The way silco yells for jinx to not listen to vi. Because Silco knows her. He knew what bringing those things up would do to her mental state and saw it was causing an episode for her. Vi didn't know her like she used to and had no idea about these episodes. She continuously and unintentionally causes chaos around her by making the wrong choices
@selenaschmidt9681 while true, y'all are forgetting that she suffered with these demons all these years while WITH Silco. Telling a broken girl she's perfect and not helping her let go of the guilt that fractured her mind in the first place is toxic. Vi was only trying to remind her of the people that loved her. Milo and Claggor too. Milo was an insecure asshole, but you all realize every member of that crew has put themselves in the path of her and danger...right? They were dumb kids, but love was there. Silco allowed the poison in her mind to fester, which is why their memories hurt. Vi could've helped her forgive herself, as she had already forgiven her
I don’t think he would have given her up. Especially after his words next to the gander statue, when Jayce asked him to give up Jinx is when he realized why Vander led the underground the way he did. I love the character of Silco, he did what he thought would free the city, regardless of the cruelty. And even if he only saw Jinx as a pawn in the beginning he actually grew to love her, he saw himself in her and that’s why he wanted her to kill Powder and be stronger and better. I think that Silco really loved Jinx and didn’t want to lose her, he would’ve never given up his daughter.
He finally understood Vander. Everything he had done. He would have given up the town for the children, just as Silco for Jinx. Jinx couldn't understand the context, hadn't seen or heard the terms of Topside, and hadn't understood that Silco had never meant to give up on her, but had admitted his mistakes, in front of his brother, even if it was too late...
Also, when he was shot, he knew it was ower... Why would he lie, and make his killer feel less guilty, if not because, she was his family, and he truly loved her?
He never saw her as a pawn because he and vander were really close friends with jinx’s mother and in one of the scenes she says that they all have to raise their children together
I agree with this now more than ever because when season 1 first came out I thought he was going to shoot Jinx, but if you really look at it he was aiming at Vi. He was willing to protect her regardless of the cost
Ya I don't understand why people think silco faking love for jinx... When he clearly doesn't he does love jinx as doughter and want her to be herself. Silco is best character villain cuz he's human
I think it's because Silco initially didn't understand Vander or his actions. Vander was forward looking and willing to pass his hope to the future (the kids/people and their hopes and aspirations). Vander wanted a better way. Silco held onto a bunch of things in the past and dragged Zaun and it's people through the worst of it for what he wanted. Silco nearly sacrificed the future (the people) and his last hope (Jinx), but that's hard to see because it took every single episode to subtly show the split between what he wanted and what he had to lose, and his priorities slowly waning as Vi chipped at his self-control. If not for Vi, he would've sacrificed Jinx without "losing" his daughter, but Vi coming back in the picture meant him losing Jinx, so his priorities changed. That's hard to follow.
Silco is absolutely a terrible father, the relationship between Silco and Jinx is very messed up, and wrong, but their relationship was loving. Bad parenting doesn’t mean it wasnt loving, bad parenting just means it didn’t help.
One cool detail, silco's orange eye never closes throughout all of season 1. Except for when he dies. When he dies his eye finally closes. You can see it better in season 2 episode 1's intro
People need to realise that the word 'villain' just doesnt mean evil. They can be broken people or just pure evil. For Silco he was broken. He did and will do everything to protect powder as a father. He had to be the villain to scare away anyone who tries to hurt her as she's the only one who looks similar to her mother.
Silco may have been a criminal but he had his priorities straight. Sure it wasn't with the best of methods or the most morally right ones but he truly meant well. His death was definitely sad.
Silco and Vander were my absolute favorites in this show and I will stand by that forever, the character arc of Silo learning what it means to be to be a father and Vander turning to using the worse weapon in a moment of desperation to fight what just shows that even after everything their still the same blood, IF ONLY SILCO FOUND THE LETTER 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Although I agree that Jinx needs more people around her who show her love, I won't agree that Vi is acting like a stupid child. Vi tries to trust Jinx. She still sees her little Powder and throughout the whole season she's refusing to realize that Powder is gone. Somewhere in the end of S1 she gives up...only to gain her hope again in S2 when Jinx shows up with [SPOILER] news about Vander. Vi never entirely gives up on trying to trust Jinx. But she doesn't understand her mental health either. She seems only to worsen Jinx's hallucinations because she doesn't really grasp her trauma. Jinx is the one, who doesn't know how to trust, she easily believes that Silco would sacrifice her, despite the affection and love he showed her. She's the one who really struggles with trust issues, not Vi.
People hates Silco because of his lying actions but the thing is, he never lied. He simply pulled strings that was in his favor. He had been like that for a long time. He never lied about anything. Silco is evil but his love to Jinx as like Father And Daughter, that one is the truest version of himself that he was meant to be. Someone who cared, someone who understood Jinx's Pain because they were both left behind to die. Vander nearly killed Silco which left a huge scar on his eye and heart. Jinx got left behind and abandoned by Vi. Silco lost everything and Jinx lost everything. Silco became the Father Jinx needed, despite it being an unhealthy bond. It was where Jinx felt safe and truly could escape the voices in her head. If that isn't proof enough, the ending of Arcane. Jinx had Silco to guide her to save herself, though Jinx was confused at the time.
Of course he Lied, he thinks Vi is dead still kept telling Jinx she abandoned her, she knows Vi is back looking For Jinx so he hides that information so he can KILL HER, besides Jinx back. He kepts telling her that no one can love her but him. He is so focused on making Jinx a mini versión of him that never realized that she is her own person and her situation with Vi is different. The beauty of a character that is flawed. Not talking about Jinx here either. Silco obviously has his faults and his evil moments but they're human too. The guy made Jinx into what she is but did it because he thought that was the best version of her, keeping the Powder side in the dark but being unburdened by her mistakes. He manipulated Jinx into thinking VI had abandoned her but took up the role of caretaker even if he didn't mean to. If he hadn't placed Jinx in a volatile spot of choosing between her last remaining family member and himself, what would happen then? Who would she side with? Would Vi and Silco come to an uneasy truce for their shared love of Jinx/Powder? Of course then the plot is slightly throttled but it's something to think on.
