      The nether fortress is divided into 2 sections, a open section where blaze spawners are and, a covered section where the chests are the two sections are always connected by the room with the lava in it. so if you are looking for blaze spawners stay in the open section

    The actual term for the lava well is the Nether Fortress Hub, and as such it is the spawn point from which the fortress generates from, and can lead to all parts of the structure, both inside and out. So if you find a second Hub, you have found another fortress.

    Two more tips:
    Make a respawn anchor in a central and safe part of the fort. For this you'll need crying obsidian and glowstone blocks. Don't forget extra glowstone blocks to charge it up. If you meet an unfortunate end inside the fortress, you'll respawn there. Keep a chest there with some supplies so you can get back to your stuff. Both can be gotten from piglins. Crying obsidian can be found as part of ruined portals. You'll need 6 crying obby and at least 4 glowstone blocks. 3 to craft, and each charge uses one glowstone block.
    Bring 30 obsidian and a few ender pearls. Put a nether portal in your safe spot in the fort. In the overworld you can get wood, water, food, and other things much easier than in the nether. The other 16 obby are to make ender chests.
    Once you defeat a blaze, use a rod to create two blaze powder. Use that powder to make two eyes of ender. Now you can make one of the coolest items in the game, the ender chest. They're small; make two. In the crafting table, use the obsidian like you would wood to make a chest. Then put an eye of ender in the middle. Place it on the ground like a regular chest. Anything you put in it will appear in any other ender chest you open anywhere in that world. Put your loot in there. Keep your valuables in there because nobody else can get to your items in there. Put the second one in your base when you get back, or near your nether portal in the overworld if it's far from your base. Eventually you'll want to put an e-chest anywhere you spend any amount of time, like farms, storage rooms, etc. Note that they can only be mined with a silk touch pickaxe of any kind, otherwise they only drop 8 obsidian and no eye of ender.

    • @ouwebrood497
      @ouwebrood497 10 месяцев назад +6

      Yes, I would add to that: if you don't want to make a respwan anchor you can also make a nether portal and place a bed in the overworld right next to that nether portal.

    Nether fortress tips: When you see the netherwart staircase go up if you want to go to the inside part of the fortress and down / straight if you want to go to the outside area. If you find the normal staircase (not the one block small one) go up if you want to go outside and down if you want to go inside the fortress. The lava well room is the middle of the fortress and there is only one per fortress. Also every fortress has two blaze spawners.

    Another helpful tip that I'm not sure is in the video or not but the nether fortress is divided into 2 sections, a open section where blaze spawners are and, a covered section where the chests are the two sections are always connected by the room with the lava in it. so if you are looking for blaze spawners stay in the open section

    I got 2!
    1: If you can, find a spawner thats surrounded by netherrack. That will make it harder for your blaze rods to fall far away from you, stop blazes from flying away, and stop most outside mobs from attacking you.
    2: Be sure to bring a sheild while trying to get blaze rods! they make it much easier to not get lit on fire!

  • @chickenbot2748
    @chickenbot2748 10 месяцев назад +7

    Fortress tip: If you are trying to collect blaze rods, the spawners are where you want to be. They only generate in the open section of the fortress. If you are in the closed section, like the area with chests and a roof, here is how you get to the other part of the fortress: If you see a staircase with walls on both sides, you up. If you see a staircase with soul sand and nether wart on the sides, go down. Lastly, if you see a balcony, you the opposite the direction of the way the balcony is facing. Hopefully that made sense and have good luck on your fortress navigation.

    this is sorta random but fun fact the only 2 ores that don't have a corresponding naturally spawning i block/slab/raw version are actually the coal block and emerald block, arguably the two easiest to get (btw not including netherite). gold and quartz in bastions, diamond and lapis in woodland mansions, redstone in ancient cities, raw copper and iron in ore veins, amethyst in geodes (if you even count that as an ore). edit: in 1.20 coal blocks now generate naturally in trail ruins so the emerald blocks is the only ore block that doesn't spawn naturally

