@@ODK321 yes, I really like my S&F mattress. It feels like a firm mattress and I personally like this type of mattress, firm. If I had to do it again, I will definitely purchase another one. This Costco S&F mattress is seriously heavy. I am not able to lift it on my own.
Which model did you lay on? They have recent ‘innovations’ with the Hybrid models, the comfort layers are integrated right on top of the springs which gives totally independent conformance. VERY similar to what Carpe Diem beds started.

Mattresses are a racket! Just bought a 2023 Sterns & Fosters Reserve, Medium, King from my cousin that can get them direct from the factory through Sealy. The MSRP is $5,200 and he got it to me delivered for $1,560. That’s 70% discount and they are still making a healthy profit of at least 200% on that transaction alone. The only thing sold today with better profit margins are Diamonds (which are a complete scam).
Yea the mark up is insane on the mattress industry. That's why everything is always on "sale". These things cost 1/5 minimum to make and ship versus what they charge.

I appreciate and saw your post today, Feb 1st, 2023 I decided to go with a Stearns & Foster, The Studio model. I have been trying to find a bed that will give me lower back support. Went from latex to purple, to an Intellibed, and not one gave me the support I am looking for. The Intellibed soft was a big mistake, I lay on this bed and felt the pain right away from lower back pain after having it for two years, today I am now going to try the Stearns & Foster Studio. My bed is a Twin XL does not mean a get a better price. I am praying tonight I will felt the support, the new bed will be a Medium Firm. Bought at Mattress Firm. Get 120 days to test it out. I would love to open up a McCroskey Mattress. I'm a fan of what they've done in the past, and what they're currently doing. If I can get a hold of one, I definitely would open it up.
@@ramkumarchandrasekar263 We love it. It's truly a medium feel which is what we wanted. I was Leary about a pillow top mattress, but they did a great job with the feel and support. It's also very quiet and doesn't cause a lot disturbance when switching positions. In reality Isleep longer on it. The quality is on par with their Lux Estate line which is what this is. The warranty card has Lux Estate on it. We also ordered the foundation for it from Costco. Costco has a great return policy if it doesn't work out for you.
@@i2thadean I initially did have a wood spring box, however, it failed about a year later and Costco took it back and exchanged it for a Hollywood metal box bed frame/platform. It's been great since. No complaints about it or the mattress.
I have a 30 year old queen size top of line Sterns & Foster. Paid $2,700 for it, they don't make them now like they used too. It is covered with luxury cloth material made in Belgium.
Hi @jefffisher1045, it is a bit more challenging to accomplish the softness with latex but still possible, or at least get close. However if you layer it the right way you can accomplish the softness. Our 12” Presidio soft would be the one I would go to
Have an almost 3 yo Sterns&Foster Cassatt Ultra Plush EPT Queen. Slight dip where we lay all night but nothing serious. I am an edge side sleeper and the edge support is awesome. We rotate it every 6-8 months (heavy). It bends and recovers well on the adjustable base. Wife Unit is still happy so all is good. At 66+ yo, our hip and shoulder arthritis bothers us from time to time, but as this is also true on vacations, I don't think the mattress is to blame. 10/10 rating from our diva Yorkie, 8/10 from us (price and weight). Very well constructed. I miss our '80s Waveless Waterbed.
I purchased a Stearns and Foster Pillowtop Sharondale Mattress 23 years ago. It had casmere in it and no foam! What is comparable to it? My mattress is finally wearing out!

Stearns & Foster used to make true premium mattresses. Not anymore. As the video showed, they’re made of plastic (polyurethane-based foam). No lambswool, cashmere or any natural material whatsoever (not even latex). You’d have to buy a British-made luxury mattress to get something comparable to your old S&F

I bought a sterns and foster king size mattress from MATHIS BROTHERS and it’s sagging and I can feel the springs . I only had the mattress for 2 1/2 yrs. I paid 2,400 dollars for the mattress .
@@randomrazr The sagging area in your mattress has to be 2.5 inch deep to return it , also there were some other things you had to complete before returning it and I just didn’t have the time to deal with the situation . I think my mattress measure 2 inch deep sagging area at the time . Im still sleeping on that same mattress and pushing a pillow under my back to get comfortable.

I just purchased a high end steans and foster they never once mentioned the nano spings in the top portion in the pillow top !?! Ive also have not read about them eitherzz???
We have a Hurston Estate Luxury Firm king size mattress. It started getting dips after the first month. We rotated monthly because of how much pain we had trying to sleep on it. I filed a warranty claim after a year and a half because the gullies were just getting worse. To file a claim you have to print their measuring paper, and do measurements with a broom handle across the bed. Then you have to lift the bed and stand it up because they want pictures of the foundation and frame. We were shocked to see that the frame we bought with the mattress is also sagging. We aren’t overweight, but I guess the heavy mattress was too much for the matching foundation. So, the dips when we sent the pictures were 1.5 one one side and slightly less on the other. It was rotated a week prior to that. Our claim was denied. Please research thoroughly before buying a Stearns and Foster. The price is high enough, but the quality isn’t!

they all sag with the possible exception of latex; it sounds cliched, but in the case of mattresses they just don't make them like they did 20 years ago...
Are you saying by less is more just put latex on springs? 😂 The only difference between S&F and a custom made mattress is price. If it was flat out superior to just put latex on springs everyone would be doing it.

Their way overpriced and the guy who bought it a year ago returned it because it sagged in the middle. thanks to Pablo for pointing out the problem with S&F mattresses, besides the high prices too much memory foam and "micro coils" more memory foam. i was close to spending $7,000 today for two S&F twin xl mattresses but after seeing this video THANK YOU PABLO i'll do my homework and look for a better bed and sleep well tonight with my 7K.

It's a quality mattress made with higher quality materials however it has too many comfort layers that cause it to crater after awhile. Less is more. If it had coil springs with a latex layer it would be great, like the ones his company sells.

I’m disappointed after 5 yrs it’s already worn out . Won’t be buying one again . Could have paid 2k And that would have lasted just as long . It’s all such a shim sham

Definitely can feel that the inner foams are cheaper. The outside is high quality. Nothing but firm, I couldnt fee any give or plushness despite being fluffy on top. I have never returned a product so quickly. Stay away unless you need something pretty and super firm.

I bought this mattress from Mattress Firm in August 2019, and today is July 21, 2024 and it’s already worn and sinking on both sides.
I'd buy a new shell of 11" height, move the spring pack over to it and add a 3" Dunlop topper.
Organic cotton over Talalay latex over quality springs is all you need. Most areas have a custom mattress maker. A queen would be about $2K.

These mattresses are EXTREMELY heavy !! Not for older people. . .cannot flip. . .

I had one of these and it was JUNK. It wore out after a year, Fortunately Mattress firm got us a refund and we used it to purchase a better brand.
