Coyote Springs should have made the list. It’s located an hour north of Las Vegas on Rt. 93, literally in the middle of nowhere. It’s a Jack Nicholas signature course that’s set in a peaceful location that was supposed to be the cornerstone for a PGA village. But plans fell through and all that was developed was the magnificent gold course, and it’s reasonably priced too.
One course that is close to Vegas that is gem that no one talks about is Mountain Falls in Pahrump. It was a dog track 15 or 20 years ago but the last several years it is lush and the conditions are amazing even country clubesque. The practice facility is the best anywhere within 100 miles. You can get on it for 65 bucks as a local and it's a 45 minute drive. Half the course mentioned in this video are private or insanely expensive...they might have well as thrown The Wynn course in there and Las Vegas CC if they were going to list high end courses. Best values for the money are Rhodes Ranch, Chimera, and Las Vegas Muni...and of course Las Vegas Paiute which is the golf Mecca of the Las Vegas area.
Las Vegas National is my favorite. It's old school Vegas, and I always sit in Sinatra's seat at the bar after my round. I did play Coyote Springs the last time I was there and it is a very nice round of golf.
If you travel from Las Vegas to Mesquite, halfway there is Coyote Springs. Amazing course. I would put it better than the Paiute courses. Work Creek is a must play....once lol. I played it and the views are incredible, but a bit Mickey Mouse to play regularly. Check out Coyote Springs next time. You wont be disappointed.
Actually they had a rotation for the event and National was one of the early round courses...TPC Summerlin was the final round course. I was there in 1996.
Shadow creek has to be seen to be believed. had the privilege of playing there twice, once was just after the match between Tiger and Phil. one of the greatest golf courses in the world.

I always have issues with "best" golf courses. You can be "best" if you have the money to create pristine conditions. All of those courses green fees are easily $300+. Too me best would equal value. The courses on the list are just luxury courses.
Desert Pines is not in the top 20 courses, let alone top 7. Southern Highlands, Wynn, Rio Secco, Royal Links, Bali Hai, Bears Best, South Shore, Revere, Anthem CC are all better options imo.
reflection bay may be one of the worst golf courses in vegas. The greens have been in shambles for years, no practice facilities, etc and they still charge like its a prime course
@@jacksongatlin5418 it was in the rotation but the final round was at summerlin. They played diffrent courses each round. look at the winning highlights. His last shot is on 18 with water on the left side of the green
shadow creek seems lame. it doesn't look "natural" at all. almost every hole is contoured towards the fairway. its just an amenity for "high rollers," not a top course.
The amount of errors in this video is baffling and desert pines over, coyote springs, revere, southern highlands is just plain stupid. Educate yourself next time.

Amazing and astute advice, "if you want to play golf, be sure to check in with the club to make be sure they are available"

Maybe it was too far out of Vegas to meet your criteria but Wolf Creek is definitely a bucket lister for any golfer.

Great Video! Tiger won his first professional event at Las Vegas National - Not TPC Summerlin btw.
Actually they had a rotation for the event and National was one of the early round courses...TPC Summerlin was the final round course. I was there in 1996.
My favorite course of the three at Paiute is the Wolf course.
Shadow creek has to be seen to be believed. had the privilege of playing there twice, once was just after the match between Tiger and Phil. one of the greatest golf courses in the world.
Cascade and Shadow Creek are also a private course, not open to the public like the other private courses you mentioned.
man southern highlands is easily at 2!!
shadow creek
southern highlands
cascata!

Agreed!
Southern highlands should definitely be on this list
Agree great course, Shadow creek a worthy number 1 loved it.
Southern highlands top 3
Dragonridge is private.
Oh I can’t believe Wolf Creek didn’t make it on your list I wonder why
Because it's not in Las Vegas
…it’s in Mesquite
Not having Southern Highlands is insane.
You showed tpc las vegas when you were talking about summerlin 😂
Yep!!!!!!
Desert Pines is not in the top 20 courses, let alone top 7. Southern Highlands, Wynn, Rio Secco, Royal Links, Bali Hai, Bears Best, South Shore, Revere, Anthem CC are all better options imo.
Clearly this guy has no idea. Tiger first win at TPC. 😆😆😆
@@faithjay8393 shadow, cascata, so hi, summit are the real biz.
Royal links closed never got to play it. Went to book it in April sounds like they were going to put homes on it
Thank u-
southern highlands best in vegas

Wrong

Lol no it was not, it was 18 at Vegas National. I’ve played both courses tens of times. At least read the link next time.

Desert Pines, no driving range...
Those pictures were not of TPC summerlin fyi
Yep...that was TPC Las Vegas. I know, I've played them both.
TPC summer line is a private course. TPC Vegas is public, not the same course... Take it off your list.
Dragon ridge is private, so take it off your list.
Shadow Creek 4:41
Reflection bay is a joke. Southern highlands blows RB out of the water tenfold
Wasre of water if you ask me
shadow creek seems lame. it doesn't look "natural" at all. almost every hole is contoured towards the fairway. its just an amenity for "high rollers," not a top course.
#7 is private
DESERT PINES is the best course for the price… it’s a DYEabolical course 😂
lmfao desert pines
No more golf vegas---- wouldn't you rather drink water not create lawns in a desert
