  • This is Andreas Heimann of Morelo who takes us on a tour of the Morelo Empire, in this case on an Iveco base.
    I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.
    In my RUclips channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from the cheapest camper vans to the most expensive luxury liners, from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Wingamm, La Strada, Frankia, Wavecamper, Maurer, Dreamer, Itineo, Rapido, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Action Mobil, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Robeta, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Karmann Mobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Bocklet, Woelcke,Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg, Murvi, Bliss, Mitsubishi, Woelcke, Reisemobile Bürow, Holzmobil, Giotti Line, Florium, Fleurette, Ahorn, Westfalia, Space Camper, Orange Work, Concorde, Womondo, Protec, Auto Sleeper, Dethleffs, Ilusion, Gehocab, Malibu, Pilote, Wild Ax, Vantage, Bresler, Tom's Fahrzeugtechnik, Morelo and others.
    I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
    I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
    I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

    Andreas Heimann did an excellent tour. He didn't mention the bed over the cab, maybe he knows that to mention such a thing courts great danger! You could go to Paris, Rome or London in that but I wouldn't fancy navigating those cities with it. I think it is too big for me which is just as well as it is out of my price range by, well, a lot.

    I also sat in this exact same model when I visited the Morelo and Concorde factory last summer vacation. Very nice vehicle except the iveco daily chassis which I don’t understand. If you compare it to the Concorde Liner Plus, that one comes as standard on a Iveco Eurocargo chassis.

    Why are they building it at the maximum stress level on a small iveco daily chassis and not on a much more suitable Iveco cargo light truck chassis or even better a man med truck chassis ? Considering the price of these bloody things!! I always wondered why the Wheels on morello's looked so tiny! It's built on a van chassis. Ludicrous. Now that I've had my rant. Great video always love it when this guy does a tour on camera. Thanks Alan

      Guy Incognito it looks a little bit absurd on those wheels and that lightweight chassis and seems like a poor decision considering it's maxing out for the weight limit on an iveco daily chassis . all the other big motorhome manufacturers like vario Mobil and volkner used truck chassis for their big vans. My 40 year old Hymer 900 which weighs in at 7.5 tons is on a Mercedes 813 medium truck chassis and I can't imagine anything lighter be able to cope with it

      @lorcro2000 5 лет назад +1

      The Daily chassis is 7.5 tons max when fully reinforced by Iveco. If they need only 7.5 tons then why not use it? This also allows them to use a smaller engine that has great fuel consumption. I really like this one. Of course, I will never be able to afford one but I like the touches and the thoughtfulness of it, in addition to the vast luxury.

      its the wrong chassis for a motorhome of this size . far too narrow for the massive habitation area on top and at the limits of its capacity, which is never a good thing (and the tiny wheels look absurd !! " also don't think it has air brake system ? so i wouldn't take this down steep hills fully loaded with much confidence. not sure MPG is the customers first concern when they're buying a 350 K motorhome ?

      @@justinlinnane8043 ... based only on your guesswork and suppositions... I have a feeling that Morelo actually did their research and chose this chassis anyway.

      Based on years of experience and a wide knowledge of trucks and vans actually Croft ! you seem determind to exclude any possibilty that a max 7.5 ton chassis might not be the best choice for a very large motorhome that can easily be overloaded by inexperienced owners . not sure why ? Morello have made a cost cutting decision . not a brilliant move on a 350K motorhome and not one followed by most serious competitors in this sector

    It is ourageous thst Morelo still sells this model. The payload doesn't ad up. The real numbers are: 6300 kg dry weight. If you ad 380 l (it's actually not 450 as presented here) plus up to 200 l of diesel plus at least 70 l of propane (120 l optional) you are already at about 7.000 kg (7,5 tons is the maximum!!!). And that's without ANY options such as an air conditioner or a leveling system or even a TV!!!!. This model is a scam!! You will easily overload it and (if caught bei the police) even lose your driving license! And all that at over 350.000 €!!!! Anyone who is interested in a big 7,5t Morelo should go with another model such as the Morelo Palce 90 or 93 series. Same size, same luxury, same otions but no issues with the payload. I seriously warn everybody. I have nothing against Morelo, they make great RVs and I love them but this model really doesn't work! Total waste of (huge amounts of) money. Alan, please adress that!! Look up the payload and configurate this model with a realisticly luxurious trim level!! If you ad the weight of the water (Morelo only calculates 100 liters!!!) and the diesel and every option that one simply expects in such a vehicle, you simply CANNOT buy this thing!! And this is just the Empire 90 series. They have the 92 series aswell which is even bigger and therfor has even more payload issues!!! Super dangerous!

      That’s why most of the buyers will take it with the Mercedes truck chassis, i think that it is the Atego model chassis. But still it is very strange that they still sell it. Maybe there’s is a reason why they are still able and allowed to sell this model with such tiny payload? Although I can’t think of any reason!

    “Blokes” is a vey UK term and low class. Be careful in your use of English. Don’t say “blokes” - say “men”. Great video otherwise.
