The Boeing 747 is by far the best aircraft design - truly elegant, flies gracefully, and makes every modern day aircraft look like an after thought. I've been truly blessed and fortunate to experience several flights on your cosy cabin. We love you and always will. ❤️
No other airplane like this....no other Boeing like this.....no other three numbers.....no other Queen .....only ONE.... BOEING 747.....THE QUEEN OF THE SKIES 👑..... FOREVER ‼️
RIP 747-400 and older models. Millions of passengers, yours truly included, thank you so much for your dedicated service. Queen of the Skies!! ❤️❤️✈️✈️
I’ve been Big fan of Virgin Atlantic’s 747-400s for past 22 years and watching this is very emotional I’m happy to have also flown on the aircraft in 2001
So sad it ended like this for B747-400s. Never be the same again seeing a 4 engined Virgin plane again. I wish they would display this aircraft somewhere as the livery is unique
THIS is how we honor one of the accomplishments of mankind. I won't say it was one of the best or that it was a positive creation, but it did serve a helpful purpose to us. WHAT A BIRD!
I had the privilege to fly on the 747 across the Pacific a half dozen times in the 70’s and 80’s, a joy to ride on. For whatever comfort this brings , the Queen is not going away. Although her days as a passenger plane are fading fast, she will be around as a freighter for probably another decade or so. You may not see her, but she will still be around!
Boeing 747 is the most beautiful design airplane! I love her since I was still a little kid, I really admire her in photos and in TV and I've never tried flying with her yet.😥 only 2 engined airplanes. So sad to know that she's retiring. This could only mean that I could never experience her anymore. So heartbreaking!💔 I love you #QueenOfTheSkies 😭❤
I'm not crying it's those dang onions. I live by Sky harbor airport and seeing British Airways 747 was always a treat seeing her coming in or taking off.
My uncle owned a cessna 172 he used to circle over my parents house doing 360's for 5 min this was near squaw peak Phx in the 80's. he always wing waved leaving. Brought back some memories thanks
So Sad to see her go like this. The Goodbye Wave was stylish but emotional as well. Queen of The Skies will always remain Queen of The Skies for me. Well, The A380- never got to sit on one but B 747-400 Series lots of memories.
Shouldn't this beautiful princess be place somewhere, for people to visit and view, instead of being dismantled!! Thanks for sharing this final departure!😥
You're absolutely right. This exceptional Queen of the Skies should be preserved. For example, how many legendary planes were destroyed right after World War II? Think of the Spitfires, Lancasters and other flying heirlooms. When will we ever learn?
I think it will be stored for some time and after this crisis dies down it will be sold to a second tier airline or converted to freighter. It's to valuable to be scraped now. It has at least another 10-15 years of useful service ahead.
In 2012 ab Virgin Atlantic 747 took me from London to San Francisco. This trip still means the world to me, I still get goose bumbs when I talk about it. I never got to do a trip like that again. But I am greatful that one of these awesome planes took me, safely there and also safely back home. I will never forget that ever, it is going to be a story I will tell my grandchildren one day.
The first time I was ever shown a video of a plane when I was a child by my dad, it was a virgin Atlantic 747, This was a bit emotional to watch, but as BoJack horseman said, the drip, finally stops. Rest easy queen.
I was at my barbers' last year and was conversing with a retired pilot who had flown multiple Boeing models over his career and he told me that the 747-400 was his absolute favorite plane to fly. He explained that it truly was a pilots plane and a wonderful aircraft to have at his control. I asked him about the 777 and he said that as nice as the Triple 7 is, it's so automated that there's a certain disconnect between pilot and plane; that the experience was somewhat numb compared to the Queen. A gorgeous bird, she is. I never got to fly on her, but I will always marvel at her lines and beauty.
I been on 747 many times . One of my favorite plane . When I was traveling back in the day. I always looking forward to hoop on 747. She is so heavy that I hardly feel any sharking during turbulence.
well watched the video. o my so sad. I never got fly on a 747 ,,,,, Very sad. May she rest in peice she will be missed so much .. I wish her a safe journey may she find a great place in the sky to fly forever..
Such a majestic aircraft!! Nothing like the 747! First flight was on a 747, and they became my favourite. That Star Wars music, then lifting her nose majestically into the air, followed by the wing wave. More emotional than it should have been! Really appreciated the video! Thanks!!
Been to florida and back on 747 400 so many times and had the most amazing of holidays was going in bubble next yr celebrating my 60th now never happen rip wing wave was emotional 😢 💔 let's see what new aircraft will be like not same by long way xx
Breaks my 💔 worked on them and loved every minute! From the smooth landings in Gatwick to the turbulence leaving the Caribbean and Vegas. Sad year for the queen of the skies. Thank you for loading 👍
Next to the Concorde the 747 was truly the finest commercial aircraft ever made. I guess it was just not cost effective to continue. I flew quite often & I NEVER had a bad flight on any 747. She will be missed. She was & always be the QUEEN of the skies.
Absolutely heartbreaking to see them go. They meant so much to so many people. But they all got a good send off, all credit to the crew. Things will never be the same again, as someone once said. 💔 💔
Beautiful plane and sad to see another 747 heading to what may be it's final landing. And I'm blown away that there is a park there at the airport for those who like to watch planes. I wish all big airports had such places.
It would be so nice if other airports where equipped with a viewing park, but others like Heathrow, nowadays rather discourage aircraft spotters , frequently patrolled by police, and they even question some plane spotters at times when they feel like it! Its a shame really as airports like Amsterdam schipol cater for plane enthusiasts particularly well, but Heathrow does not why i don't know?
I took a flight in February from LGW to MBJ on this beautiful aircraft SPECIFICALLY to fly on a 747 and boy am I glad I did. I've flown nearly every aircraft type and could never get a trip on the queen... BUT FINALLY on February 7th 2020 I did. About one of the few good things of 2020. Still way more comfortable than any other aircraft to me!!! She'll be sorely missed!!! ✈❤
I got the opportunity to fly on her twice and Jersey girl...its so sad to see the end of the behemoths, its almost like Concorde syndrome it feels like were going backwards not forwards 💙
is Jersey girl gone aswell then? i flew on her to St Lucia back in 08 and then see her again at Gatwick in 2012 Taxiing past me whilst on another Aircraft Taxiing for take off
Very true. I love flying on 747's and A380's. These huge planes are so much more relaxing as the seem to iron out the bumps the 777's and the likes just can't do. Even A380's are now being retired and broken up after just 13 years in service.
Respect to the flight crew for vacating the runway and taxiing past the pub, even slowing down to allow for videos and pictures, I`m not a fan of Star Wars, but flying such an iconic 747 to the cemetery cant be easy, sad, very very sad. You did your home town proud Aviation Manchester.
I flew this plane to Vegas in 2011. Economy was so tired, the IFO didn’t work, but I didn’t care. Queen of the Skies, there won’t ever be another like her. If only British Airways would give you the send off you deserve at Heathrow!
CDMX, Virgin increíble la cantidad de gente para ver este gigantesco avión. Me sumo y lo admiro x igual. Que B E L L E Z A, un beso muy grande para los tripulantes mis grandes héroes. Cap.y P.O con respeto.
That was dope and sad! The Falcon was the first 747 I ever flew on and my 1st of only 2 flights on the Queen before the pandemic madness and early aircraft retirements
That was a awsome send off an i loved the the theme music an the livery on the it i remember seeIng THE FALCON at BRISBANE Airport while dropping a friend there

