Funny how most of us stress about this like we were getting a divorce. It's 12:00 AM and my letter is complete. Have been wanting to quit for a while now but never had the guts to straight out say it. The letter on hand solidifies my intentions and makes it simpler to express. Don't know who's quote this is but "if it won't matter in five years don't spend five minutes worrying about it " Good luck to you all.

This is more for yourself not the company you work for. Be the professional one standing and allow them to have the ugly face of the company. Believe me it will catch up with them eventually. @@YapperU

Been at Walmart for over 3 years now, and the ASM I have now frustrates me to no end. The work expected is too much, I trained 2 department managers, 5 other associates and often do my department managers jobs for them, yet they refuse to make me a manager or even give me a raise. I've wanted to quit for some time now, but didn't know how to go about it. This video helped me so much, thank you for making it!

I have given a months notice on a few job departures. If possible, I think this is a wise move. In one job interview/offering, I told the new employer I wished to give a months notice to my current employer. I think this help secure the new position as I was looked upon as considerate, and not likely to ever leave them abruptly.

Used your advice and I submitted my resignation today, the responce was a dry one liner “We’re sad to see you go. Will facilitate the process”. 😊so I guess I made a good decision. Will still try to exit with grace like you said though❤

Putting my 2 week notice in today. My job scheduled me 0 hours next week because I wasn’t comfortable covering a hard duty shift (I have a work related injury) that was scheduled for someone who quit. Keep in mind there’s other employees trained in this department. They’ve been having me do stocking, facing and recovering which didn’t really align with my doctors note requirements (pushing and pulling 5+ pounds, repetitive movement, lifting over head). I’m just so over it. I’d rather be jobless than get 0-5 hours when they don’t like me for the week

My question probably seems silly: how do you present the letter in person while talking to them without making it too awkward? Hi there! Such a great question. My recommendation is to start talking, explain your situation and your reason for leaving and then hand your manager/supervisor your letter. Once you give them the letter it's official. Before they have the letter in hand, in some cases, they may try to dissuade you. I hope that helps!

Hi there! Such a great question. My recommendation is to start talking, explain your situation and your reason for leaving and then hand your manager/supervisor your letter. Once you give them the letter it's official. Before they have the letter in hand, in some cases, they may try to dissuade you. I hope that helps!
