You know, from a music standpoint, i love how that soft chime rhythm in the background was carried over to the Antenna Cradle music in the N64 game. AND NOBODY EVER NOTICES THAT BUT ME XD
This is so true. Also, you can hear similarities to the music in the background when Bond and Alec are sneaking into the gas facility and the facility level in the N64 game.
You're not the only one! Till this day, a friend of mine doesn't believe me when I tell him this is the N64 theme. No matter how much I played both for him.
Its actually in a lot of the tracks in the goldeneye film and game. The sound you talk about is a drum symbol from an old music machine with a very low pitch.
It’s clear that this was a major inspiration for the N64 track in general. Weirdly though, the song “Fuse” from Xenogears seems to be even _more_ heavily inspired by this. Its intro is essentially a verbatim recreation of the intro here. 0.o
loved this entire score. something different that we have not heard before or after Goldeneye. Another reason why it sets it apart as one of the best Bond flicks.
The quotes in the game do set out how Alec felt about the situations "Always loyal to the mission and never to your friends!" Looking at that now it's actually very powerful against James Bond since 006 is the only remote friend Bond has threw out the series it show's that they were loyal to each other Alec had more Loyalty in his friends then the mission while for Bond it's the other way around. Alec is one of the best Bond villains if looking into emotional point of view.
They are actually quite a few repeat directors in the Bond franchise. Martin Campbell had Goldeneye and Casino Royale. Sam Mendes did Skyfall and Spectre. Terrence Young did three: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Thunderball. Lewis Gilbert had 3 with You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Moonraker. Guy Hamilton had 4 with Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, and the Man With The Golden Gun. And of course John Glenn who did the most by doing five in a row: For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to A Kill, The Living Daylights, and License to Kill.
Whenever im writing an essay thats due in soon or doing an online test, I play this song, It makes me feel like boris trying to break Natalya's codes, and I swear it makes me type about a million times faster aha.
The state of mind while playing N64 Cradle. And you managed to get to the ladder. With a sloppy stick on 007 difficulty and horrible lag. Half is luck, rest is fate 😂😂
“It wasn't God who gave me this face! It was you, setting the timers for three minutes instead of six.” “Am I supposed to feel sorry for you?” “No. You were supposed to die for me.” “And, by the way, I did think about asking you to join my little scheme but somehow I knew, 007's loyalty was always to the mission, never to his friend.”
In what way is the most radical musical departure of the series “a bit meh for a bond film”? This unique blend of electronic, industrial, and occasional orchestral arrangements just screams, “007 is ready for the 90’s!” You must find everything “meh,” so who are you to judge the end result of this soundtrack as “sad”? Not to mention, you immediately followed that up with “This was good though” when newsflash, this is part of the soundtrack. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
Not only is this not even a contest to see which one is “better,” this is not even a “remix,” but an extended version of a musical cue from the film. This is the original, just looped for six minutes, so you’re calling the original “terrible.”
It's always nice finding out there are other people that really enjoyed some obscure musical piece from a movie and that I'm not a crazy person.
It's everyone else that's crazy not to appreciate these gems.
@@jeanderbarfacts
By far one of the greatest final battles in the series.
David Kohout 006 was out of ammunition. Typical Bond style.
I didn’t love the soundtrack overall, but this was greatness to go along with such a great faceoff between 007 and 006
Dare I say-the greatest
@@kenalier This track stands out in the film score for me,it sounds almost like something John Williams would compose
Same director as Casino Royal if I'm not mistaken? Both movies my favourite of the bonds

I heard it too
Alpha 1 to gunship, Alpha 1 to gunship!

Best.....Bond....Music...EVER!
When I listen to it I feel an irrepressible need to run. This should be played if you have to hurry to get the next bus to work.
Quantum of Solace's "Time to Get Out" is what I play when I'm in that sort of situation, haha.
Love the fact that its not just about destroying the Goldeneye , it's about two best mates at war with each other lol

Tragic villains are the most powerful
1:20 You all came for this.
You're not wrong
Too right
"For England, James?"
"No, for me."
"You know, James? I was always better."
For England, james
Perfect its soooo badass
Fantastic soundtrack to a fantastic film
This is by far one of the best bond films, the director made two great bond movies, goldeneye, and casino Royale

And someone most definitely was at the bottom screaming NOOOO

I do agree with you because it's the first time the Bond series has looked into these kind of situations concerning people close to 007 :)
Amazing!!! thanks a lot!!
Classic film score for a classic Bond film!
Oh, Boris, you weren't as invincible as you said you were.
Totally Vincible.
REALLY COLD ❄️❄️❄️ !!!
Perfect!
I AM INVINCIBLE!!!
''It's overAlec,I have the high ground!''
With one hand! While the other one is madly clicking an explosive pen! You daredevil, you....
Great! Too bad there's no way to listen the part that starts to the final battle to the jump to the helicopter when the antenna explodes. Dx
Norinco type 56 underfolders…..iconic
epic

There's a map in BF4 with pretty much the exact same satellite from this movie
I SAID THAT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SAW THE LEVEL AND SAID....oh that's goldeneye. and my friends said no its a new level. -___________-
Ian Snuffleupagus The satellite from the movie is actually the Arecibo observatory in Puerto Rico.
The soundtrack my Eric Serra was a bit meh for a bond film sadly. This was good though

Best Bond vilain behind Silva
I like Sanchez in Licence to Kill.
Alec was the hero.
What is this called on the actual sountrack? I could never find it.
Run, Shoot, And Jump
Hahaha, I'm watching the Halo 4 countdown to this, it's very fitting!
Goldeneye is on channel G4 right now actually
It was personal when Bond went to kill Blofeld in Diamonds are forever, and that was shit.
No, it wasn’t “shit.”
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 After all that Blofeld had done to the world I would do exactly the same if I were Bond
@kuribayashi84 THAT's bad
No, it’s not. It’s convenient for those who want to hear that specific section of the cue cleanly looped.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699oh yes it is. Not even as it is appear in the film
@MrWweDestiny No...for me.
007 no por mí
Meh, basically thats "Run, Shoot, Jump" repeated over, over and OVER again.
You’re not legally allowed to say “Meh.” The video did as advertised: It extended the final battle cue for six minutes with a clean loop.
