I was approved for this today by second obgyn . I was denied by the first obgyn due to my age , despite being over 21 and informed about the permanent/irreversible of the Procedure. Lucky for me the second OB was more respectful of my autonomy and didn’t practice Paternalism.
Did you end up having it done? My new doc has approved me for it as well and I was wondering how your experience was? I'm 23 so I'm amazed she agreed with me but so excited and thankful she did.
@@jaicilamcsparin3037 yes , I got in April. It wasn’t bad for me. Just took two Tylenol post op. Felt almost back to normal after 4 days. I took 1 week off work and took it easy. I post my experience in more detail on sterilization reddit post .
I had a tubal ligation, then ectopic pregnancy, fillopian tube ruptured and I almost bled to death. ER did a n emergency salpingectomy. For 20+ years ive been dealing with sharp stabbing pains on that side. Ive not been back since then. It seems on surgery leads toaore and more. The sharp pains are insane, but i deal.
Hi I just had both tubes removed because I do not want to get pregnant. I am about 2 weeks post surgery. I feel ok. I think I’m ovulating however and my ovulation pain is terrible. You still have periods and ovulate of course. I haven’t had my first period yet this month so we will see how that goes when it comes. The surgery itself went fine. The worst part was I got sick from anesthesia the day of aside from that I’m doing ok. I’m a bit constipated following surgery still to this day but nothing else major has occurred. No menopausal issues .
I’m forty and have seven children. I know that my mother was fertile until forty six and had my baby sister than. I do not want anymore babies so I had my tubes removed. Post op day three and feeling like shit.

Is anyone post salpingectomy; in menopausal symptoms or thyroid issues?
