i fight the dragon without potions and i win.....full diamond Protection 1 is enough.....u dont really need potion....Oh! and get yourself at least 5 Golden Apples begore defeating the Dragon
If you’re looking for nether warts to make a fire resistance potion you can also get fire resistance potion by giving piglins gold ingots so there’s a chance to get fire resistance potion

Majority do, but not all. Its random what parts of a fortress spawn, and sometimes they come without that staircase. In my survival world, the closest fortress to me has no warts. I had to go exploring for a second fortress before I found one with them.
I got about 15 nether warts from the fortress with my friends, it was all going well until two wither skeletons ambushed us from the other hallway. I lost my warts and when we came back it was gone, we got careless cause wither effects can ignore armor defences, We have to find another bastion or fortress to loot, Truly devastating.
I went though 3 sets of enchanted diamond armor in Permadeath mode with several close calls including getting launched off a cliff into the lava pool and explored all the biomes only to come across a nether fortress with no netherwart XD. Then I got sick of burning though diamond armor and ungraded to stacked netherite armor with mending. It was only today I finally found a fortress that had a chest containing 3 netherwart. It probably took me about 24 hours total spent searching in the nether.
When I was trying to find neither wart I ended up getting killed by a piglin even tho I had gold armor on, turns out that if you give piglins to much gold they get greedy and kill you now the piglin now has my golden helmet and ran away. I think he probably fell into lava cause I couldn’t find him after.
The fortress in this update is sometimes separated unlike before it was 1 big base but now its separated i don't know if the fortress before was separated but the fortress before is very huge and its guarantee you will find and nether warts but now some fortress don't have the nether warts wich makes it more difficult to find i needed peacefully just to find that freaking warts

I actually never harvest netherwart without a fortune 3 pickaxe. Though fortune 3 doesn't affect any other crop, it does affect nether warts so it drops much more.
Dude I've searched everywhere in my nether fortess and I'm not even kidding there is no nether wart its literally not in my netherfortess and trying to find it in the bastion is gonna be 2 times harder.

I started just doing peaceful mode when getting stuff. It takes too much time to lose rare items by some random skeleton

You need sticky piston ,lever, cobblestone, stack of woods,stack of cobblestone , important;composter

I spawned in a cave in the biome that looks like the original nether, then when I got out of the cave in like 1 min I saw the fortress
