not that it mattered in the end, but when your opponent attacked into your sheoldred with red mana up, i don't see any reason to block there. the 2 chip damage does not matter. If your sheoldred survives to your turn you get that life back from your draw step and then gain 14 more from wheel if you draw a land. all blocking does in that spot is increase the odds of your sheoldred dying to random red removal.
You're right though to be honest I probably would have made the same mistake. It just looked so much like opponent was taking his free attack with the plan of sac'ing then if it's blocked, it feels bad to give opponents free things and even in the worst case it means you get to keep saga (which wasn't any good anymore but opponent doesn't know that). But in this context it was quite important to look at whether that 2 damage mattered, and weighing it against the possibility that opponent is actually selling it as a free attack when it's actually a chump attack to remove sheoldred.
Nice, thanks for sharing the free event draft. I noticed the same thing with powerful white and red cards getting passed late. It seemed especially odd since best of one felt like the time to try to be hyper aggressive. I think a lot of people who don’t usually play VC were in this event.
That last game killed me when he conceded when he had the game won. All he needed to do was play Sheoldred. The opponent was at 8 life and was going to lose 3 because of the One Ring. So they’d be at 5. They would have then drawn three cards because of Sylvan Library, which means they would have lost 6 life from Sheoldred and they’d have been at -1 life
@ true, but most people will select to draw the cards based on what they’re used to doing. And it’s at least worth trying. Worst case it’s still a loss, but there is a good chance he’d have won.
I think your math at 51:45 is slightly off, as you fail to account for the discards from wheel itself? Or am I missing something? From what I can tell: In graveyard, 4 cards + petal. Wheel also goes to grave, but doesn't count for usable card total. Tutor for breach, +1 card in grave, (5) Breach, then play wheel from the grave, so -3 cards in grave (2) This discards bowmasters, fatal push and swamp, so +3 cards in graveyard, (5) (You could play the swamp here if you want to keep an extra mana up, math still works out.) Wheel again as needed, and double petal + thassa should let you win if I'm not mistaken? (Or Brain Freeze them ofc) If the containment priest is a problem, fatal push should handle that. Other then this minor mistake, (I think it's a miss from you?) your play in these drafts was really neat!
@nikhilchhagan7371 what i mean is , rather than being an irritated person at work, cleaning up others crappie work. I'm a happy coworker assisting the team. Because I can listen to vintage cube lsv and not deal with people🦝
*Slaps the top of his low-curve heavy-black aggro deck*
this baby can fit so many UR storm combos
33:00 "Could take Kaito, Kaito's kinda weak though."
33:15 "Kaito's actually a pretty good card."
🤔
The moment LSV put it in his deck it becomes dogma.
Genius will never seem sane to the common man.

Surely LSV wouldn't bluff lots of wins in the video
Perhaps opponents are winning a lot. I haven’t watched yet lol
Not likely to be lots of draws, this isn't chess. So this title literally could apply to any video lol.

For a second, I read: Two draft, two nice decks, lots of whine 😇
I thought: uhhh, never saw LSV drunk 😆
The man is flush with complaint equity and is looking to liquidate.
he gets drunk off his opp's tears ! >.
Overlord could be awesome work doomsday. Put it on top, mill your library, get oracle back and win :)
Unfortunately this is not how Doomsday works. It exiles your graveyard and library (except for 5 cards of course)
thank you for the drafts hope all is well. pained me as a jund enthusiast to see the opportunity for a jund deck in round two passed
I want to shoutout the MVP in the first deck, BL, huge for the deck and made the deck go crazy in game 2

Aww I missed the free drafts by less than 24h! Wish I had known about it sooner
cant believe you blocked with the 2/2 with sheoldred not thinking about a burn spell!!

How do you redeem the free drafts? i tried entering the code and it says its expired?
It was only Monday and Tuesday of this week
@@joshuajohnson2532 dam that sucks
It was a free preview of the actual cube, the normal version of which should be up today I believe.
i missed out too... that sucks
I wonder if the play in the last game was to duress and tutor for breach turn 3, gives 7 chances to see a lotus for the win turn 4 if needed 🤔

Cool decks! BO1 vintage is weird
