I have to say you are very well spoken and a great representation for all hunters and hunting in general. Keep up the great times and keep those times coming 🤙
Hunters and hunting is not necessary, it’s just an excuse so dickheads can go and shoot at virtually anything that moves, then they say it’s for the environment, bullshit, all handed down by their dumb parents and or dumb grandparents.
Thanks for sharing. Brought back great memories of duck hunting with my grandfather, father and brothers years ago. This is just the motivation needed to taste wild duck again. Its been a while. Cheers mate.
Epic mate! Its all been said and I back everything you are about. RESPECT! And to all involved with conservation of these habitats. So looking forward to getting in to the ducks.
I love watching bird dogs do their thing. They froth so hard when a bird goes down and can’t wait to get out there! Awesome video mate I’m getting into deer and ducks myself and I’m dead keen to get out there and enjoy what this land has to offer
Well done mate great video and some very true facts on keeping what we have by mentoring other fingers crossed next trip you come down for you can hunt for a bit longer
If we Australians get robbed again of our right to hunt and harvest what nature has to offer then we are to blame. Please keep this tradition alive. I live in Queensland and duck/quail hunting is not allowed here, and my dream is to do duck hunting so maybe I will make a trip to Victoria but I know no one over there and how to organise it. Are you guys using steel or lead shot? What ammo are you using/size. I wish one of you was using a side by side shotgun to even keep it more traditional. Great video and I really appreciate it….
Absolute loved the video not just the shooting but the whole adventure behind it , also loved the camera work behind following the ducks well done mate
Thats ridiculous that shooting light is at 8:00..... here in america its right at whatever sunrise is on the weather app, you guys got interestint birds that we dont have here in america what a treat to watch this.
Great bird dog! I remember watching a PBS TV show years ago called 'Hunting with Hank' which was about field bird hunting, and Hank was the bird-dog. He was a wonder to watch.
You are a gem mate 💎 Thanks for sharing your experiences. Gave it a crack a few years ago in NZ, spoiled there. Can't wait to give it a good go here in my home state.
Beautiful peace ABH and I really hope duck hunting prospers, we all know what will happen otherwise You will have to let us know what the salt ducks taste like!!
Awesome Vid mate Those Mountain Ducks are great looking birds we have a pair that have been coming to the farm for years they breed raise their young and fly away to who knows where .
awesome videos as usual mate, it great to see you putting up new diverse hunting options in Aus. can I suggest an other pig hunting video with perhaps a meat testing insight ? cheers bud
Cracker video mate. Winged game are a different thing eh? Bagging some magpie geese up here in NT is a very social thing compared to chasing pigs for sport. Im so glad you had an awesome time, the guys you hunt with made it even better.
Excellent work mate, pretty sure those grey/green shrubs you were hiding behind in the salt are salt bush, which is a good bush tucker plant, I've got a small one growing in my back yard now, looking forward to incorporating it into my wild game cooking 😁
It’s only hunters in Northern Territory (northern tropical side of Aus) that have a chance of encountering crocs and it would be a serious threat for goose hunters up there in the swamps. For the rest of Aus it’s not threat, too cold for them elsewhere. Snakes are the main threat all over
Well if they don't have a look at the geese numbers outa control dpi had test crops in well all wiped out gas guns are a joke I hunted ducks for years never had a problem now the net is here look at all the crap that has happened if it is stopped well black market will kick in and bet ya arse one will see 10 times lost got to have a balance.
Or you could hold your nerve.. no laws have changed yet, and the unions aka the primary Labour Party base are up in arms about it. Plus the sham “inquiry” has added a racial/indigenous bent to their recommendations at a key moment in Aus political history with the voice referendum coming up. So sorry.. I’m not interested in your emotional comment.. I’ll never stop holding the line.
@AussieBushHarvest good on you! If I read between the lines it's not that just about staying positive, but I feel you're using your social status to get stuff done in the background to get the job done!
@@AussieBushHarvest only if the Labrador don't come back because of the big fish. Your mate waded out in murky water! no no no I got chills and have ran into too many of the fish with sharp teeth.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with wild and organic food, but the difference between indigenous hunters in our country and modern hunters is the use of shotguns. The cruel and unnecessary suffering of these animals cannot be denied. There’s also the issue of lead pollution in the wetlands, noise pollution frightening all forms of wildlife and disrupting the harmony and flow of nature. Aboriginal hunters used unobtrusive hand signals, spears were their weapons, not the modern shotgun. Aboriginal people have lived on this land for some 65,000 odd years. They understood the land, respected each and every creature big and small, and their relationship to the land itself was sacred. They left no negative impact, no pollution, no destruction; in a little over 250 years modern humans have brought our planet to the brink of no return. They survived 65,000 years on this earth and we’ll be lucky as a human race to survive 500. Whilst I respect your emphasis on responsibility and the encouragement of seeking organic and sustainable food, I don’t think we can or should ever compare modern hunting to the finely tuned and symbiotic methodology of ancient indigenous Australians. We have so much to learn from their practices, not only in the area of hunting but also in the management of this vast and arid land. They knew how to work WITH fire, rather than fighting it when it raged out of control. I’d genuinely be interested to hear what indigenous groups think of modern duck hunting. Would they consider it ethical, or best practice? There’s so much suffering in this world, and it hurts to see more inflicted without need.
That long expression you’ve made about aboriginal culture is all well and good, but you started by making false and emotive statements. Lead hasn’t been used in any duck hunting for decades, all the worlds waterfowl hunters came to this conclusion a long time ago. Secondly.. how on earth is using a quick blast from a shotgun more cruel than indigenous Australians bashing them to death with sticks and rocks? Also saying indigenous Australians had no negative impact.. they brought all species of megafauna on the Aus continent to extinction through over hunting. Your idea that indigenous hunting was purely symbiotic and modern hunting isn’t it complete garbage. The bad mistakes of early pioneers and colonists are undeniable eg over exploitation and introducing non native predators.. modern hunting seasons have literally been the saviour of species, in the US and Europe, hunters have been the primary drivers behind habitat protection and restoration. In Australia, Duck hunters via Field & Game are literally the only reason wetlands in the south east are protected. Anyway.. thanks for stopping by.. I still wonder though, if you find hunting ducks distasteful, why did you look up a hunting video to watch?
I have to say you are very well spoken and a great representation for all hunters and hunting in general. Keep up the great times and keep those times coming 🤙

