This was supposedly the only recital Dupre played in Germany, after the war. The four-movement symphony that preceded this must be ranked Dupre's finest effort. Would that it were transcribed and published!

The best improvisation of M. Dupré indeed. The Passacaglia in astonishing too. He was a real genius.
