Actually, I find this story romantic and movie like in its own way. Like kalau jodoh tak ke mane. Different countries pon, you'll still find your way to each other. It's beautiful, really. Hahaha
Watching you reminds me of my brother. He is pretty much like you. The mindset, your personalities (even the :) is similar! haha) which inspires me to become a better person. Thank you :)
succinct.. and what a useful vid esp for a uni person. I found it simple yet the "self defining phase" and the "environment" part were deep and relatable. so yea, another worth watching vid from you. May your lives be blessed
Beautiful story masha’Allah. But I have a question, how was it with the parents ? Was it easy for her to talk about it to them ? Like is it in your culture to marry someone like this ? Beacause in many cultures, a girl talking about a guy to her parents for marriage is like the end of the word lol Anyway, thank you for this video it is very inspiring 😄
Well, it was not the end of the word. It was awkward, yes. It was difficult, yes. But generally, a child should be able to speak comfortably with his/her parents. Because...well...they're your parents. It should be a relationship of love and respect, despite the culture.
May I ask, after both of you decided to get married, how long does it takes to get prepared, discuss with both parents and so on, until the day you get married? Does both you and your wife being firm with both parents or is it only you get to be firm and make most of the decision? Because I had a feeling like once I've decided he's the one, and we're going to get married, we should do it fast despite not being prepared. Since I don't want to be in a haram relationship for so long. I admit that I've triggered by my young married friends actually. But it does takes time to be prepared. Any advice please.
I approached my wife in my 3rd year of university. We started with serious discussions between us about marriage. That same year, I approached his father to ask for her hand in marriage. We studied for our last year (4th year) and graduated. After graduation, we got married. That's the brief timeline. But we didn't rush it. We took our time to prepare ourselves. For example, I took about 4-5 different marriage classes, read books, discuss with a marriage counselor twice, and discuss with people who are wise...before I took the leap into marriage. Plus, I really want it. So, prepare yourself first. Then move to the approach, and include the family (especially the wali), in the beginning of the process. As for the decisions to make along the way, musyawarah (mature discussions) is the key. We discussed everything and made decisions together.
@@aimanazlan90 How long did it took for you to get married after graduation ? Probably it took you a while right ? Finding a job, financial stability etc...
"i basically married my classmate, who is now my soulmate,"
best way to end the video! XD
Kan? :)

I would love to look for someone, but thinking people might think I'm desperate so i don't even try searching
The problem there isn't searching. The problem there is you worry too much about what people think.
@@aimanazlan90 Thank you for spending time reading the comments although I had forgot them haha
Most of the time your soulmate is just within your circle. I have no circle, it's dot lol
Everyone has a circle. A circle is people you know and people who know you.
