  • Many Veterans when starting a business will type into the search engines, "Does the VA provide loan or grant money to veterans to start their own business?" The reality is the VA doesn't provide any loans for anything. They don't even give loans for the VA home loan. All they do is provide a guarantee, A CO- Signer necessarily. There are grants you can find to help you start a business. I'm going to share a couple ways to get subsidies in this video. Leave a comment, and I'll share the specifics.
Empowering military veterans, servicemen and woman (Firefighters and Police officers) on how start side businesses that allow them to protect, provide and prosper financially outside of a 9 to 5.

Ran across your channel, seeking info on starting a business as a disabled veteran. I am 70% rated for PTSD. Still trying to cope with the ptsd and get back to a normal or more normal life. I love the idea of your channel and thank you for the info you put out.

SBA 504, and SBA 7a are good areas to start, but those generally require 2-3 years of business and personal tax returns, plus other paperwork that I don't have space to note here. I understand that the VA is NOT a bank. But do they secure the loan as with VA home loans?

You must prove you do not need the loan, in order to get the loan.

If you go through SBA,SCORE,Veterans, Minority programs etc....
It's the same set of rules as a Regular Bank.
500 or better credit score, Some assets, collateral, Co-signor etc..
Only difference is they lower or wave the origination fees.
If you do not have the above, they cannot help you.
If you go into the millions dollars, they have total mind melt down.
There no grants, unless you are a Non-Profit entity.
Mentor is usually a half hour to an hour talk about your project.
There classes are good not great, but you do get allot of info, but when it comes to helping you with funds, good luck.

Any business loan for current active military? It seems like there are a lot of resources for veterans and reserve/guard but not a lot of active duty.

Lovely Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Bonincoln Wordless Authority (Have a quick look on google can't remember the place now)? It is a good one of a kind product for getting finance for your business minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend Sam after many years got amazing results with it.
