Hell yeah, been baffling me for ever! "just roost it!" they say. I'm like, "Ok..." May as well said just speak Spanish. If a vid exists of this, show us a link.
I'm a little surprised the GMBN video links at the end weren't for How to Replace your Tires (sorry, Tyres) and Rims. Being sponsored (or rich) must be nice.
"Teach me how to cuttie Teach me-Teach me how to cuttie Teach me how to cuttie Teach me-Teach me how to cuttie Errybody love me Er-Errybudy love me Errybody love me you ain't messin' with my cuttie"
You said me dildo? Am I supposed to cry now? lol anyway, at least you don't fuck your tires up in the gravel, as you do in the asphalt. 30 min doing this on Schwalbe tires and you will get them slick!
The best one is probably made by RaceFace. It has pads that divide the bikes and keep them secure along with straps for the downtube. Look up RaceFace Truck Pad. Good luck!
Cutties are more aggressive version of flat pumping where your rear wheel loses traction and drifts - used to slash berms to turn on a dime. You use flat pumping to gain speed.
Love the bike design ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
What's the purpose of driving a unicycle? Being able to hold wheelies forever. What's the purpose of being able to hold a wheelie forever? You can do better manuals. What's the purpose of manuals? BETTER BIKE CONTROL FFS
Almost - notice how Bryn is much more dialed - he leans with the body much less, drops his inner shoulder and works with his elbows much more vertically and also his upper torso is much more horizontal. But also an excellent video.
My story. The whole class was going to sports . And when i was lisenting, girl in front of me said "(thats a cutties boy ")and looked at me,when i got home. I googled what does it mean. When i r eliezed what it means. WHAT THE F**K
Of all the guys you have brought to the channel to teach skills Mr. Atkinson is by far the most articulate. Bravo.
You're at whistler... And you're doing cutties in the parking lot...
I do this all the time on bike paths for most of my life! but I never knew they had a name! I would also do this on a scooter!
Pleaaase make a tutorial how to roost a berm! Who wants too gives a thumbs up
They kinda did it...
easy. no brakes, and use your legs!
+Matt Dennison latest vlog has a basic how-to
Hell yeah, been baffling me for ever! "just roost it!" they say. I'm like, "Ok..." May as well said just speak Spanish.
If a vid exists of this, show us a link.
This video shows the technique :) Check this too ruclips.net/video/BdhPGpC7F3E/видео.html but they kind of skip the progression that Bryn does
I'm a little surprised the GMBN video links at the end weren't for How to Replace your Tires (sorry, Tyres) and Rims.

With Carbon rims those shouldn't be an issue
Why no mention of the weight transfer? This works because all weight is on the front, and back is unweighted.
Best cuttie tutorial to date! Awesome
This is an answer that i was looking for.
I love that norco. It's like a mini version of my Aurum.
How to roost or hit a berm pls
Hey Scott, Can you make a video about things to consider when choosing which size bicycle to ride?
this is extrem suportand when you drive with street tires really fast wile its make a stabill drift. ☺
Damn that track in the background is an absolute slapper
This i learned easy nice vidd
Top tips....Get someone else to pay for your tyres and suspension bearings.
I was looking forward to this vid
I thought the bikes were really solid but sideways they wiggle a lot.
And it's a good thing they do. If they were stiffer, the constant strain would lead to damage sooner or later.
Flexibility means longevity.
Marc Wittkowski no.
coen yes
coen 🤦♂️
@@coen8323 yes. yes really.
Someone's been watching Phil kmetz again.
Yep. He did that pumping flat ground video too.
Oh no phil made a video on how to bunny hop! Dude really? I dont think it should reeally matter...
Scottie has a funny expression at 1:40
I hate doing cutties, because I always take it way too far on gravel and eat shit
Kinda like carving on a snowboard
how to wear out your expensive rear tyre without skidding 101
Great!!! An awesome technique for new ones like me!
"Teach me how to cuttie

