Every time I listen to the most recent Arcadia, I say to myself "this is the best Arcadia to date." Truly incredible how they find new ways to jam this one out. Hoping to get my first Arcadia in Birmingham!
You're not kidding! I thought the Arcadia I got for my 12/30/22 evening was the best ever; I'll have to do a comparison because this one was EXCELLENT.
Ok as a dude from Michigan, I was blown away at the "Hollywood Nights" cover. No one ever covers Seger. He's got some songs that are incredible live. "Travelin' Man" would be a great cover for Goose as well. I mean anything they do I'm going to love, but certain songs always hold a special place. Love this band. Never thought I'd have the feeling that Phish gave me in the 90's, but here we are.
Being in the Midwest (Ann Arbor, MI) through the 90’s myself “Hollywood Nights” was very nice…goose sounds similar to another jam band of that era but not as well known as phish, that band being Ekoostik Hookah (Athens,Ohio ). Goose has less of a bluegrass lean as hookah as well as a more elegant sound than phish. Vocals by Goose are phenomenal… next level. Level of skill by all musicians goes without saying.
the amount of solid type one jams are on a new level compared to Goose even just a couple months ago. Really excited to see these guys keep playing and improving. Cya in April!
Listen to the Red Rocks version. God damn that one is insane. Top 5 best live version of a song they have ever played. So on point and the energy in that amphitheater is unreal.
The first Jam Band I've ever loved. I apologize that that's true, but this is making me a kinder person. On the other hand, Goose has a darkness to them that is, I think, new to this genre. It suits me. I'll be riding the rail...
This was my second show (3/10 my first) and it was truly everything I’d hoped. Had a lot of fun both nights but this was a special setlist and night for me… outstanding
I wasn't sure if that Arcadia was the best ever, so I had to sleep on it and relisten. Oh My....goosebumps and chills. Kind of reminds me of the Phish Murat Theater Bathtub Gin from 1993 where then have a mind blowing jam, bring it down, you think its done, and then there's another face ripper bigger than the first. Except, this Arcadia does it like 4, maybe 5 times. Well done Goose, thanks for the multiple musical orgasm of this Arcadia, the best ever (IMO)
Does anyone know the song they tease throughout the Arcadia? It sounds like a Weather Report song but I just can't place the tune. Trevor starts it at (2:01:42) then Peter then Rick and before long they're all playing it until about (2:11:55). It's distinctly different than any other Arcadia I've seen or heard. I really believe it's Jaco Pastorius (Weather Report). It sounds awesome!
@@ry_storm A little but if you listen to Birdland it is definitely not it, but close. I have been going through the Weather Report and Jaco catalogue for days and can't find a match. Maybe it's just really strongly inspired by the late great Mr Pastorius. He was pretty much the greatest fusion bassist of all time.
I was seeing them the next night, saw the set list for set 1, and said to my buddy, “tomorrow is going to be an all-star show.” And then the unloaded Hungersite, Silver Rising, Arcadia and Dripfield in 90 minutes. We still got a treat on Sunday with Elmeg, Arrow, Western Sun, White Lights and Empress. But you saw a heck of a show
Thought these guys would build on the phish inspiration but no seems they’re gonna coast on the “Jam band” wave cool…… make a few bucks be like the disco biscuits with a Phishier edge cool…. 👍
This autoplayed minimized while I was working. Switched to RUclips window when I heard 'Pocho' around 1:13. Sure enough, they're in Port Chester at the Capitol Theater.

The days of the dead and phish are done. Bands now get notoriety too quickly with the internet. This is the abomination age where anything previously built with passion will be broken down to its more basic form, abmonizied and offered to you as whole. It’s not so… seek the depth
No no no. Not that they’re not a good band. They’ve been playing 5-6 years??? Their songs sound like hokie dokie trey Anastasia band dad rock and the jams are late 90’s phish crescendos what’s missing is the middle AKA…: THE SUBSTANCE. But hey enjoy

I’m from CT too, my neighbor sold his drum set to them a few years back
Another old dead head here, couldn’t agree more!! They’re just mind blowing..
That's what hooked me. Love all the eighties tunes too.

That was crazy. It made me appreciate what a banger of song "Hollywood Nights" is. I actually had to go listen to the original.
Fkn rights, Bro. I was carried away the first time i heard the Goose play Hollywood Nights. next level, brings hope.
These men have really done a lot to put themselves solidly in the jam-band genre. Welcome fellas! Thank you! 🥰
Twas an incredible show. Blown away with how good Goose is....
Rick is the guitar master… makes it look effortless and comfortable but so polished and signature 👍👍 #leadtheway

you can hear Trey's influence in those trills
i agree, the jump they made from last November to now is HUGE! Cant wait to see what heights these guys soar to
Can someone explain to me what type 1 and type 2 jamming means?
@@PaulLaventy type 1 typically stays within the songs chords and progression. Type 2 can go anywhere

I hope this band never gets to the point where Rick interviews the guy in charge of tuning the piano about the ideal humidity.

Love that funky jam on Arcadia! The bass is a lot clearer to me in this video than others I've heard. \m/
On another level now! Can’t wait for all the Ryman shows next week!
I love 'Bob Don'. Haven't heard it much. The Boston version from last night was also great.
All smiles for Arcadia's bass solo! Wish they'd have let him cook for another five minutes tho...
Might be the greatest opening 38 minutes ever by them.

Look at all those delirious kids getting their jam on. The kids are, indeed, alright. Looking forward to joining them in Chattanooga this summer.
