  • With Nigel Benn & Chris Eubank about to engage in another 12 round war, the pair appeared on an ITV show with Jonathan Ross to further talk up their hatred of each other. But common ground is found when a live link to Mickey Rourke & IBF champ James Toney results in both men being insulted.

I think Benn was tailor made for Toney, given Toney's counterpunching skills. Mind you he wouldn't have gone quietly, and would have made Toney work every minute.
Eubank would have given Toney more trouble, his his tricky style and fast hands. But I don't think he would have been active enough and Toney would outhustle him, especially down the stretch.

I don't think toney hit harder than the g man and look what happened to him eubank did the same thing to Watson when you call these fighters bums remember they left there opponents in a vegitive state toney just knocked people out these guys especially Benn had hearts of steel poor g man and Watson had to learn that the hard way there is a saying the one who shouts the most is the one who is afraid

@joe blanco he was having chin issues? Mate are you serious he stood toe to toe with Julian Jackson the biggest hitter in the devision at that time and knocked him out for a second time Geralds problem was he had no stamina and his fights never went past 3 rounds and the one time he had to go the distance he fell at the first hurdle James toney wouldnt last with Gerald and Roy Jones jnr wouldn't even face McClellan as a professional it's sad but true mate McClellan met someone who wanted the fight more than him it's boxing it happens
