Hi, you have inspired me so much, I have the case coming from Maplins,. Luckily I already have a 17" screen and also a DVR with remote. I'm slowly getting all the components together. So THANKYOU and any other information you can share? Detailed wiring diagram etc. Cheers
Thanks for the video, I'm interested in building a ground station like that myself. The one thing I am worried about is the latency. Have you tried testing what it is on your setup? You can see the exact number by turning on a stopwatch on your PC, aiming the FPV camera at the PC monitor, then take a photo of the PC monitor and ground station monitor in the same frame.
+Frank Reynhout Hello. What would you like to know? The board only can be purchase from here tinyurl.com/zghbrzq then you need a backlight driver tinyurl.com/huurrdl and video connection wire tinyurl.com/ho3cd2u this is all dependant on the LCD screen and compatibility should be checked first
Nice info there. I bought one of these LCD driver units to take advantage of a 17" LCD from broken laptop. but I am not getting the nice menu settings. Would you be so kind as to link the LCD/Driver so as I can research what exactly I was sold :-) Thanks mate
Have you done any real latency tests with the LCD driver? Maybe you won't be using it for Close Proximity / Racing but still, the time delay I was seeing is substantial. So where is it coming from? Is it the camera or that LCD driver you bought? Both maybe? I have the same gear except a 17" LCD screen and I also installed some new high luminance LED backlight to replace the tired old CCFL that was in it to make it more easily viewed in outdoor conditions ( check out >> www.iccfl.com/index.php?cPath=205&osCsid=0uvo5q20vmgcuqvsm9efunfg56 ) . I have shelved the project as I consider the casing for it, but I now know that I will be up against some possible latency issues. RIght now I am using a 600 tvl PZ-0420 which has no DSP like the Sony Effio series for instance. And there is a fair degree of lag with those. When you have a screen this big, you naturally want to send it as high a resolution as possible like the recent 800tvl offerings. Just thought I would share my experience, for me this opens a whole new can of worms :-) Best regards and happy FPV'ing , C
Hello. Thanks for the heads up. I've never really noticed the lag at the time I was making the video or when I was just testing so I'm not sure where it comes from. I think it may be coming from the GoPro as its the original hero. It possibly could be the compression from 1080 to tv out that may be the problem. When I next do a video on the quad I'll give it a proper test on the fpv camera and not the GoPro. Thanks for your input! Enjoy.
Really liked it hope you have made a video for the rest of the build as well.

Thanks for the reply.

+marcel sip Hello, please take a look at tinyurl.com/ho3cd2u
Enjoy!
Amazing video for help
Hey man I think this has a blue screen on the AV input right?
Lachezar Krastev You can switch it off and on in the menu. Enjoy.
I am asking because I purchased this board and the seller told me that all boards with AV (RCA) input have a blue screen.
Can you show how this works on your station? Thanks!
Lachezar Krastev You just go into setting and turn blue screen on or off. If you turn it off it just goes fuzzy on bad signal.
Thanks I will see when my board comes.
Can you give me a link to that screen you bought? :) Or write it in the description of this video, please.
Hello again. It's just a screen from a old laptop. You can look on eBay too. tinyurl.com/ofmyar2
do a small 1. like a proper cheap 5-10 bucks. 5" screen with arduino.
5.8ghz?
You couldn't even buy the components needed for 10 bucks, sorry!
Can u give me the LCD model no.i have a sharp LQ133K1LD4B LCD .Is it going to work with this board and give me the lvds cable link for the same LCD.
Ask this seller if your LCD is supported. This is a full kit. tinyurl.com/ktbp6xk
you sound like bear grylls. if you have to do a drone recovery video, definelty do it bear style!!
Thanks, I will remember that if I ever loose a copter! :-)
thx for the reply.
Could be cool if you'll add links to components into the description! Great video btw! )
+Andrey Tsvirenko Done!
Does your setup suffer from blue screen?
Kenny Thorburn You can switch it off or on.