    I always take out the blaze spawners. There will be a lot of blazes anyway, they distract from hunting wither skulls and set everything on fire.
    When you do your first Nether Fortress raid for the blaze rods and the nether wart I always bring with me the stuff to get my brewing and enderchest going: bucket(s) of water, cauldron, brewing stand or cobblestone, slime balls, redstone dust, obsidian and ender pearls. Once I have my first one or two blaze rods and my first nether wart I can brew my first extended fire resistance potions and from then on everything will be easier.
    If you make and fill an ender chest, don't forget to bring at least one blaze powder home with your own inventory to make the other ender chest once home.
    The first raid of a nether fortress is also a good occassion to consume your rare enchanted apples. You need them less desperately once you can brew potions of fire resistance.

  • @Lam4tm
    @Lam4tm 10 месяцев назад +1

    Ok some speedrunners tip here:
    Tip 1. Every nether fortress is devided in 2 parts: the outside bridges with blaze spawners and the enclosed part with chests.
    If you r in the enclosed part and wants to find blaze spawners, follow these rules:
    -Go up normal staircases
    -Go down netherwart staircases
    - Go to the opposite side of balconies
    Eventually you will find the lava well room which connects tthe 2 fortress parts.
    Tip 2: Every fortress has 2 spawners so if you r waiting for the next spawn of blazes, it could be a good idea to go find the 2nd spawner.
    Tip 3(very important): Fortress spawns more mob in biomes will low mob counts. So basically biomes like crimson forest has so many piglins and hoglins that if a fortress were to generate in one, its not gonna spawn many wither skeletons/skeletons/stray blazes/zombie piglin/magma cubes. However, a biome such as warped forest or soul sand valley spawn verry little mobs so a fortress here will spawn continuously.
    -Crimson, nether waste fortresses spawn very little
    -Basalt fortresses spawn a decent amount
    -Warped, soul sand valley fortresses spawn a ton
    Tip 4: You can make a fortress spawn more stray blazes and wither skeletons by turning your render distance to 5 when entering the fortress and slowly turning it back up. This works really well in warped and soul sand valleys.
    Tip 5: Go search up "minecraft nether quadrants", I dont remember the exact numbers and coordinates lmao. So basically if you're looking for a fortress or a bastion, its a good idea to go diagonally from 0 0 in all 4 directions. Its 50/50 whether a fotress or bastion would spawn (Ruined portals dont count)

  • @MichaelRBaron
    @MichaelRBaron 10 месяцев назад

    Fire res makes fortresses a lot safer. You have two ways to get those potions.
    Option 1: barter with piglins for fire res potions. Bring gold from the overworld, mine nether gold ore, or raid a bastion for the gold blocks. Turn them into ingots before bartering.
    Option 2: bring cobblestone, a crafting table, and some glass bottles filled with water, at least 3. A slime ball and redstone is also useful.
    Collect two blaze rods. Use one to craft a brewing stand, and turn the other to blaze powder. Combine one blaze powder with a slime ball (or defeat a magma cube) for a magma creme. Place the other blaze powder in the stand as fuel. Put the water bottles in the brewing stand, then 1 netherwart you found in the fort. Next, the magma creme. Finally, put a redstone dust in to extend the potion.
    You can also put the potions you get from piglins in the stand and add redstone to them to make them 8 minute potions.

    Nether fortress tip: put the 3 block at every intersection. Replace the middle block with something different to signify the way out. I also like to put doorways and doors to make safe spots to heal and lure mobs like blazes into it if you dont have good aim with a bow. Then when you walking, all you have to do is follow the doorways with a different middle block to find the way out, and if that doesnt work, follow it the opposite way

    I don't see this tip but I think it's a no brainer, especially if you do the first fortress raid: wear at least one armor piece with level 4 fire protection, preferably 2 of them. They are not as good as the potion (or enchanted golden apple), but it makes a big difference getting fire damage. It can be the difference between life or death in a lot of occassions.
    If you don't have golden apples it might be a solution to carry suspicious stew made with an oxeye daisy. Downside however is they are not stackable, so after consuming it you have to craft a new one (no need for crafting table though) and that can be a distraction.

