- Hi loves! I submitted this application video for the Belmont University Songwriting Program in Fall of 2019 and thought it might be helpful to share for any current or future applicants! :) I was accepted on my 2nd try (this video!) and have absolutely LOVED attending Belmont. I’m writing this as a current Senior, and am emotional seeing how many of my big dreams have come true since. I believe in you!

I actually just took Lyric Writing with Professor Dubois and absolutely loved it! This was my application video from 2019 so I'm currently wrapping up my Senior year, very grateful for his mentorship!

I would really like to get in the industry as a songwriting but not a performer. Do you have to be able to perform the songs great to be accepted in the program? Or is it more focus on the lyrics then ones ability to sing?