Such a beautiful aircraft especially in virgin colors sad sad day all thanks to COVID-19 I know they where going to retire in a couple years but not like this it’s not fair been flying on the beautiful 747s for 16 years so great fun to of flown on this beautiful aircraft will always be missed and never forgotten R.I.P 747s ✈️ ❤️
If you or any airline out there is willing to purchase and do the maintenance on a 20 year old 4 engine airplane that probably has difficulty filling all of 400+ seats on many flights they'll gladly sell this 'beauty'!
Nice video. It’s very sad Indeed. Also sad that I may never ever get a chance to fly on one those since most or all airlines are getting rid of them. And I really don’t have the luxury of flying often. Such a majestic airplane. Very touching to see all those people came out to say goodbye. Had to have been very emotional for the pilots too.
Great video mate , I couldn’t be there so thanks so much for sharing this 👍 this is the best video I have watched for Falcon it encapsulates everything . Cheers .keep up the great work
The wing wave made me tear up. Such a majestic aircraft. I believe the 747 REALLY has a heart.
Gets me every time. ☹️💔

Reduced me to tears. The B747-400 was and is magnificent in any colours. Taken before its time.
What a magnificent airplane! Queen of the skies! Will be remembered, dear Falcon.
👰😭
What do you call a person that loves watching take off and landings and even loves to watch from the cockpit. Because I bloody love it.
Ah this made me cry. I took my last flight on this beauty ♥️
The 747 is something special and beautiful to behold. RIP 747. You will forever be the greatest of the skies.
RIP 747-400 and older models. Millions of passengers, yours truly included, thank you so much for your dedicated service. Queen of the Skies!! ❤️❤️✈️✈️
wow
Not just that now - Beoing have announced they will cease production of all models as soon as current orders are fulfilled
Muggles87 I guess you mean all models of the 747.
Damm I never got the chance or the money to ever ride in an 747-400😡

There still is a 4 engined virgin aircraft the a340
Not crying.. it’s hayfever, I promise 🫣 I miss working on these beauties

It's so sad the 747's are being phased out I absolutely love those planes have flown on them lots of times sad day.😭
The wing wave was a great touch. A stunning aircraft and so iconic
That was amazing they did a taxi way a few times before takeoff and that so many people got to witness it up close and personal
