The greatest priest is my guildmate Escobar. He can heal the raid while eating and watching queen's gambit at the same time. Respect to Escobar. (Edited)
In Legion, Velen created a light barrier that instantly burned off demons that touched it in order to protect his peoples. He maintained it for a long moment. Velen definitely is a power house.
Tyrande is a night elf priest still. In war of the ancient books all the priestess of Elune use healing and damage “magic” but all fight with weapons like warriors as well.
And in HoTS terms, make them invulnerable. Kinda sad that Sylvanas forgot that she could Wailing Arrow to silence him but I'll chalk it up to hubris for turning the team fight on her own.
You forgot about Velen's light power on Light's heart(Xe'ra) mission back on Legion. He literally turned the incoming demons to his light barrier into ash. To protect his people.
Tyrande was an incredibly capable fighter on her own all the way back 10.000 years ago during the War of the Ancients. And now that immeasurable experience is paired with the still unknown powers of the Night Warrior. I just hope she doesn't turn mad and we have to kill her
If u follow the night fae story line, you'll see they're ( Shandris and Ysera ) trying to find a way to defuse her. There's another night warrior there helping them.

He's the most knowledgeable of all. how is he not the absolute first? Calia is higher than Benedictus and alonsus ? She has zero feats. This is a notable list more than strongest list Tyrande is uber powerful becasue of the night warrior, we don't even know if this is a priest power
Tyrande's power comes from Elune - Elune empowers normal *priestesses* who serve her with her own powers, so by the fact Elune empowers others to become priests the Night Warrior power is a sub-class of a priest.
I'd say her resurrection by itself and connection to the light is quite a feat. In regards to Tyrande the form is called the 'night warrior' but it is in fact granted by Elune and she is what if not the priestess of Elune.

In terms of healing, Velen probably Tyrande has much more destructive powers Also, I don't think you guys are giving enough much credit for Tyrande, she literally cleansed a corruption from the Old Gods using the light of Elune. Don't forget that one time where she's immune to the corruption of the nightmare. And also, as a priestess of the moon, she's also trained not just by the arts of healing using the moonlight, but also trained in melee combat, using weapons such as moonglaives, sword and now a glaive.
She also was... Xavius'(?) captive kn the war of the Ancients and I think Sargeras himself tried to vreak her through the portal but Elune kept her safe and sound and even fed and hydrated for days without break
It was Archimonde and Mannoroth. IIRC, Archimonde was blasting Tyrande for DAYS but since Elune is protecting her, there's nothing Archimonde could do to her, so he pretty much ignored her and got bored. Also yes, I think she was in the emerald nightmare when Elune helped her get hydrated

I still believe that Velen is stronger as a priest than Tyrande. Just because she became and avatar of Elune doesn't really make her better priest, but rather a weapon of vengeance... ish... It will be interesting to see when blizz will make some spec changes on the priests and make them the option to be light dps... Like, lore wise there are so many priests in the game fight with holy powers and they ARE NOT paladins and still we have 2 heal specs for 1 class. I believe it will be nice to see a holy range dps with a bow even or smt like Tyrande and than to see Starfall to go to its rightful class :D
Tyrande is one of the most powerful mortal characters that includes most of the classes. I would like to see how you would compare her with Illidan and Sylvanas tho

@@Algeront I know Sylvanas got her power from the Jailer, that is who I was speaking of. The Jailer's power has been described as Titan++ by Ion Hazikostas in an interview. If Elune is a First One than Tyrande might be more powerful, but it's really hard to say for sure.
Priestesses of Elune have always been depicted more as Hunter/Priest hybrid class and Tyrande especially lived up to it. Night Warrior's ritual just turned her into a melee.
Calia did not START the rebellion. She saw that some were going to defect and held the line while they did to be mowed down by Sylvanas which was technically permitted as Calia was not a member of the Alliance.
Something interesting to note is that Calia and Faol are both specifically Discipline priests, as both have backgrounds and powers related to both the light and darkness. A case could also be made for Talanji since she mainly uses light magic but also has Bwonsamdi's powers of death now. Also, Velen is almost certainly "stronger" than Tyrande.
Kalia dis not herself started the rebellion, members of the Council literally begged her to aid them and she tried to sheltered those who wanted to leave the Forsakens. What's the point of free will if you can't choose whom you stand with?Forshaken are hypocrites.
Sylvanas is a hypocrite. She doesn't want the Forsaken to be happy just because she can't be happy. She's a petulant child who threw a tantrum because she got her feelings hurt.
Vol'jin actually remarks on how he feels something made him drop his guard, that the Felguard that struck him some how slipped past his glaive. So, it's not just overwhelming forces but possibly some form of manipulation from an outside force as well. Possibly Mueh'zala to help with him then naming Sylvanas Warchief.
Wow, I wasnt expecting Alonsus Faol as low as 8, i was thinking about 4 or 5 given that He is the founder of almost everything in Priesthood in alliance side (excluding the prophet himself).
Considering he was Bwonsamdi's first favorite / chosen, this is definitely a well deserved place. You can read many strong deeds in Shadow of the War and during the fight with the ancient enemy - Zalazane, where we can also see Bwonsamdi's support.

