    I absolutely love your channel. The problem I am having is trying to buy the paints From Deep Deep Light. I can’t get the colors you use in individual pans. I can’t afford to buy several different sets to get the colors you used today or from other videos. I try matching to what I own but is there an easier way? Maybe you could suggest alternate colors that are close in color? Deep Deep Light doesn’t offer the pigment numbers on green woodpecker or prickly pear. Their Caput Mortuum is pr101 which can be synthetic red oxide, so that’s a nice alternative. That’s the frustration with handmade watercolors. They are very expensive, trendy, and hard to get pigment colors. And if you run out they may not have it again. I’ve had some difficulties with handmade paints. Am I the only one that feels like this? And what did you all do about it? It would be nice to use what you use. And I’m probably making it more difficult than it is.🤣Thanks.

    I really want to try this one, Rae! Would Raw Umber Violet by Daniel Smith be a good substitute for Prickly Pear? It doesn't have the same pigments, but looks like it might work. Thanks.

      @helencampbell  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi Eileen. I’m afraid I don’t know raw umber Violet by Daniel Smith, but you certainly give it a try. See how it shows up when you add lots of water and if it’s heavily granulating then it might look really good anyway.

    If I would Tell you that I want to buy 3- absolute maximum 4- watercolour paints from deepdeeplight, with focus of botanical and flower painting, which colours would you personally choose? 😅😊
    Of course PRICKLEY PEAR 🍐 😅
    But which colours additionally? Maybe one natural looking green for the flower stems, blades of grass and the greenery in general-
    Then a nice colour for the petals, or maybe two, if I would take 4 watercolour paints 😅
    Or Do you See it completely different? Which are your 3 (-4 😂) deepdeeplight watercolour paints you choose ? 🤔
    (You would really help me soo much with your honest opinion!)

    • @helencampbell
      @helencampbell  2 месяца назад

      Ooh there are so many lovely ones, but I really like Green woodpecker for a lovely fresh green colour, prickly pair, obviously, I really like roses ashes for a muted purply pink tone, and also something like Mayan which is a lovely red tone, but transparent or if you want something really fancy then it’s rutas dream. If you do decide to treat yourself, please make sure that you use the code to get 10% off. X
