There is an intermittent issue with the 2017 Nissan Rogue (as well as many other Nissan years/models) where the vehicle does not connect to your paired Bluetooth device. On the occasions when this happens, the screen displays "No Bluetooth Device Is Connected" and the whole Bluetooth system is frozen... you cannot manually connect, you cannot delete connected devices, you cannot pair new devices and frankly you cannot do anything related to the Bluetooth settings within the menus. I have figured out a quick and simple workaround that will allow your vehicle to connect to your Bluetooth device.
To resolve the immediate issue, press and hold the power button until the screen goes blank and then let go. The system will reboot, displaying a Nissan logo, and once the reboot is complete, the system will automatically connect to your paired Bluetooth device.

Replying here for visibility. I have a 2014 rogue but this didn't work for me. Here's what worked for me. Pull the fuse labeled 'audio' in the fuse panel by the driver's door, turn the car on with the fuse removed, turn the car off, reinsert the fuse, turn the car on and it shouod reset. Hope this helps someone

This fix was the one. I've been dealing with this issue for ages with my 2023 nissan rogue and this was the only thing that worked.
Worked for my 2018 Rogue! My car stopped syncing with my Bluetooth and said it failed with a warning I’d never seen before. When I got home and restarted my phone and car it still wasn’t working, and the Connections tab wasn’t even loading. Thank you!!

I have a 2020 Nissan Rogue and I can confirm this works for it! You are a genius, thank you for figuring this out, I was having a massive issue where it would connect but then immediately disconnect so it wouldn’t even really try for it. I’ve come across this type of fix before. But unfortunately my Nissan Sentra, when you hold the power button down it does not reboot the audio system. So after about four years I am still looking for a fix that works with my particular car
Yes! Finally! I never once thought to hold the power button for a hard reboot of the hud. Was finally able to delete and reconnect my phone! Awesome dude. Thanks for this. Mornings aren’t right without the music.

It is SOOOOOO stupid that it was that simple. Thanks bro, I wasn't having this EXACT problem, but it wouldn't let me connect at all. It kept trying and saying couldn't connect. I knew it wasn't me phone because my smart watch was connecting just fine. This fixed it tho. So this def fixes more than one Bluetooth problem.
This fix worked - thank you. I have lost count of the amount of times paired my iPhone XS Max and unpaired it and tried it again. Hopefully I don’t have to press the power button too much and it should now just work.

I did that, and it didn't work. I did it 3 times. I'll just keep deleting my bluetooth from my Rogue and adding it again. It works. You're so right; it does happen when I remote start my Rogue. Wow!
My 2019 suddenly had this problem. I disconnected the Bluetooth, big mistake. Then I had 2 problems to fix. The reboot got things rolling. I also suspect a RUclips video and a android auto bug came together in a perfect audio shit storm. I owe you one.

Simple solution is to change the language to one you know then connect the Bluetooth and then change the settings back to your initial language 😊

Thanks for this video. I had this happen to my 2016 Rogue. I literally parked for 15 minutes came back to start to leave and it’s like the whole navigation system went out. Couldn’t understand what happened. Then after turning the car off and on again it eventually started up again normally. The radio and everything worked again. Ironically refuse to trade my car in for a “new car/car note” and this happened for the first time. At least I know to try this if it happens again.
I just got a 2019 Maxima and it was working just fine and the same thing happened this morning and I was so frustrated brother this works however I'm going to go to Nissan and I'm going to tell them to issue and see if they can fix it because when it's out of warranty it's going to be a issue. I will update you guys what they say to me but thank you brother because it worked you awesome thank you so much soon as I find out more from them I will be back promise.

I have a Nissan rogue 2016.. I did what u say at the video but I can't listen to the music it plays at my phone but no in the car. I can't hear it. But I'm able to make call through my car
That sounds to me like a Bluetooth setting in your phone. Go into the Bluetooth settings and select your car from the list and make sure it's enabled for both calls and audio, not just calls.

When I hold the power button down nothing happens. I don't have navigation. Would that make a difference?
It's possible that this may not work for your specific vehicle.
Instead of the power switch. Go to Bluetooth settings and pick replace phone. Once it's in pair mode try and reconnect your phone. The power button didn't work for me either. So I just played around with it and this worked for me. I have a Rogue 2017

Thank you for reminding this .Actually, my Nissan rouge sport 2021 has this problem and another one as well when the screen went of completely black with audio on . Strange for the new car. . Pressing the power and tune - scroll button at the same time for approx 15-17 sec will reboot the system .