    Put a cobblestone block in the corridor with a torch on the side you came from, then you can follow the touches home from anywhere.

    Fortress Hack: Use one of your building blocks to mark/block dead ends so you will know you don't need to go back down that path ever again. I always just put a single block with a torch on it. This works well in the stronghold as well.

    Lighting up the fortress is a great way to stop skeletons and wither skeletons from spawning, as they both need light level 0 to spawn. This, along with fire resistance potions are the best way to get blaze rods quickly if that's all you are there for

  • @jbsmith966
    @jbsmith966 10 месяцев назад

    Take some doors with you, and some extra chests or barrels. When you finally find a blaze spawner, find a wall nearby. Dig into the wall and make a 3 wide 3 high 3 deep panic room just to get started. Put the door up obviously. Then pick a place for the chest or dig a hole in the wall and put a barrel there. Store excess food, fire resistance potions, healing potions, extra arrows, ect, ect here for future emergency use in the chests or barrels. Recommend an Iron Door and use buttons to open door instead of pressure plates. Some mobs can open doors if pressure plates are used. You can always expand this basic starter room any way you like later on.
    Great to have a nearby safe spot to retreat to when farming for blaze rods.
    Also- if the spawner is in the open like the one seen in this video, put nether brick fences or cobblestone walls on top of the side "walls" of the pathway that lead up to the spawner. Makes the approach to the spawner a bit more safe. I mean it is all to easy to jump up on top of those pathway "walls" and fall off accidentally to a most unfortunate doom in the chaos & heat of combat with any mobs you are doing battle with.

    Use glow lichen instead of torches to mark and light the fort. They do not block mob spawn when hunting wither skeletons and can be farmed with bonemeal.

  • @christianhohenstein1422

    Blazes spawn at light level 11 o r below, that is only three blocks away from a torch. So to spawnproof the corridors of the fortress you rally need to spam torches

  • @JesusIsLord77788
    @JesusIsLord77788 10 месяцев назад

    Tip: Always keep blocks to mark your way! Bring 2 types. Use 1 type to block the head space where you haven't gone (like wattles did) to instantly provide protection. Use that same block to show where you haven't been. Use another block to mark a single space on the ground for where you have been. = dead end or no point of going that way. If you want to mark something important add another block type as well. Do this every time you come to an intersection and you will never get lost! I recommend cobble and netherack.
    This works great for strongholds too!

    Partially lighting up the Blaze spawner can reduce the spawning speed to a more manageable rate.
    I put a torch on top of the spawner and one block away 4 more torches around it. Is slows the spawning down to an easy rate.

    The 2 bock high barrier he does is essential. I love watching this though. Really speaks to the difficulty between bedrock v Java. In bedrock, you NEED a shield. I never use them except the fortress. I swear wither sleetons have a further hitbox on java- getting that close on br they will 100 hit you before you hit them... or sweeping edge has further reach. But, you need to torch everything in br or there will be spawns everywhere. fyi you can block blazes from spawning by putting down a ton of torches... little known thing. Anywho- comical watching the easiness of Java "hard mode". You'd be dead 10 times in br approaching a fortressn this way.

      @nicholasherrald2866 10 месяцев назад

      At 24:13, when he stops to look around, you would be surrounded by mobs there on br, for example... the fact that there is nothing spawning is insane.

    I’ve been trying to raid a fortress for blaze rods for soooo long. Instead of a close up attack I’ve been trying to shoot the Blazes with a bow while holding my shield up to block fireballs. It works pretty well except when the Blaze dies and falls into the lava along with the blaze rod 💀💀

    Just a heads up, instead of waiting for optifine to update after every new version, I'd recommend using fabric with performance mods (sodium, lithium, starlight, enhanced block entities, etc) as well as mods that replicate optifine's features (iris for shaders, lambdynamiclights for dynamic lighting, cit resewn for custom textures via different nbt values, connected block textures for connected glass and sandstone, etc). Often times, they update much faster than optifine and offer even better performance
