- Bandaid Fix for the 2016 Nissan Murano Bluetooth Connection Problem
There's a problem with the navigation program. What you can do for a quick fix is just reboot the navigation (NissanConnect Application).
1. Turn the audio off by pushing in the volume knob. It should bring you back to the map screen and it'll say audio off on the top left.
2. After that hold down the menu button and turn the volume knob left and right a few times.
3. It will then bring you to a Diagnostics menu with two options . Don't select either option. Just press the soft back button on the top left of the screen.
4. After you do that, the whole thing will reboot and your Bluetooth will start working again.

Hi there I have a Nissan Altima not sure if you could help me but some how the audio system is muted? I can hear music fine it’s just when people call me they can’t hear me. Its not the phone it’s the actual audio system. I couldn’t find anything in the owners manual either. Thanks

I just found this in 2022 and, after YEARS of driving my 2017 Murano and randomly having the Bluetooth not connect, this little trick worked. I’ve tried so many things over the yrs! Thank you for this!

Thanks a lot. The screen on my 2015 Murano was either randomly self-pressing various functions and trying to connect to a phone or was not responsive to touches at all. Followed the steps - problem solved. It's all back to normal now. Btw, disconnecting the battery or holding the volume and tune buttons did not do anything.

Wow that totally work. I think the problem occurs when you turn off the car while connected to your phone. Then turn off Bluetooth on your phone. But could be wrong.

I agree that the problems only start happening when you use your automatic starter. Had no problems all summer. And it’s not just Bluetooth! My satellite radio resets itself almost daily and I lose all my saved songs and artists. Not the biggest deal, but annoying when you pay for all these additional options. Thanks for the reset tip though.
