Mario cart snes came to mind, but obviously Wooten did an amazing job putting together such a good song with an idea that simple. He has a way of making his techniques look easy to play because he masters them so well.
Definitely agree it is not as hard as it looks to get the main tune going and then really fun to build on it. I'm hoping to work out the whole thing at some point.
@Izajmusicman Well when you really think about the movements of each hand, each part (the tapping and the fretting) are both relatively easy. It's the "putting it all together" part that could be hard.
I learnt his rendition of norwegian wood where he uses this tapping thing, and for just learning the technique, crank up the treble and gain and it will make it alot easier. the just slowly change your levels to what sounds good as you get better.
the only easy thing is the main theme, it gets more difficult but trust me practice it for a day or two and ull have the main basis, its really fun to improve on too!

I play the bass too and I know something that Victor never understood!!! Bass was no made to show off with Marcus and Stanley, but to emphasize the magic of the other musicians who rarely accept to play with him ! I would never play with that kind of guys
that sounds like something i would play... i dont know what other people call it but i call that a duble bass line... and like he said that is real easy to play..................compared to eddie van halen but i can play a few parts on an electric guitar from eruption... KEEP IT UP VICTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm gonna practice this... Maybe I can play it at MusicFest next year! That'd be real impressive. Or I could play A Chick From Corea with another guy I know, that'd be real awesome too...

does he wear finger tips? as in like white stuff to like.. cap his fingers for easier playing.. but idk his fingers look really weird thats why i'm asking.
I know the feeling :P Well, i'm not a better player, but jam sessions take weird and interesting turns. It somehow has a positive influence on creativity. But normally, I'd rather get high from a good groove :P