It was only after some started to walk back to Stromgarde with their loved ones and the wind blew her hood off therefore allowing her to be recognized that she told them to run for the keep. I think had her hood not been blown off she would have been more passive until she seen the Dark Rangers descending upon the field. So many people seem to twist this into her just straight up fueling the rebellion, but she didn't plan on having the Forsaken rebel or anything. It was sort of a panicked reaction why she started to help them flee.
I haven’t played wow since WoD due to life and just kinda not having time for it. However I do still love the more and the changing story lines. You’re content dives deep without rambling and keeps me up to date on shit

The reason Calia is so different from other undead is because it was the combined powers of an undead priest, a living priest and a Naaru. I don't know if it's specifically just the Naaru as even S'aara mentions that she is the creation of an undead priest and a human priest if I remember correctly. Something to that effect.
Some of this positioning isn't great. I'd swap in Natalie Seline, the leader of the Cult of Forgotten Shadow, into the list and bump Moira off. Moira doesn't seem that powerful, the only demonstration of her power we have in game is her being a minion of a dungeon boss in Classic. She probably had her position in the order hall because she was a good political leader and organizer. Calia is similar, I'd say; I'd expect she got a little more powerful after being reanimated by the Light, but I still imagine Alonsus would be more powerful than her if it came down to it. While I'm talking about him, Alonsus never 'joined the Forsaken', he's considered one technically sometimes only in that he's a free-willed undead.
I kinda feel it’s not really easy to measure who is the most powerful priests. Especially since some of the races do not take their powers from the light or the void but from other sources (Loa’s, Elune, the earth mother/the sun, etc.) which are not necessarily comparable in terms of power. We might play all priests following the light with all races in game but in the lore, some races have very different kinds of priests (examples the priestess of Elune are more of a warrior priestess who can heal and damage with the power of Elune) of course we can compare priests like Anduin, Calia, Withemane and Velen cause they are all following the light (when they were priests that is, not when a coked up death knight) but Putting Talanji, Vol’jin and Tyrande isn’t fair for either the light priests and/or the other priests. Like Velen is the most powerful priest of the light but lacks the destructive powers Talanji, Tyrande and Vol’jin has.
Also I think we forget how she was the only leader who killed the fallen Kyrian who were sent to take her(while Thrall, Baine , Anduin and Jaina were taken). Shandris was telling us and Genn that it happened. She also was the only one(besides us) who was able to get away from the maw
I’m waiting for you to say the players character in one of these videos. “ the player has wiped out 3 old gods, soloed the lich king, and numerous other end game bosses”. Not realistic I know, but it would be funny
Player character Priest, literally the High priest of all of Azeroth, the chosen champion of the Titan Azeroth herself. Don't play down the player on this list, plus the player can easily cast mass ressurection, something most other lore priests struggle to do, with Priest only on Anduins level being able to do it and its hard for even him to do, yet the player can cast it at will very easy. They are also one of the most versatile, fully trained in both light and void, and even capable of weaving them two oposing forms of magic which normally would violently clash, and they do it with ease. Hell all of the priests on this list bowed down to the player priest when they became High priest. They where one of the only people capable of wielding Lights wrath, the staff that killed everyone else who tried to wield it, and they stayed perfectly sane while wielding Xal'atath, a blade famous for turning all its other wielders completely insane. Nobody else on this list would have touched those two weapons i mentioned.
As usual in your lists you completely forget what the title of your video is called. You justify some of the characters on here just because they are an important character and not because of the feats of strength and power they have displayed making these rankings questionable.

As much as I agree with a lot of this... I seriously disagree with Tyrande being number 1. Velen as a Priest is high key far more potent that Tyrande could ever be. Tyrande shattering Maw guys and Nathanos is really nothing, considering Velen rivaled KJ in power during the ToS raid (even if for a small bit), and KJ, even with his Fel amps, said he was always envious of Velen’s gift, his faith, etc. KJ is also far more attuned to the Light than anyone else imo. Especially with Legion, as this man legit told the Army of the Light that Xe’ras death and all did not mean the end of the light overall, and that there is light within all of us. His wisdom, his power against guys like Tal’gath and KJ, and so forth should scale far above what Tyrande’s ever done so far
Dude you talk about Tyrande vs Nathanos and maw soldiers, is that the only thing you know about her? She has lore in the novels from 16 years ago, she stopped the entire armies of the Legion pouring from portals in War of the ancients near the Well, she destroyed an army of Satyrs, scourge, she even Killed an Emerald Nightmare drake with on spell.

