  • Smallest member of bourgeoning Spanish performance brand packs the biggest punch 👉 Full Review: www.carsales.c...
The 2022 Cupra Leon has touched down in Australia and the all-new Spanish hot hatch makes a solid counterpoint to the family-oriented Formentor and Ateca from the Volkswagen Group’s new affordable performance brand.
Based on the Volkswagen Golf GTI but with more power, the Cupra Leon VZx packs a big punch and is the pick of the Cupra bunch for driving enthusiasts.
It’s not particularly cheap, but Sam Charlwood discovers the flagship hot hatch is an exciting new entrant to the Aussie market.

It’s Seat Leon VZx successor of Ibiza Cupra.

A lot of feed back and road noise would be tiring on a long journey . But then others may like it.

Its a sports car bro. Its better to have more feedback than less. Feedback road noise and general drama is part and the whole point of getting sports car. Big plus!!

I have one and yesterday I drive over 500km on the German Autobahn. I never felt so relaxed after such an long journey as in the Cupra.

@@timtabletop I bet you drive faster than my 90kph I do in Australia 🇦🇺. Lol.

Maximum speed was around 260kph and it felt very safe. But most of the time I was traveling with 150kph with the travel assist. It works very good

it is subjective. it can be annoying. I find unnecessarily noisy tires irritating, my old mazda 3 was horrendous. But then a completely silent interior is a bit too clinical

@@jitendarsingh5170 Faster on a roll too. My mate has a 7.5R wagon. Slams me on the launch, but I pull on the roll. 😁 These are also faster on track than the golf R, in several videos I've watched.

Just what we need another VW clone...

we do need it as it is the Golf GTi Clubsport which we don't get with VW here.
And if you know, you know. You don't know. evidently.
