷 Simplesmente Espetacular!!
I Hope They Enlarge The Aircraft And Make C-490
faltou uma info o peso politico americano joga contra o c130j e tambem faltou acrescentar austria e korea do sul que ja compraram mais avioes
O peso político americano (lobby), joga contra o C-390, não?

Is the best.
Are they going to send the C390s to McGuire Air Force Base in NJ?

The change has begun!
What a lot of hype-bs!
I still think the old c-130J SH is better though
And you are?
Nobody in particular. I’m just a c-130J enthusiast
@@frostzerokill2525 "I just like it better because I`m a fan of the old plane and not because it is better!" ==== There I fixed your comment for you.