Fantastic video mate.
You do all duck hunters a great service by showing the public how its done, ethically/responsibly.
Amazing job mate keep it up.
Once again Profty a genuine and down to earth show of the reasons and appreciation of the environment that Hunters have. Keep em coming Brother.
As a rice farmer in NSW, I’m about to get busy with many, many ducks. If it wasn’t for the coof, I’d have you here in a heartbeat.

It was interesting to see your version of coastal duck hunting. You looked like you bundled up. It gets chilly in Australia?

What shotgun are you using
Excellent work mate, pretty sure those grey/green shrubs you were hiding behind in the salt are salt bush, which is a good bush tucker plant, I've got a small one growing in my back yard now, looking forward to incorporating it into my wild game cooking 😁
Was the last spot private property or public land as well.
Legend. That is all.
60 thousand years... which means the indigenous in Australia saw horse sized ducks.
Nice one
What rifle are you using mate?
Not a rifle man those are shotguns, 12 gauge under overs
Great video fellows what brand off shells u using and what size shot
Remington steel no3s is what i used but i haven't had the chance to check out a variety
Hey mate can tell what duck caller u were using at the start of the video cheers
Fowl Talkers black duck caller
Profty, as a New South Welshman, what permits/licences do I need to legally cross the border into Vic to hunt?
You just need the same as Victorians, the GMA website explains it all
@@AussieBushHarvest Thanks. Congrats on the duck haul.
Serious question.. American duck hunter here.. are y’all worried about crocodiles while duck hunting in Australia?
It’s only hunters in Northern Territory (northern tropical side of Aus) that have a chance of encountering crocs and it would be a serious threat for goose hunters up there in the swamps. For the rest of Aus it’s not threat, too cold for them elsewhere. Snakes are the main threat all over
Looks like westerport
where is there Binella lake ?
What season is duck season in NSW
NSW has no duck season, but permits are issued to cull them if they’re impacting agriculture, especially rice farms
Did u end up making a 2021 red stag roar video
Noice!!!
Can u do a day pack video of what u take
Well if they don't have a look at the geese numbers outa control dpi had test crops in well all wiped out gas guns are a joke I hunted ducks for years never had a problem now the net is here look at all the crap that has happened if it is stopped well black market will kick in and bet ya arse one will see 10 times lost got to have a balance.

All good till you went into the salt water. You can keep that shit, or get me a boat.
No need for wet feet if you have a Labrador