+Panos Valilis nah it's just somthin i say bud yeah but I think they are sponsored so I don't think they care
Yeah that is absolutely true.
How come you don’t lose the front end, applying so much pressure on the edge?
bryn atkinson is a god
You guys should upload raw footage from Whistler
you guys are so good at mountain biking, I wish I could be this good and comfortable on my mountain bike :')
It takes time and lots of ambition it's not easy but you will become just as good as them if you keep riding
1:47 set the speed to 0.5...thank me later
What pressure folks are using in the wheels
Teach me how to cuttie. Teach me, teach me how to cuttie.
#askgmbn air vs coil shock for enduro
coil is more linear, air is progressive, also depends on your linkage
Bryn, future presenter ???? Relaxed dude ; )
Teach me how to cuttie 🎶
Tq bro pro
Where can you get one of those tail gate covers that are on all the trucks
The best one is probably made by RaceFace. It has pads that divide the bikes and keep them secure along with straps for the downtube. Look up RaceFace Truck Pad. Good luck!
wjhat camera do you use to film these videos
great! 😉
What about full rigid?
are cutties the same as the scandi flick?
nice green bike what is this bike
Do you think it's worth buying a commensal v10 2016 for 2400 FRS second hand but bought 1st hand 2 months ago
it's worth ~3500 FRS new
should your front forks be locked?
How much tough would it be on a fatbike?
Goes to Whistler *rides in parking lot*
How do I do this on hardtail
did somebody noticed the huge flex in the scott bike? wow
Bikes are designed to flex. If they stayed rigid things would constantly break. You need a little give for things to hold up.
Holly sheet. I have the Dirt Magazine "Fundamentals - MTB Technique" video with a then very young Bryn Atkinson teaching how to do cuties.
Yup - someone uploaded it on YT - ruclips.net/video/NDjem5RfuAI/видео.html
Hi GMBN
Which bike to buy enduro or downhill?I ride a lot of in woods but also in the city.
Probably an hybrid.
works better when you jab the front brake on😂😂
Do you have to run lower pressures than normal to do these?
Higher pressure will help keep your tyres on with all the compressions!
What is the difference between cuttie and pumping-on-flat ?
None. They just called different thing like Apple does with technology to make up as they invented new wheel.
Cutties are more aggressive version of flat pumping where your rear wheel loses traction and drifts - used to slash berms to turn on a dime. You use flat pumping to gain speed.
#askgmbn would we ever see World Cup downhillers using enduro bikes on mellower tracks?
Jared Graves got to 3rd Place on his Yeti SB66c at 2013 World Championships in Pietermaritzburg for example

Is this kinda like the Scandinavian flick?
I feel for those link bearings..
Cuttie = drifting :-D
Looks like some people don't pay for their tyres :p
must be hell on those $100 high end trail tires!!
I’m sure these guys who are sponsored don’t care
What helmet is Atkinson wearing?
Looks like a Bell Super
Bell Super 2r
#askgmbn hi, i have 100mm full-suspension, and i want to switch to a 130, is this going to affect my performance ?
Yes, your riding will never be the same. 130mm suspension will destroy your performance
Will I get use to it and regain my performance on the bike or should I get a new frame ?
I broke my arm doing that, because I slipped sideway!😭
I broke my elbow trying this 2 weeks ago
#askgmbn what's the purpose of a cuttie?
Probably just to train bike handling.
I thought the same, isn't the cuttie going to warp your wheel on the trail?
What's the purpose of driving a unicycle? Being able to hold wheelies forever. What's the purpose of being able to hold a wheelie forever? You can do better manuals. What's the purpose of manuals? BETTER BIKE CONTROL FFS
LOL
+Prince Dadey probably. But hopefully doesn't like buying new stuff for bike? I'd buy new wheel every week!
rip ears 1:39
$50 a tire that's $100 I might have to learn this on wet grass
check out the new video!!! "how to do useless but !amazing! tricks on carpark"
Since when is slashing berms useless?
Man, I can feel these tires screaming.
Yeoww!!
have you used brakes while doing that?
”you wanna avoid the cars...”. Two cars drive past
This is what we did on coaster brake bikes when we were kids. Just sayin..:)
warning don't try with walmart bike it will bend easily
Parking Lot 1 in Whistle eh. High rollers...
#Askgmbn why is scottie so stiff on camera lately? He seems uncomfortable lol
You try and present GMBN with a hard-on and a guy you fancy is wiggling his butt around doing cuties. You'd look uncomfortable too. Kappa
Maybe Isis has captured him #marinajoyce
+Smug caucasoid hahahahaha good point!
2
3rd
best i can do is 25
first?
Great way to fuck your tyres, TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
This is pomping flat ground by Phil Kmetz.
Almost - notice how Bryn is much more dialed - he leans with the body much less, drops his inner shoulder and works with his elbows much more vertically and also his upper torso is much more horizontal. But also an excellent video.
Good video if you want to ruin your 80$ maxxis tires! Arrgh! Do it in the dirt or grass to save wear on tires!
Just make sure you don't blow your tyre off your rim eh Bryn?
My story. The whole class was going to sports . And when i was lisenting, girl in front of me said "(thats a cutties boy ")and looked at me,when i got home. I googled what does it mean. When i r eliezed what it means. WHAT THE F**K
Mam, not Mum.. Scott is right
can a hardtail do this technique...?
gripa tambunan yeah but its harder
Riam Mey yeah already try it and got tripped 5 times but it,s fun "no pain no gain" afterall
gripa tambunan how's the progress so far mate?
Can I hear Bryn's bottom bracket ?
ur price is way too high u need to cuttie
this seems like a rear tyre destroyer
Instructions incomplete, I licked the tar on the first left tilt.
How to ruin your tires
Can't be good for the tyres
So your pretty much fish tailen?
That's a lot easier to do had I known that's what your doing
They aren’t tho fishtailing requires brakes and isn’t as cool looking
Bet they can't do a cuttie with one foot on the pedal as they are stopping smhsmh
how destroy your tries 101!!!
Poor wheels
lol you can see how shit scott bikes are, look how the rear moves by doing something so simple as cutties hahaa
Sorry, what is "G" to add in the apex?
