practice makes perfect and the man has 3 years of it. The amount of practice you can squeeze in to 3 years will produce results you wouldn't believe were possible til you saw it

If you practice for hours a day for three years with the same character, it just becomes muscle memory. It's automatic.
@ exactly, you no longer have to think about how situations should be handled, you react with what is optimal because you've been in that situation 1000s of times
@ yep agreed its just pure muscle memory. All of the truly high level stuff is reactionary from years of conditioning. Anytime I drop one part of a combo I just redo it as many times as it takes till I dont have to think. This process can take a long time though, practice mode is the second home of anyone who wants to be really good lol.

Liu Kang is great but I don't remember people winning tournaments with him during the MKX reign. Flame Fist has a huge damage but Dragon's Fire needs skills. Dualist itself is one of the hardest to use variations in MKX. Liu isn't OP. NinjaKilla is just a great player

I think Liu falls into a weird limbo of being an incredibly strong character that is hard to use well, especially the way ninja plays. Similarly to unstoppable Jason, that’s an amazing character and sonic showed it off, but your neutral and setups have to be on point. Point being, a character can be top tier even with a high learning curve. And a top tier player will elevate them to god-hood.

as a Goro main i know Knicks is the best Goro ever but i also know how hard it is to deal with Dragonfire with Goro.
Lui has those tools Goro cannot do anything against.
just a real bad MU for Goro no matter how good ur Goro is...u cannot defeat a great Lui in a set
Goro is easy to learn but hard to master with.advanced combos are tricky and need good timing he also has good conversions.u have to learn when and how to use the plus moves(he is super safe).
By "to master with" i means u have to learn how to deal with every characters with Goro tools.
Goro is weak against Zoning so it's hard to pick him and win against most characters.
he has limited tools so people think hes brain dead.

Dude before the stamina nerf back in the day, Liu Kang was worse than he is now. He’s pressure was insane, his frames were better. He’s not too much now. He’s a perfect pressure character that you just have to learn to handle. It’s a lot of mids and mind game. It’s not like he has free 50/50s.
MK Character is one thing; the player using that character is everything.

Hey guys just discovered a cheat code when fighting Liu Kang. When you block a combo quickly use this combo... first you press the back button BUT WAIT this part is really important.... press back again... in the pro community we call this a “back dash”

I played about 14,000 games (wins and losses combined) this might sound dumb but... doesn't Goro have some insane + frame rate on many of his moves, or something along those lines? He seems to be very fast for his size, that's the thought that most players experience when they fight a pro Goro player.

NinjaKilla is A MUST SEE for MK11. Best liu kang I've ever seen. Only liu kang player viable for tourney plays but yep knicks goro is insane. Wont forget when I first saw his Goro overwhelm Sonicfox in the kombat cup. Goro's pokes and pressure is insane. Hes even got good zoning tools. Was a great set to see. Thanks once again for the content. Im enjoying seeing MKX again. You defo better be a spectator for the MK11 matches. This is hype

Is it just me or is liu Kang a cancerously top tier character? Massively damaging combos, unreactable lows and over head mix ups., and he had a very short learning curve. The only part of his kit that takes practice and skill is his IA fireball combos. But they are still very easy. He has a armor breaking normal, it just stupid how much better he is than the rest of the cast. And I feel like no one really talks about it. I respect ninja killer but I feel like if he played any other character he wouldn’t be so good. He’s just good at using kangs kit, which is broke as shit. Well hopefully mk11 comes out more balanced, if history repeats we know it won’t be, as injustice 1, mkx, inj2 all came out damn near busted when it came to balance.
Ninja plays Hellfire Scorpion, Piercing Mileena and Balanced Kenshi too. I don't know about his other characters. Plus IA Fireballs are hella hard to pull off consistently, at least if you're a player like me (knows an amount of stuff, but not fully).