Instead of Vol'jin you could put in here Zabra Hexx. He's kinda forgotten in the lore but priests of the horde have armor set (tier 9) named by him.

I don't know if it's specifically just the Naaru as even S'aara mentions that she is the creation of an undead priest and a human priest if I remember correctly. Something to that effect.
Some of this positioning isn't great. I'd swap in Natalie Seline, the leader of the Cult of Forgotten Shadow, into the list and bump Moira off. Moira doesn't seem that powerful, the only demonstration of her power we have in game is her being a minion of a dungeon boss in Classic. She probably had her position in the order hall because she was a good political leader and organizer. Calia is similar, I'd say; I'd expect she got a little more powerful after being reanimated by the Light, but I still imagine Alonsus would be more powerful than her if it came down to it. While I'm talking about him, Alonsus never 'joined the Forsaken', he's considered one technically sometimes only in that he's a free-willed undead.

I saw this video in my timeline and came to make this comment when I realized I did already over a year ago.
I kinda feel it’s not really easy to measure who is the most powerful priests. Especially since some of the races do not take their powers from the light or the void but from other sources (Loa’s, Elune, the earth mother/the sun, etc.) which are not necessarily comparable in terms of power. We might play all priests following the light with all races in game but in the lore, some races have very different kinds of priests (examples the priestess of Elune are more of a warrior priestess who can heal and damage with the power of Elune) of course we can compare priests like Anduin, Calia, Withemane and Velen cause they are all following the light (when they were priests that is, not when a coked up death knight) but Putting Talanji, Vol’jin and Tyrande isn’t fair for either the light priests and/or the other priests. Like Velen is the most powerful priest of the light but lacks the destructive powers Talanji, Tyrande and Vol’jin has.
Also I think we forget how she was the only leader who killed the fallen Kyrian who were sent to take her(while Thrall, Baine , Anduin and Jaina were taken). Shandris was telling us and Genn that it happened. She also was the only one(besides us) who was able to get away from the maw

Player character Priest, literally the High priest of all of Azeroth, the chosen champion of the Titan Azeroth herself. Don't play down the player on this list, plus the player can easily cast mass ressurection, something most other lore priests struggle to do, with Priest only on Anduins level being able to do it and its hard for even him to do, yet the player can cast it at will very easy. They are also one of the most versatile, fully trained in both light and void, and even capable of weaving them two oposing forms of magic which normally would violently clash, and they do it with ease. Hell all of the priests on this list bowed down to the player priest when they became High priest. They where one of the only people capable of wielding Lights wrath, the staff that killed everyone else who tried to wield it, and they stayed perfectly sane while wielding Xal'atath, a blade famous for turning all its other wielders completely insane. Nobody else on this list would have touched those two weapons i mentioned.

As usual in your lists you completely forget what the title of your video is called. You justify some of the characters on here just because they are an important character and not because of the feats of strength and power they have displayed making these rankings questionable.

As much as I agree with a lot of this...
I seriously disagree with Tyrande being number 1. Velen as a Priest is high key far more potent that Tyrande could ever be. Tyrande shattering Maw guys and Nathanos is really nothing, considering Velen rivaled KJ in power during the ToS raid (even if for a small bit), and KJ, even with his Fel amps, said he was always envious of Velen’s gift, his faith, etc.
KJ is also far more attuned to the Light than anyone else imo. Especially with Legion, as this man legit told the Army of the Light that Xe’ras death and all did not mean the end of the light overall, and that there is light within all of us. His wisdom, his power against guys like Tal’gath and KJ, and so forth should scale far above what Tyrande’s ever done so far

Dude you talk about Tyrande vs Nathanos and maw soldiers, is that the only thing you know about her? She has lore in the novels from 16 years ago, she stopped the entire armies of the Legion pouring from portals in War of the ancients near the Well, she destroyed an army of Satyrs, scourge, she even Killed an Emerald Nightmare drake with on spell.

In my opinion, Tyrande not really deserve 1st place, she is the most selfish lorewise character that we seen so far, her little night elves got obliterated so she got baby raged, on the other side, the Eredar almost wiped out from the universe but they dont seek vengeance, and the other thing, she sucks, deserves 3rd or 4th place
