you know that appendix joke? about 30 minutes after my siblings showed me this video, my stomach felt off. I thought it was just gastrointestinal discomfort, something I have had several times. it was pretty bad all the next day (July 4th) and I couldn't do anything. My parents took me to the ER, and they gave me a CAT scan, and it turns out I had a ruptured appendix. I'm doing better now, but I just found it humorous that I started experiencing symptoms of appendicitis literally minutes after hearing a joke about it
It was the plot of the Illuminati. They sent micro-bots into your body while you were unaware of it, and the bots were programmed to activate at that joke. They slowly moved to your appendix, and right when that joke happened, they tore a hole in the appendix. The Illuminati is everywhere, man. Be careful.
From a Type 1 Diabetic, this was awesome! This is probably the first sketch I've ever seen about Diabetes that is totally respectful of it and even promotes awareness and knowledge about it! While I've never been in this particular situation, conversations like this do happen and you hit it spot on, really great guys!
I'm a T1D as well, this is great XD Now they should have one covering not asking if you've checked your sugar lately during an argument and allowing us to eat what we decide to eat without lecturing based on their high school level knowledge on diabetes! So glad it wasn't one of those videos that makes people think diabetes is only caused by unhealthy eating!
As a type 1 diabetic, I find this sketch absolutely hilarious. I know that some people think that diseases shouldn't be joked about, but I would be totally miserable if I didn't joke about it sometimes. I'm now on the insulin pump, which is so much nicer than the shots. And here's the thing. People by now should recognize the word diabetes. It's common enough that everybody, even if they don't know the exact details of the disease, should at least know the word. I think this sketch is one of the funniest I've ever seen.
Saying we can't joke about bad things belies the purpose of humor. What is it for if not to soften edges and sweeten bitterness? I won't say that some jokes aren't in bad taste (even if taste is subjective), but no topic should be completely off limits in the proper context (ie. Probanly don't joke about death to a dying person unless you know them enough to know they would be okay with it).

I mean, it’s a great prank but it could go really wrong if the diabetes sufferer suddenly needed their insulin. Just telling them you flushed it down the toilet could cause them to be really worried because insulin is what keeps them alive.

Thanks guys. I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Type-1 2 months ago. I laughed hard at this sketch before I found out I was an insulin addict. Since then, I keep coming back to it, as it's helped me keep my diagnosis in perspective. I just wish I had friends like Matt's, who cared enough to host an intervention with my new "habit"... ;-)
My dad has diabetes, he actually got into the hospital because he had ketoacidosis. He was in IU for 4 days, ever since then he takes insulin every night. This story really isn’t important but I thought I’d share. Thx, Studio C for spreading awareness the only way you could. Love y’all!
I also have type one diabetes it sucks but that was funny I've had it since I was 1 1/2 and I am so glad to be alive because of doctors and my familes and my parents friends who fasted for me to gain enough pounds to do the surgery and obviously I made it through!!
