Well I am glad I saw this. I have a whole set that I haven’t used. I got them right out and am blown away by the vibrancy and how easy they blend. Thanks for reminding me to use them and not be scared of them. Lol

I love your Inktense pencil videos! You have so much information to share, and inspire me every time! I thought the glazing at the end was particularly useful. Watercolor painting is a never ending learning experience for me. I have done glazing on many of my projects and love what it does.

What a beautiful poppy. I love Inktense pencils. They are so much fun. I’ll try to do this one when I can, as I love poppies too. But my husband was taken back into hospital this morning and so I’ll be tied up with visits until he comes home. Hopefully not too long. Thank you for another great tutorial. - Dawn🌅🧡🧡

How very pretty Rae!! I do have some Rembrandt Aquarelle Watercolour Pencils, so will definitely be painting this one. Am sure they'll give a similar result. Saw Poppies at our local nursery & I adore their delicate petals! Thankyou always! Terry Lee 💖💜🌿🍃

Beautiful!! Had these for years and used maybe once. I use watercolor more than pencil and now I have a way I will actually use them . I never understood how you got them to look like paints so mixing them on the paint palette makes sense now.

Forgot to add that I love the brushes. Hold a lot of h20 and pigment and get into the corners nicely.

    • @helencampbell

Hi. It’s carandache You can use a chopping board In told they work in a similar way

I use a cutting board, however, make sure there is a texture to it. If it's completely smooth, I wouldn't think it would work as well. A rough, textured surface makes it easy to scribble the color out, then you can add water as Rae shows in her tutorial.
