It's absolutely amazing seeing the Ghostbusters story is being kept alive with Respect
this made me so happy! I was 8 when i watched Ghostbusters back in 1984 at the movies. Afterlife was an amazing follow up movie. I already have my tickets for the latest installment that comes out in six days, not that i am counting! I hope they come out with a new video game too. I still have my original Commodore 64 Ghostbusters floppy disk!
I wasn't able to see it till it arrived on videotape and I was amazed and mad. Why did no one take me to the movies to see it 🤣 I was hooked on it. I finally was old enough to see the 2nd one with a group of kids from the neighborhood and we liked it but it just didn't live up to the original. Afterlife was movie gold.

I don't think it was a case of lazy writing. I think Sony has a formula they are sticking to. Kind of like Marvel they give the director and writers the keys to car to go down the block and right back.

Ghostbusters was an 80’s style comedy. Movies like Beverly Hills Cop. Police Academy. 80’s comedies were still grounded in some seriousness. Todays comedies think they have to be talking a joke every five seconds. There’s no time to breathe.
I dig what your saying, those 80's comedies were hilarious. Alot of them had a good blend of action drama and comedy. That trip to the comedy section at the video store was a magical time.

This will be huge - they were all good in the last one of new cast additions but, McKenna Grace has proved herself to be that something special that is perfect fit for Ghostbusters and her role that you just instantly now believe her to be Egon Spenglers granddaughter. In essence a lot of that movies success rode on her ability to get the tone right and wow heck she certainly did. And now well at time of making this, from that child star to a definite teenage growth. She has definitely endeared herself to Ghostbusters fans everywhere, especially even extra after doing videos like this. Roll on release date!
The whole video was awsome, but I absolutely, and especially, loved the Slimer thet was in the mix as well! I didn't even spot him til the very end, and then watched the video again to aee what I had missed the first time. Lol.

It was supposed to come out for Christmas 2023 but the writers union strike pushed the release date back.
Yeah, Christmas was gonna be a prefect release date for it but February or March it is 🤣

🤣🤣🤣They had to, it's impossible to shoot on NYC streets anymore. Everyone has the phone out. Plus the Firehouse is still in service. It's impossible to shoot there but you ain't lying about the rent 🤣
@@MainOneCollector I went there in 2019. It was some kind of ladder store. Plus I imagine they would have to pay for permissons, etc. Cheaper to build the whole thing on set with light materials😄.

Honestly, she already is better than a lot of adults working at the moment. She just needs to maintain it. The fact that she is in that wig shows she has less ego than the vast majority of rising stars. I could see her having a career as long as that of Meryl Streep so long as she has good people around her to keep her feet on the ground

I loved afterlife and I thought McKenna was one of the best parts of the movie her deadpan jokes exactly like egon...
See we werent against women we expected a story well written with love and stars who really loved Ghostbusters wanted to see the franchise flourish and this girl seems to have no ego not attacking the fans and seems genuine and humble....
You write female characters well and without the hate to fans and you get Afterlife old and new fans buzzing for the new film....

During the conversation Dr Raymond Stanz goes through what happened between them & her grandfather, Egon Spengler, saying they lost the fire house which is a Starbucks now!

It's not synced, the original song she was lip singing had a copyright on it. So I thought the Lisa Loeb song was funny enough for the clip.
The rumors said Kristan Wiig is a big fan of the series and she was pissed what they did. I heard she was openly against a lot of what they did with 2016. I’m ok bringing her back. If she loves GB let her and only her redeem herself.
The 2016 wasn't a Masterpiece but it had it's funny moments. I personally liked it. The producers and studio should have established it as a separate universe and not a reboot. It probably would have been accepted better by the community.
And any issues with it wasn't the cast. I adore Kristen and McKenna.

Your adaption was good. I just wanted to see the original also. My daughter is really existed about this film and thanks to her character, and Finn Wolfgard, this franchise has become a new father daughter thing.
