I have a 1794 edition without the AVS suspension and the ride is very comfortable. I was planning to replace it with AVS suspension but after watching your video I decided to keep it the way it is. I may just add an air bag in the future if I need to. Thanks.
Ha I know the feeling...I printed out the TSB and showed them how to do it... big difference after..I tow a 10K travel trailer no issue perfect drive... Love the ride...

Now to the point of dealing with that service manager, you are absolutely 💯 correct in your assessment of his handling of your situation., he should know what his products are without fail, PERIOD. Absolutely no excuse, especially for the cost of these trucks. It was said that the engineers "in general " said that they (engineers) should not listen to the consumers on what to put into their builds because the consumers are not going to pay for it, however, here we are in 2022 paying these over inflated vehicle prices and to have the Service manager to speak to you like that with his total disregard for you as customer of the product company that he works for was and is Unacceptable and I hope that you don't have to deal with him ever again because I would not feel comfortable with his lack of knowledge of Toyota products. No excuses. Finally, I wonder what Wescott Designs would have recommend also, since they are reliable resource in this area amongst Toyota enthusiasts.
Thanks for this video, I have a 2024 Platinum with the same rough ride issue and you've confirmed my suspicions...This is bad engineering from Toyota. There is a TSB (T-SB-0070-22) on this issue which states the max allowable spacing between the bump stop and axle is 45mm (to not create rake). This is less than 2" of suspension travel !! Only way to reduce the rough ride is to adjust up the suspension past 45mm and create a rake angle. Not good. Very disappointing engineering from Toyota for such an expensive truck. (FYI- I have two adjustable height sensors - a driver side and passenger side).

Almost all on road semi trucks have air ride suspension. The problem you are having is to small a air bag if you are bottoming out. Bobtail semi's have a rough ride with out a trailer on but never bottom out. Also i had a 1 ton doge with air suspension from the factory that ran great.
True a larger bag would help but I believe it really comes down to the “stroke length” available. Like I said in the video, there is only like 2 inches of travel available with how it comes from factory. Thanks for watching!
Could someone create a detailed video on how to adjust the linkage system? The dealership isn't providing any helpful guidance. I only noticed this issue when I drove my friend's SR5, which lacks an airbag, and his truck rides incredibly smoothly. I own the 1794, and when my truck is empty, it feels as if it has no suspension - which is unacceptable.

Hey man, thanks so much for watching! Yeah it can be a long road to get into a full time position, you almost always need previous experience to be competitive regardless of certifications. Best way to do it is either start off as a reserve, volunteer, or seasonal to get experience and get to know people. Or you can go the medical route and become a paramedic, as there is a huge shortage of medics. It is super great you have your 1&2 though, that is huge. I wish you luck, and thanks for watching!

2022 Tundra with the rear air suspension here as well and mine rides rough as hell over small bumps. I LOVE the truck and know that no truck is perfect, but I am debating ditching the rear air bags and going to just coils because of this "issue". I havent seen any other fix yet.
Unfortunately your dealer experience is a common thing at every dealer for every manufacturer. It's one of the many reasons I dislike working in the auto industry at the dealer level. Those of us that are intelligent and mechanically inclined enough to fix these issues ourselves are the fortunate ones.
That’s definitely why you always keep the oem parts around so you can put it back to stock before bringing it back to the dealer. But when the dealer isn’t giving you a viable fix, you gotta fix the problem yourself! Thanks for watching!
There is no excuse for faulty air ride. Millions of semi trucks have been running air ride for decades on air bags. I have a Ram 1500 with air ride, it simply won’t work below 15F. Junked it for springs. Looks like the same air bag as the Toyota. Semi leveling valves are also only one per axle but center mounted, no electronics involved. They generally run 2-3 psi empty, 6-8 psi with empty trailer and 50-70 psi loaded. They simply maintain the same ride height no matter the load, it’s just a simple rotary valve that costs about $40.

If you don’t haul and looking for a solution to make bumps and off-roading a little more comfortable what do you recommend?

I get it!! I would really consider lifting the front a bit to fix the problem if you really want to keep the air bags. Definitely worth it.
I adjusted the rear arm just a tag to get the bumpstops off of the axle and the ride is now perfect!
