  • Sand Hollow
Sand Hollow is one of America’s best desert golf destinations and a great anchor for any trip in the region. St. George is two hours from Las Vegas, and one hour from golf-rich Mesquite, Nevada and also has its own small regional airport. Sand Hollow is a beautiful golf resort with an amazing championship course, plus a family/new golfer-friendly Links course and a par 3 course. Sand Hollow is the reason why TheBossGolfs decided on this trip to Utah and the course surpassed my expectations. The course which is known for its epic cliff edge holes which are on the back nine also has a very good front nine. The entire course has great views of stunning mountain ranges. The fairways are generous in true resort fashion and the bunkers are filled with red sand. The conditions are phenomenal with amazing pure greens. The back nine lives up to the hype, and its popular picturesque holes are even more exhilarating in person. This resort course is not a pushover considering that the front nine plays more like a traditional dessert course, and the back nine subjects the player to losing balls off the cliffs or into rocky terrain.
The Ledges of St. George Golf Club
The Ledges is a very nice straightforward course in St. George, Utah, and a fine addition to any golf trip. Designed by Matt Dye, nephew of famed architect Pete Dye, the Ledges is a good course that offers several enjoyable golf holes. The best stretches of golf are the climb up and down a mountainous portion of the course. The course has very great views surrounding it, especially once you reach the back nine. When in St. George definitely consider adding The Ledges to your golf trip.
Entrada at Snow Canyon County Club
Widely considered one of the best courses in St. George, Entrada is a private course that offers limited tee times for the guests of a few condo properties. Set in a beautiful residential community, Entrada is a beautiful course that offers a variety of unique terrains of desert golf.
Initially designed by Johnny Miller, the course closed for two years for a seven-million-dollar renovation. by personal favorite David McLay Kidd. The course is fun and requires a wide range of shots to score well and has stunning surrounding views. Most importantly the course is very fun to play and makes good use of the terrain. One of the most unique stretches is a stretch of holes routed through black lava rocks, it is stunning to see the contrast between black rock and emerald fairways. Overall, the course is beautiful and fun, with outstanding conditions.
    Wolf Creek
Wolf Creek is located in Mesquite, Nevada, between Las Vegas and St. George, Utah, making it a perfect addition to a Las Vegas trip. Traveling to the St. George area can be a fun drive or, like the theBossGolfs, a flight to Las Vegas and a short drive to St. George. The Boss first played Wolf Creek eight years ago and wondered if, after years of pursuing and playing some of the finest courses would, Wolf Creek still feel as unique as the original play, and it does. Wolf Creek is visually spectacular. Each hole is routed through its own canyon, which not only amplifies the beauty it also intensifies the challenge. The course features dramatic elevation changes and often requires tee shots into angled fairways with many requiring forced carries when trying to cut corners. The course is far from walkable, and based on the waiver signed before the start, it is barely drivable, so make sure you drive with caution. Wolf Creek should be on every golfer’s required play list, especially when in Vegas.
